The only thing you kept was the skull? That makes me sick I hunted a Brown bear on Kustatan for days and we packed out the rug, head, and much meat, this is exactly why Alaskans don't like people from the lower 48 coming up to trophy hunt, if you kill it you eat it.
Unfortunately your one of those people that see something and assume. Just because he walks out with the head doesn’t mean they didn’t make another trip.
I wonder if they get bad luck after they kill the grizzly.im from the blackfeet tribe and I was told not to kill bears if I did I would get bad luck or something would happen to one of my family members
@@BY-dq3mt They kill a lot of cubs. These big boars are too much for a sow who's trying to defend her cubs. They kill off every cub so the sow will go in heat. So when you see these big boars being hunted and killed, think about them cute little cubbies that were saved!
I hunt and always have an appreciation for these animals. They live in the wilderness and they survive hour by hour, day by day in conditions that we would die in very quickly.. when I see a hunt like this it’s bitter sweet. What a huge bear and to think that the king of the wilderness got fooled by a few guys with a piece of plastic in their mouth. Idk if I would hunt an animal like that just for the rug and the skull... but, to each their own.

The government, while carefully managing wildlife habitat, seeks to thin the population of bears by thirty or so bear per year for the Health of the environment. The hunters felt deeply. This is a real act of human life interacting with the animal kingdom. And VERY well filmed. Beautifu!
I know me and my wife was asked if we could go anywhere in the world where would it be , and we both have said Alaska everytime......just a beautiful majestic, intriguing place ......
A 9mm will graze off a bears skull. I know people hunt bears with pistols, but those are powerful ones. I'm sure a 9mm "could" kill a large bear but it's not effective at all.
I love fishing so much and always catch and release but if I don’t I eat what I keep. I couldn’t imagine killing such an amazing animal for sport. Just watching that thing up close would be something to witness
Hunting a bear that size with a bow id want to know forsure weather it's 8yards 12 yards or 20 yards, hit just a bit too high and you've got yourself a non vitality wounded bear to track through the willows, that can go real bad real fast. No problem with hunting for food.. But to kill a Majestic Beast like that for fun, I wished you would have confronted him like he was, naked and with bare hands
He did approach him as he was. Man makes tools, and the bow is a tool. Expecting a man to kill a Grizzly with bare hands? Would you expect a woman to get in a boxing ring against Mike Tyson with a pool noodle?
There is a lot of after the kill recreation .Who would be twelve yard,s from a huge bear with a bow, that would stop and take the time to look through their finder. At twelve yard,s you sure don,t have to worry if he is close enough for a shot.

What a massive enormously strong animal. Imagine if he had charged the hunters, little doubt someone would have died. Risk versus reward was in this hunters favor, thank God.
it only made it more stressful and exciting on the spot. Just imagine listening to that, looking at that HUGE bear face to face while trying to figure out the right time and skill to get a vital shot....that needs skill

@@MusicMan_2000 from what i've know these bears are killed just for their hide only, as you can see that back pack wouldn't fit any meat, nor you see others pack it out, just one pack is filled with a hide..i killed a black bear and it takes me 2 trip to haul out a medium black bear meat carrying up to 60-75 pounds of meat.

@@ObsidianJayMusic how do you know he didn´t have the meat in the backpack bc hunters are using the backpack for the suplies and the meat

Had to range find a bear at 12 yards 😂😂
