I have wired the radio in my 2003 TLs, but since there is no connection to the equalizer, there is no power to the amp for the subwoofer. I added the pin for the SWC and that works. You talked about a solution to connect to the equalizer/amp to make the subwoofer work. Have you put that solution together? Otherwise, can you recommend the wiring changes necessary to the equalizer wiring to power up the subwoofer?

Not sure what I will find when I get the radio out but hope I can make the sub woofer work. Is it possible that there will be something extra behind the existing head unit? Any suggestions where to put the USB female plug?
Most common install for a subwoofer is to put a line out converter on the factory sub. It is possible that there might be some cut wires behind the radio but I doubt. You can place the usb plug where the factory cigarette lighter is.

@@XxBUCKZxX ah okay so this radio is $399 and then the accessories are another $70-100. The install is a bit lengthy so I could see a shop charging $150-250 to install the items. I would say you could go to a shop and pay $650-700 total.
I have a 2007 TLS. I’m getting bad engine noise from the front left dash speaker. It’s intermittent and gets worse with the headlights on. Sometimes it will stop if you hit a bump or lock the doors. Any suggestions? Thanks
okay so the front left dash speaker is a tweeter, the tweeter has a capacitor to keep it from playing low frequencies. I would try replacing the tweeter and hope that eliminates the issue. Its your cheapest quick fix, also make sure all your battery terminals are tight and the ground point is clean. The engine noise is only through that speaker correct?

It is intermittent and sometimes starts/stops when I hit a bump and gets worse when the headlights are on. Even with the stereo off (new alpine double din) it hisses. when you turn the key off it hisses until the amp powers off. The stock amp is in the passenger side kick panel right? I believe it is set up passive. Maybe the rca for that channel is grounding out?
@@warren6172 ah yes if you have an aftermarket radio it sounds like it could be the factory amp. But that channel controls the door speaker and the dash tweeter. But you are only getting it from the tweeter which is leading me to believe that is what it could be. But yes it could be a faulty RCA if you have a chance to disassemble and switch the RCAs around to see if you can get the hissing to move channels.

The DVD drive is most likely bad, we recommend finding another one used that is verified working. You will need the code for the NAV if you have the VIN of the car it came from and the serial number on the device you can use this site radio-navicode.acura.com/

The codes are usually written under the cap of the engine compartment fuse box

That’s ground loop noise check all the ground pins and how close they are to power cables

Assembly/removal is identical but the wiring is slightly different for the CL.
