What is the follow focus device being used connected with the phone?
I got this lens a few weeks ago and while the pin cussion distortion isn't ideal it's so nice to hand shoot with, I even started using this for photography which is my main work. I don't find the minimum focus much of an issue, a vivitar diopter set is less than 30$

The strangest thing is that I've shown my class your Peripheral short film for a few years and recently came across your new videos without connecting the dots. A very strange feeling! The dystopian headpiece and voice effect, man... loving this, a lot.
I recentlu watched the series "ANDOR" and there are few scenes where they rack focus the anamorphics and god damn those looked bad. The squeeze ration was all over the place
Yeah you definitely start to notice those things when you get into lenses! This lens has a constant squeeze factor so you don’t need to worry about that with this one.
Preference between this and the S35 Sirui 35mm f1.8 1.33x anamorphic from your channel earlier? The production quality of your vids is top notch as always btw my goodness

As far as I’m aware the minimum focus distance is a design characteristic of the lens itself. Close up diopters are just the reality of shooting anamorphic, they take seconds to screw on and completely switch up how you use the lens. Definitely try them out.

Love sirui for these. Only thing holding be back is the lack of 2x squeeze. Still using my ISCO + rapido combo because of that. otherwise I'd be all over these Sirius

It’s actually a Chinese name, 思锐 (Sī Ruì which literally translates to Think Sharp). It’s pronounced Sī as in Soot and Ruì as in ray of light. Source: me a dude who sorta speaks Mandarin.

It's the Saturn.
An amazing lens. I was about to go for Laowa's Nanomorph, but SIRUI released the Saturn 35 and it's incredible. Gx is right about the minimum focus distance. You need diopters to get in close, but if you do have one, the anamorphic bokeh goes crazy. I seriously hope they keep developing the Saturn line. I would love a 50 or higher like this to have your wide and tight shots.

Love the low key lighting, getting some Mr Robot vibes from some of the framing too. Stark, moody, beautiful images.
Oh and yes I love what Sirui is doing but I'm a bit sad and confused that these new lenses aren't available in L Mount when Panasonic has been ahead of the curve in supporting anamorphic lenses.

Would it be possible to put these full-frame anamorphic lenses on a speedbooster over the m4/3 sensor? One of the things that kept me away from their m4/3 line-up is that when compared to my spherical lenses on a speedbooster, I would not gain much width, only lose height.
What camera do you recommend to pair with these lenses ? If weight, compactability etc are your main focus.
IDK if you guys realize this, but the very end of the video with the hologram spinning thing; he literally set it up during a snow storm here a few days ago, and there is no CGI!

this lens looks really cool, how does it compare to the other 35mm anamorphic u got from them?
The other 35mm lens is made for APSC so it’s actually tighter than this one which is made for full frame. If you put this lens on an APSC camera however it will be the same field of view. The APSC one is a bit faster (so it has shallower depth of field) but it’s much heavier and larger.
