Very well done, boys. The Sacred Headwaters is an area like no other. Been in there several times and paddled the same route (in a canoe) in 2011. Thanks for sharing your journey.
We are living in sad times. This absolutely should not have happened. Too many large corporations have gotten by far too long merely getting their hands slapped. People need to intentionally get involved to save the future of our grandchildren and so on. Thank you for putting this out.
Very cool story, the key is finding a balance between mining and protection of all our natural resources. Great job guys, very cool short, the swimming Grizzly was off the chain.
Amazing work guys. I've done a year cycle trip around the world and made videos about it, and this has inspired me to take on some wilder challenges, which can help bring awareness to these important issues.
i did a solo packrafting trip here earlier this summer! It was nice to see John (skeptical local) and owner of tatogga lake lodge in the video. I saw so much big game along the Klappan and Spatsizi rivers. There are so many options for packrafting loops in the Sacred Headwaters area and I will definitely be back again. It's the wildest country i've been to.
What an amazing journey! Thank you for bringing such concerns into the light. I've never even heard of the Mt. Polly mine spill till I saw your documentary! I live in southwest Colorado, not far from where the Gold King mine spilled thousands of gallons of toxic mine waste into the river here. I don't know if it will ever be the same. Thank you guys for all your work and I will definitely do my part to voice my opinion to help keep this from happening again! Let's keep the wild, wild!
Only the essentials, thank you for making your documentaries only the essentials really helped me out and getting ready for the Pacific crest Trail and I really like this one too
An engrossing short film guys. I take my hat off to you for bringing awareness to us via your adventure. It's an incredible part of Canada. Mind you had you not escaped the Grizzly it might have been a different story. All the best. Mark
Great video. FYI there are definitely roadless regions of the US with over 20miles between roads. One example is the River of No Return Wilderness / Gospel Hump Wilderness in Idaho, which is 13000km^2 of roadless terrain.
I'm not an expert on the area (though I'd love to go backpacking), but using the legend on maps for the area it looks like there's always a road withing about 7-10 miles of any point. Km^2 is not equal to Km distance
Wow, I was just checking out those mines on the map and wondering about them, I noticed how huge they were. This is the region that sparked my interest in raft packing/ cycling. It's the only way I could conceive of to travel quickly through the region without fossil fuels.
Dream of a journey. But I´d like to know your packing list. Was all self sustained. Seems that at least you had a camera crew with you. I´d love to learn more about the production side of your great video. Logistics must be a nightmare. Great job!
Is there a way to download this video to my computer? I’m a trip leader for Sierra Club leading a trip near Wrangler, AK. While on the boat, I would like to discuss mines. We will not have cell coverage. Thanks 😊
same debate in alaska with the "Pebble Mine" it'll come down to money and which politicians have lined their (and their friends') pockets before pushing it through before they retire.
‘If you don’t stand for something, You stand for nothing’
Thank you
best video on the subject I have seen, bravo boys, bravo.
Fantastic film. It includes some of our favorite things. Bikes, fishing, mountains and a powerful message of conservation. Well done!
Hell yeah, you guys! This was fantastic.
Beautiful storytelling guys. Truly. And a story that needs to be told, heard and responded to. Thank you

I love your work and hope you will continue to chase down and share these important stories.
This mini doc was a pleasure to watch. Wish it were a bit longer though!
An incredible corner of the earth. Thank you for raising awareness for this issue. Mt Polley is a disaster we wish to avoid.
I wish this were longer! Having been blessed to visit British Columbia, it is by far the most beautiful place I have ever experienced
Everyone needs friends like you guys. Great job. Cheers

This was really fantastic! An authentic way to share the dangers, whilst seeing the landscape in question at the same time.

Great movie. Inspiring!
I would’ve liked to have heard more about the new mine and some details of what’s being done to prevent a second mount Polly

Tom Looby what was he talking about, there’s a lot of places like that
Yep. Moose Creek. Rafted down the Salmon River. Magical place. Pristine Wilderness. Can only get in via plane or foot.
I'm not an expert on the area (though I'd love to go backpacking), but using the legend on maps for the area it looks like there's always a road withing about 7-10 miles of any point. Km^2 is not equal to Km distance
Thanks for that! 🙏
Same with my country
This is awesome ! Your mission is awesome and the video is great. Congrats guys !

Beautiful story. Would love to get the GPS tracks / .kml for this. How can I get in touch? Cheers.
Love it!
Yes...just yesss....
I can't decide on the rogue sprayskirt or Alpaca Mule
Anyone know of any other channels like this? Thanks. All I can find are "I almost died" type of stuff.
Just curious...Is this a repost?? How do you get so many awards on your first week after release?
They probably took this film to festivals prior to releasing it on UA-cam
I'm currently getting my geology degree and wanna head to BC as soon as possible
This is mad
31 mine workers give a thumbs down. Terrible!
as my granny used to say" capashoosee dalooshee"
✌
I wish i had a packcraft like @9:28 which could pack all my gear @4:25.
20 miles to a road, you forgot about Nevada...
You guys should pack a little lighter and take tips from Jupiter Hikes. Also why take panniers rather than bikepacking bags?
14 mine workers dislike this video!
Some body knows, they just won't say. That's just the industrial culture. miners know
They should get jobs elsewhere. Leave the planet a better place.

Is this the same videographer that did a Pacific crest Trail documentary?
Hikes with Mike Thorne which pacific crest doc ?

Great video guys! Man i want to go fish there!
Does anyone know the first song?
Hold up... I'll have you know that there are many places in the U.S. where there are no roads for miles.
