Love the black wash a lot.. is dark and decrepit a wax? Also did the sanding help with the veneer chipping? thanks for the video sharing new ways to update other than white wash!

The black wash was created with DIY Paint Little Black Dress and water in 1:2 mixture. You can dilute the paint even more to suit your tastes. Sanding did fix the veneer trouble. It was really humid in my garage so it lifted but a quick sand and it was all smooth.

Do I need to sand a stained brown finish before applying the black paint wash?

Nope. I did because the veneer lifted in my garage due to humidity. Usually, it is not needed.
