Ronke said it PERFECTLY and she was literally cheated on I believe. I think, personally, that these West African girlies in the US are getting divorced because now they are refusing to deal with shit that their mothers would've accepted and stayed married to. Some women are being the breadwinners and also meant to be 'submissive' its craziness. Many of us now are not trying to live like this with the bitterness. Unfortunately many of us are marrying the WRONG type of men orrrrr many are not even built to be wives and they're marrying men who shouldn't be husbands (*cough* Korra...*) and that is okay, not everyone needs to be married abeg. But my in opinion this is the matter.
I’ve been married for 37 years and it is a lot of work, patience, understanding, compromising, respect and love. There are days we don’t like each other but the love and respect for one another always brings us back together as one. We learned a long time ago you are going to have those days and it is okay. My husband is my best friend. He comes before everyone and he feels the same way. We do everything together but we do take time to ourselves just to be silent. Listen not just hear your spouse. The art of listening is a real thing. Good luck to all of you in relationships.
28 years here. You can’t be self conceited or selfish if you want to be married. The good the bad and the ugly we weathered it all 😂. And we still love each other like crazy. This generation is not ready for the sacrifice. It’s a shame.
Yes they are🙄..you literally are the mother to someone’s baby..dating, married, or divorced you are a babymama/babydaddy..THERES NO DIFFERENCE.😂😂..if you have a child with your ex (girlfriend/boyfriend, wife/husband) they are either referred to as the child’s mother/ child’s father or your baby mother / child’s baby father
Single mother, baby mama if you are a woman taking care of your child / children alone, you are in the same boat you share similar intersections. Get off your high horse
Marriage is not for the faint-hearted. it is not an easy institution to enter into and doing it in the public eye while everyone is scrutinizing and picking you apart makes it twice as hard.
Love alot of the people staying in marriage are faint hearted. They'll stay because of others opinion, desperation, low self esteem etc. A lot of emotional batter bruising

Not only when u want them u pretend viewers are not how u live your life by. Entitlment on both ends if u ask me.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable. This is what happens when you make your relationship a large part of your brand. The viewers feel obligated to be a part of it. Easy to open a door but difficult to close. My least favorite part of her whole video is her pretending she doesn’t love gossiping. Clearly she does or she wouldn’t have been begging for this info, especially to specific name. The fact that she called out someone even with the disclaimer that “I know you’re a private person; we never really heard about your husband”. So why do you think you should learn about this now? But I think this is a natural thing. For the last several decades, we’ve been pushed this narrative of marrying is the ‘happy ever after’ and it kind of stops there. This is what happens after the fairy tale ends, and this is something many of us hadn’t learned
There is an element of entitlement, but it's also a element of delusion on the UA-camr side as well. These ladies basically create reality shows of their lives on UA-cam. Don't suddenly act shocked that people still want to know...the good , bad, and ugly.

I genuinely love everything Ronke said. I got married in my early 20s only for a short period of time. I left because of physical abuse from my ex. I resonate deeply with what she said. I've just hit 30 and I thank myself everyday for leaving that marriage.
Hmmm...idk if I agree. Of course they don't owe us anything, but nobody would be in their business if they didn't put folks in it. People parade their families and sell viewers a happy image of their lives, but when things go left, they cling to their right to be private. The selective privacy things is a little annoying.

Great advice - keep your marriage private and don't allow people into it, don't be a people pleaser with your relationship. Divorce is painful & expensive. It can make as well as break you, don't take such decisions lightly. Thank you Fumi - you look beautiful!

Marriage is work. All that superficial mess don’t matter at the end of the day. West African women aren’t staying in struggle love marriages like their elders and ancestors did. That bs is over with starting yesterday.
I wish we spoke more about successful marriages. Marriage is beautiful it is an opportunity to learn, grow, laugh, celebrate, build and MORE. These days several do not prepare for marriage as well as they should (both males and females) and focus on the wedding day and not the marriage. I think people should speak to those who are happily married before taking the step, ask the hard questions, pray, look beyond mere externals and look at the heart and character of the one you want to spend your life with. Also, as Fumi said. keep your marriage PRIVATE. It is a bond between you, your husband and God.
You offer so much wisdom, Fumi. You're like a therapist in these UA-cam streets. Let the session and fabulousity begin! Living and loving all that you do!😊
Her word choice of “baby mama” is interesting. She seems to have a negative view of unmarried mothers (even ones who used to be married). I may be reading into it but that sounded a little bit judgey. I think she looked up to these women because she thought they were “better” than single moms, now they are also single moms. I think she put them on a pedestal simply because they had a ring
Let's be honest here, these channels want the attention. They are happy to share wealth and fabulous parties and their children when it makes them look like the perfect family. They don't care about privacy then. For when it comes to issues that humble and humanize them then they want privacy. They are entitled to that privacy, however I don't think it's fair to criticize viewers, which undoubtedly contribute to their income, for wanting to know more about their life equally for the negative and positive.
Idk but to me, she sorta looks like she’s gloating, but she’s trying to hide it. There’s this slight delight in her eyes that makes me feel uncomfortable. Maybe that’s just her countenance, but she’s definitely a busybody. Find something better to do.
Marriage is not for the meek. INDEED! It's a blessing that also requires A LOT of sacrifice. And I pray more married women are honest with single women about what marriage is TRULY all about.
😂None of your business why they got divorced. These people are public figures but that does not mean they have to divulge every inch of their personal life.to anyone.
This woman needs to quit. If the women got divorced that means the men got divorced. People need to read books, travel and develop their minds and stop talking trash about people you really don’t know. Sorry Fumi not interested in this woman’s comments, so didn’t listen to all of it.
Interesting. I don’t know any of those channels. I try not to follow relationship based channels. I do know Jackie from makeup.. she is still going strong. I hate to see people getting divorced.
Western woman over here (Hispanic to be specific) in the process of getting divorced from a West African and goodness I’m traumatized. I feel like women in west African culture are expected to withstand an endless amount of humiliation from the male gender and the men protected at all cost.
Not the nosey type but she wants to know why they got divorced. How comical 😂. Marriage is not a walk in the park. 19 years in and I can’t even say much but I agree with the part Ronke said You do lose yourself at some point. Too many things to sacrifice in a marriage. Such a great advice aunty Fumi gives.
All we know for sure us the Fumi has found the absolute perfect hairstyle. Period. Age having a baby at 50 marrying at 40. How long will she live are all unknown, but the hair isn't. Lol, perfect style for her. Matches her accent and elegance.
only a dying man will tell you why he's dying, it now up to you to make sure you don't die the same way or help others not die that way. yes everyone likes tea but know that in that tea is someone's reality and learn from it. Thank you Mrs Fumi For the advice
Things NEVER look as they seem behind closed doors. There can be so much different issues going on within the relationship/marriage so, why should they share it with the world? Things like this is private because so much could of happened which had a mental, emotional and psychological impact on that individual and they don’t want to share it- also, people are to quick make judgments. If the individual wants to share what they went through because they believe it can help others, good for them but, don’t be asking people to share their PRIVATE AFFAIRS.
If they share their wealth and other positive private matters publicly, then it shouldn't be surprising when it's expected that they share their negative as well. I don't think any parts of a private life should be publicized.
This is something else. It's alot...we aren't taught to be friends with our partners first. We aren't taught to not lose ourselves. If we're independent we aren't taught to or told that at some point we'll have to loosen our grip on that independence. Not lose it completely but Girl allow that man help you sometimes. We aren't taught or told so many things and if we come from homes without a father in place then Lord help, we definitely have to figure stuff out on our own because Mama don't have time to show us or teach us anything...she gotta work to pay the bills Society and social media dangerously influences some...alot of younger women and men and they go into marriage not really grasping what it encompasses. They go in for the wrong reasons and with the wrong attitude not having learned their roles and what it is God created you to be as a woman, and wife same for the men as a man in general not to mention what it is to be a husband. 🤷🏽♀️ And the enemy is sitting back loving every second of it because we end up doing his dirty work for him not knowing that's what we're doing. Sheesh...its a lot. It's so sad.
Creators share with you to invite you in - but they don't share everything. And they are NOT your family! Parasocial relationships are not real. Can I add too... where was Temi OBSESSED with her husband? I didn't see that at all. She respected him as her husband but she was not obsessed. Is this person ok?
But don't make your learning experience your child's situation. It's hard on a generation that sacrifices for the next but don't have children till you know...because then you are doing what is good just for you...sacrifice is real...
I agree with both the curiosity and glad the West African girlie explained. One as a UA-cam audience family member it does feel like a closeness, and we want to know because when your heart breaks ours does too. Secondly, she is right in the generational gap. Grandmothers and mothers tolerated narcissist and bad behavior from spouses or significant others way too long today the younger generations have more resources to identify toxicity early on and eliminate it from their life.
Thank you Auntie Fumi for always sharing deep, and realistic knowledge to all of us. I am 31 years old, an April baby too and we share the birth date *16th* and I am so private with my life. I don't share it online, I don't share it with no body either. My immediate family alone knows about me otherwise I do not share. And I agree when you say we're still young because personally I've realized it recently that there's so much I don't know yet 😂😂 especially when it comes to relationships. Very much single/celibate until God feels I'm ready to get married and I pray for myself and my future husband that may God trim/prune us where need be, prepare us, train us and give us the healing we need while we're still apart so that when we meet, we'll be good to go. Thank you.
Auntie fumi, please do sister to sister once a week on these topics. Quick question i need your advice. My wonderful hubby likes the idea of his mom coming in to help us with her grand children if i want to go to work in the future. I don't like the idea. Please i need an advice.

welp as a newly turned 30 years black woman in the U.S., my God and his word come first ( always), second to my health .....for over 10 years I've been seeing and hearing all types of crap between women and men of all cultures. but the african American to African culture with dating and marriage and relationships always has some type of struggle going on...its exhausting...i dont want to date because of it all. really id rather have my health and peace. our relantoinships can be so messy .just sad
Fumi you look effing fantastic💯 you said you were using a skin product in the beginning and I have to check the details because your skin is SKINNING💯💥💥💥👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
It’s honestly better to be single. Give your lives to Jesus ask him to fill you with the Holy Spirit . Let the Holy Spirit guide you in all of your ways ask God what his will is for your life. If you do things on your own it won’t end up well.
I don't know why that woman targeted and attacked West African women like that. It almost sounds like she was excited to perceive failure. A TON of people got divorced after COVID. A lot of relationships (marriage or otherwise) did not survive the pandemic. She seems like she has some animosity towards fabulous West African women...
My mum always told me not to covet other people’s relationships because we don’t know what’s happening behind close doors. They are human too.
Sound advice!

It is their fault to idolize someone. Do not blame that person. Be happy for people and keep it moving. Seek christ

I'm 35yrs now and divorced due to infidelity and a bunch of other problems and I see you as my fabulous big sister. Many blessings to you 🙏❤️
Idk but to me, she sorta looks like she’s gloating, but she’s trying to hide it. There’s this slight delight in her eyes that makes me feel uncomfortable. Maybe that’s just her countenance, but she’s definitely a busybody. Find something better to do.
Yes saw that too
Marriage is not for the meek. INDEED! It's a blessing that also requires A LOT of sacrifice. And I pray more married women are honest with single women about what marriage is TRULY all about.
😂None of your business why they got divorced.
These people are public figures but that does not mean they have to divulge every inch of their personal life.to anyone.
Exactly!!!
This woman needs to quit. If the women got divorced that means the men got divorced. People need to read books, travel and develop their minds and stop talking trash about people you really don’t know. Sorry Fumi not interested in this woman’s comments, so didn’t listen to all of it.
I’m living and loving for the fabulousoty I love Mrs. Fumi.
I never heard of any of these people, but Fumi I enjoy your channel. God Bless.
The points you made 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
All we know for sure us the Fumi has found the absolute perfect hairstyle. Period. Age having a baby at 50 marrying at 40. How long will she live are all unknown, but the hair isn't. Lol, perfect style for her. Matches her accent and elegance.
Absolutely
only a dying man will tell you why he's dying, it now up to you to make sure you don't die the same way or help others not die that way. yes everyone likes tea but know that in that tea is someone's reality and learn from it.
Divorced mothers are not baby mamas🤦🏾♀️
Aunty Fumi, can you please do a video on Sharon Ooja’s wedding and her husband who is apparently a multiple divorcee?
Wait, what 😳😳
I can't believe this!
You’re on to something!!!!!!
Peakmill is not divorced
Peak milk is not divorced she said so in her last video
Lol people discovered I was divorced through my ex posting his new wife on socials … queue the questions!
Peakmill is not divorced.
Creators share with you to invite you in - but they don't share everything. And they are NOT your family! Parasocial relationships are not real.
Can I add too... where was Temi OBSESSED with her husband? I didn't see that at all. She respected him as her husband but she was not obsessed. Is this person ok?
This woman in the clip is a cheap Gossip. Soo irritating. And she seems to be enjoying herself.
I wonder if it’s Jealousy from seeing the wives make money online. And it’s hurting their Ego?? What y’all think
🤔🤔
But don't make your learning experience your child's situation. It's hard on a generation that sacrifices for the next but don't have children till you know...because then you are doing what is good just for you...sacrifice is real...
I don't want marriage. I don't care. I can't. I can't. I can't. 😑
She seems obsessed! That's not her business.
Maybe no privacy. Putting all their business out on social media might of caused a strain in their relationship. Maybe.
People are really obsessed with negativity. The way she's even saying it like it hundreds of them meanwhile she couldn't even mention up to ten smh.
Ronkeraji is on point❤
But the unfortunate thing is that many of them end up disturbing another woman's home.
Why though? That's a great opportunity though.
I love Naturally Temi so much!! Her and her husband, Lanre, were goals. I was so shocked when they got divorced 💔
Why does she NEED to know why they got divorced 😳
Yup. She definitely got some satisfaction from saying this. Why are you asking thr women ehy they got divorced? Why not ask the men?
Peakmill is not divorced please
The audacity of this woman to ask for them to tell us why they got divorced is crazy to me.
It’s not just all west African girls it’s also the East African girls
Very well said Ma’am…. Naturally85 (believe that was her user name) one of the OG natural hair gurus. She shared so much of her family woththe world, in the end her husband left her for a fan. Just sad
Omg I knew they got divorced but I didn't know it was for a fan. That's crazy
Love you Fumi all the way from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 ❤❤❤❤
Jackie still not married?
She really ought to get a life. She has too much time to be so concerned with others personal issue. She's just going on and on.Sounds silly.
You look fabulous Fumi... we'll said! I'll see you sooner than later 😘
welp as a newly turned 30 years black woman in the U.S., my God and his word come first ( always), second to my health .....for over 10 years I've been seeing and hearing all types of crap between women and men of all cultures. but the african American to African culture with dating and marriage and relationships always has some type of struggle going on...its exhausting...i dont want to date because of it all. really id rather have my health and peace.
our relantoinships can be so messy .just sad
They might have their reasons girl, marriage happens and so is divorce, life goes on without having to explain anything to anyone period.
Ronkeraji said it well. God bless her and her new journey
Fumi, thank you for keeping it real. 🙌🏽
Peakmill isn’t divorced smh 🙄
The simple answer men cheat A LOT.
🎉 Loving this!
Fumi you look effing fantastic💯 you said you were using a skin product in the beginning and I have to check the details because your skin is SKINNING💯💥💥💥👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Even if you know why they divorced, why does it matter to you?
Peakmill is not divorced!
I’m living and I love Mrs Fumi
It’s honestly better to be single. Give your lives to Jesus ask him to fill you with the Holy Spirit . Let the Holy Spirit guide you in all of your ways ask God what his will is for your life. If you do things on your own it won’t end up well.
I don't know why that woman targeted and attacked West African women like that. It almost sounds like she was excited to perceive failure. A TON of people got divorced after COVID. A lot of relationships (marriage or otherwise) did not survive the pandemic. She seems like she has some animosity towards fabulous West African women...
