Allyn you slay me with those jokes! Your enthusiasm is infectious and that is what drew me to your channel in the first place. You spread the knowledge without it being boring. Keep it up Bruh!!
I started mowing at the age of 7. Still enjoying it 30+ years later! You either got it in you or you don't! Allyn let's see the new 60v Toro SUPER recycler vs Angus! Keep the great content coming!
I have a 17 year old Echo GT-225 trimmer with the same spark plug. It needs a new bulb primer now and I've replaced the tank. Still runs great. I've been running the premised gas for 15 years. I use it for heavy weed eating around the property.
LCN -- Thank you for all the great tips week after week! I'm a 25 y/o first time homeowner and I've got a HUGE front, back, and side yard (corner lot life). I have learned to love the mow and all that comes with it -- it definitely never feels like a chore!
I'm new to lawncare(2yrs) still learning my lawn and took the challenge to repair my 2yr old sod. It's exciting to see the results( lawncrew cut St. Augustine as if it were Bermuda which I didn't know at the time) can't wait to see how well it takes off bt the end of this month 😀
I was just pressure washing blowing leaves out of the ditch and washing watering the lawn with huge mist wind now it's cold and rainy very evenly wet very satisfying
I picked up an electric powerhead a little more than a month ago. The old torro finally gave up the ghost after about 10yrs. I couldn't be happier. I can do the things I need to (trim, edge, blow) and still have about 50% battery left over. It is also a little bit lighter than the old gas powered unit too.
I got the 40V DeWalt string trimmer a couple year ago, which is now discontinued and I have an oddball battery and charger, but I love this trimmer. I just got the DeWalt FlexVolt blower and love it.
Absolutely Fantastic video! I love your sense of humor. Awesome motivation for the rest of us. Great info on battery operated tools ......and the benefit of no gas fumes or air pollution. Thanks so very much as always. 🏡
Bought a used Husqvarna TS 348 with only 24 hours on it. Husqvarna put a zero turn seat on it. OMG its like mowing in recliner. great fabricated cutting deck. I love that machine. Have an EGO trimmer that is fantastic. I used to have a half acre fenced lot and one battery charge would do the whole yard. The newer ego batteries give you 5 lights to show battery life.
When are we going to start seeing more content from the “your dad" diyer lol. Good video, definitely can relate to the new homeowner diyer, that was me 3 years ago when I moved into my new home.
Salad bar yard.. Yes thats mine. Agree looks nice after a mow. I liked the front wheel drive. Allowed me to lift the front to disengage quickly on sharp turns. Didnt have to let go of the drive bar on the handle.
Just wanted to thank you for costing me $350 dollars after watching this video. I’m such a toro fanboy I went and bought the blower and string trimmer to go with my Super Recycler. Then went and bought some RGS off your site. Thanks for the 1 gallon jugs!!
Hello from Palm Harbor! If this vid doesn't doesn't get people fired up and busting to get out on the mow, I don't know what will. Lawns are looking great up here thanks to your magic sauce and sage advice. It wouldn't be Sunday without the Lawn Care Nut video. BTW ... where are the Boogaloo Assassins? NO! No! No!
I’m right there with you on the battery tools for maintenance. I love mowing with my super recycler then switching over to my ego edger, weed eater, and blower all on a single battery.
No homo I absolutely love you bro..Not only are you a great teacher and mentor but an amazing friend. You’ve been a big inspiration to me and the the lawn community..regardless what region of the earth lawn care is discussed everyone will know the name Allyn, the ORIGINAL LAWN CARE NUT.. wishing you the best in everything and all your endeavors bro 🙏💪
I saw the VP fuels LCN, I’m a huge fan it never lets me down and fires every time. I also use a splash of Lucas fuel additive and Stabil with ethanol free gas in my mower, reliability was never easier. 🤙🏼 keep up the quality domination!
"the only people in the world that actually own Pylex" I almost fell out of my chair!🤣 On a serious note though, you are spot on as always Al... Enjoyment breads success, which brings more enjoyment, that brings enjoyment.
I bought some noise canceling beats back in 2019. It's awesome because the Toro Timemaster is loud and I couldn't hear my pod casts through my ear buds. Now I can barely hear the mower. I couldn't imagine not listening to my pod casts while doing yard work (mowing, weeding, edging, yard cleaning). My tip is find you some good pod casts. Political, sports, economics, entertainment, true crime, doesn't matter, find something that will entertain you. For me, it starts to get dull, if I don't have my pod casts, when mowing and edging takes me about 45 minutes. Being left with my thoughts for that long can make the work go slower and less enjoyable. The pod casts speed up the time for me, and if it's a good pod cast and I finish the mowing and edging for before the pod cast is over, it sometimes encourages me to do more work that needs to be done, because I want to finish the pod cast. So, I could end up mowing, edging, cleaning up and then doing some weeding till the pod cast ends. Just my 2 cents. It's helped me enjoy yard work. I feel I would enjoy it less if I didn't have something to listen to.
u said u should get a mower u like using so u enjoy mowing. funny story. i actually hated mowing the grass, but i thought to myself...if my grass was actually NICE, maybe i wouldnt hate doing it so much. i go on to da youtube over by der and enter, the Lawn Care Nut. since then(2016), ive bought a new mower HRX217, sprader(earthway), done soil tests, and just 2 weeks ago, bought a TV to hang in the garage so i can enjoy me a new LCN video outside. soundbars coming this week for out there as well...lol also, can i just say...Matt Martin is totally Category 4, Elite Professor. i believe in that guy, but man is it hard for me to follow lol
I have 2 EGO weedeaters one like this in your video along with the newest one they just released. I really like them and they work great. Lots of power. The new battery has a fuel gauge as they call it and it's a game-changer.
Favorite indeed. Laughed out loud a lot. Was losing my desire in the lawn. Torpedo has been a bit of a discouragement because I can't put down new sod unless it's completely removed. Thanks for this.
Allyn, long time listener, first time caller... well you know what I mean. I've learned a lot from you, but I have to disagree on the mower selection advice. I've tried push, front drive, rear drive, and riders and I have found the best looking, straightest stripes to come from a push mower. I also think putting in the effort to push the mower builds character and, more importantly, makes the post mow beer taste better. Cheers!
I'm so glad to see you approve of the EGO carbon shaft trimmer...my wife bought the same one for me for my birthday. Also have the 530 CC EGO blower. Good line of products and I've been impressed so far. Loved the scenarios at the start! Cheers!
LMAO I'm the new home owner and I've bought the seed but I've been watching you and a few other guys for a few weeks to make sure I do this right first....time will tell I know im starting a bit late but like you say it's never to late to start in this yard relationship
My Dad is on point and a huge Scott's guy. I'm just now showing him other fertilizer and soil amendments. I even got him hooked on a few UA-cam guys such as yourself. Bought his first dethatcher for his riding mower and loved what it did for his yard. He does love his KBG too and loves being outside. Great vid once again sir!
As funny as it seems I have an 18 year old mower that was given to me for free. It’s a John Deere JA62. It’s rear wheel drive and self propelled. Aluminum deck and I love it. It starts easy and I love using it.
I just switched from gas Stihl to Milwaukee battery combi-units. IMO, no one can touch Milwaukee 18V tools no matter what it is. The string trimmer, edger, and blower and perfect for DIY'ers. The 4-gallon backpack sprayer can really "Throw'er Down" too. Great videos as always though!
I always had trouble getting the ortho sprayer To screw on correctly but then I figured it out. If You turn the mixture dial to "0 "before you attach the reservoir it will screw back on to the proper position.
yard looking on point! I cannot wait until it warms up here in northern Mn to get some green up! I am also jealous that life looks completely normal in Flordia in the stores.
Did the bio stim and green punch last week and man can i tell a greener line between me and my neighbor. Although my lawn isn't fully established only had one full season to grow from sodding it's slowly getting better and better. Whoever did it did not put a good layer of top soil underneath so it's patchy thick and thin hopefully it'll catch up one day
I thought you had been out in the sun 🌞 too long when you said the black toro mower was cool. Already 80*+ here in Florida, I bet it's HOT! LCN MY GO TO GUY FOR LAWN CARE!
As a “millennial” father Im here to say I love the new balance shoes !! You’re not a boomer bro. You’re a cool guy that happened to be born a couple two three years before me over by der!
Great video man!!! I just bought an ego mower and blower but not self propelled but it'll work I cant wait to get into the lawn man I've got a huge yard to mow now and i love it
Best thing about the cordless power tools is you never have to worry if they'll start in the Spring. Charge battery...plug trigger...good to go. (I have the Echo 58V line, mower, string trimmer, blower, chainsaw. I would not recommend that line until there's a battery redesign and they actually invest in a 2nd Gen system.) Ego would be my recommendation. (Don't know the Toro line.)
Love the video, I had to ask a friend of mine the other day, "Wait, you DON'T like mowing!?" lol EGO is the best! And their newer batteries DO have the 5-LED fuel gauge. But Toro is great too, I had their 725CFM plug-in blower before I got my EGO cordless.
Amongst all your tips I’ve learn over the years the most important tips for me personally is don’t skimp on cheap equipment. Mower, edgers, weed eaters, blowers, sprayers, drop spreaders plus chemicals and fertilizers all adds up but it’s worth every penny not only in quality but also being more efficient with my time. I just buy one piece of equipment every year. I got a Honda mower the first year then an echo weed eater now this year, because of stimulus, I got a battery back pack sprayer an echo edger and a sun joe dethatcher. Let the dominating ensue!!! 😈
I got a toro super and I love it and I have DeWalt tools, so I went with their blower and I'm happy not having to spend half-hour trying to start a blower

@@515Mike how could you know if someone dies or doesn’t maybe they just need the right mentor?
Yep. As soon as I started enjoying the mow, my yard started looking a 100 times better. Cheers allyn
Agree man. Lawn care is a hobby and passion for me. It’s relaxing and calming
As a semi-professional musician, I really do enjoy the rounded selection of music on your videos.
You took the words out of my mouth I bought the time master this weekend and I enjoyed mowing again
The white new balance shoes got me. Lol
They sure are some comfortable shoes. These days I mow in flip flops!
The one handed string edging is impressive
Mowing is a perfect time to get into my “nothing box!” My wife hates that I can think about absolutely nothing.

Before I watched the first thing I thought is that you really have to love using the equipment you have when taking care of your lawn. Good video.
I just bought new EGO edger, string trimmer, and hedge trimmer. I love them.
