- Here is a look at some NEW stuff we have for the racing pigeons. I've been wanting to replace my open pigeon feeders for one with a cover that is easy to clean and will last ages. Done.
Also a look at how the 2024 racing pigeons are coming along. Breeding this year got a slow start but we are full steam now!
Lastly, a spoiler about a new pigeon that is coming to RFRP. Can you guess who it is?

Aztec turquoise looks a lot like Henry but w black not ash double wing banner!! Sooooo beautiful! She also nips just like he does when my hands on “in his luxury turf” 😂
She does look like him indeed. Genetically they both have the same “pattern” allele but have different color alleles (Aztec Turquoise has blue and Henry has ash red). I love the red/silver coloring but only have one red bird in my loft rn. But! I have a silver I just purchased that’s on her way to join our flock 😍

I haven’t forgotten!! It’s a shame I lost so many eggs from the first round. Definitely limits my selection of candidate birds

What's the name of the material you've used for the exterior loft walls? Is it a wood effect composite or real cladding? If it's the former it looks great.
The siding is a composite. It is a waferboard/OSB but has an exterior coating applied to one side. That exterior side is coated and manufactured to resemble true wood siding. If you look at any of the walls inside my loft you’ll see that it is a OSB composite. Great stuff. It comes in 4’ x 8’ sheets.
@@RFRP I thought as much. I could see it was OSB inside and saw someone cut a hole in their loft a while ago and thought the exterior was composite. Do you know the brand name of the material? I can't find anything like it here in the UK that isn't individual strips or 100% thin composite. Perfect material for lofts that I'm going to try and find 👍🏼

I’m glad you are starting up with pigeons!! There is a lot of information online about basic pigeon care and breeding. I try to incorporate basic info and tips for beginners in my videos but I don’t have a video that is devoted entirely to pigeon care for beginners. I will try.
