Have you ever noticed an issue with Audi's that have the mid-level 3D B & O stereo? I have a 21 A7 that makes a popping/crackling noise. It does this all the time and has been confirmed by Audi technicians. It's not overly loud and can best be heard at volumes a little less than normal. I was given a 24 A6 loaner while they did some troubleshooting on my car and the loaner did the same thing. The tech replaced the amp in my car which didn't help. They also verified another 24 A6 they had in their showroom had the same problem but that a RS-6 with the high-end B&O system they had did not. They concluded that this is normal behavior for this system, which is absurd. There are a lot of Audi forums with other owners complaining of this very same problem for years now with no resolution from Audi.
yes, the top end system gives you an 9in sub I believe, this share the 6.5in with the lower end cars and the Audi 10 speaker. the 19 speaker on the 5 and below also shares this same sub size. you have to step up to the 6 series and above to get the bigger sub
Please do a review of Q8 e tron B&O system - that one has the sub, similar speaker placement, but I’m concerned about some people calling it a bit harsh.
Is it really loud inside when sound is on max volume? Loud music is reasonably important for me in a car.. And also, where do u put ur phone there? Between two cup holders? Is it convenient? Ty!

Any chance you could test the new GV80 with the B&O. I’m wondering if there is a B&O system that will ever earn them an “s” tier rating. It seems they are destined for B-A tier only.
Does the system on the A7/S7 sound pretty similar to this? I have an S7 and I found the bass to be a bit loose and lacking extension on the lower end. Tried to play with the "bass" as well as "sub-woofer" settings but all they do is making the bass bloated and muddy.
if you have the b&o it sounds exact same as A6. Same speakers same placements of speakers. These systems are not meant to be a lots of bass, its more about clarity. Never fully turn up bass and subwoofer settings all the way up its going to easily blow your woofer speakers.

I dont know how this system can get an A rating. i tested it in the A8 and for me it was far worse than a tesla model y for example.
