I've been watching some of your vids over the last week, and you, my friend, are a very talented young man. The shot of you riding this thing, mowing around your lawn was funny. You just earned a subscriber! Keep the vids coming!
Pretty awesome but you do need to tap a hole in the shaft and rotating parts and put in some greases fitting because the metal will wear out fast! And you could buy a pretty nice and cheap seat online to put it on! :)
I just finished watching Ted - talk about Antigravity in future technology with nuclear proposal and my God it's in the same field of them. thank you for the video brother.
It actually goes a lot faster than I was expecting with your weight on it. And yes, it does look like you're mowing the lawn with an "old man" scooter.
That is so cool!! You should put it up for auction on ebay and see what it will fetch! I wish I could have done that to the parents mower when I was a kid!!
You need to go to school for engineering my friend!! Your a natural, a engineering savant. You would go far if you try. Good welds too, for not knowing how to do it. I teach welding so I know what I am looking at. I am sure your welds look real good now that your use to welding as well. Video. well it is good too!!
lol just cause he builds this doesnt mean he has a bright future in engineering. Kind of ignorant to say that tbh. This isnt quite what engineering is.
I just built one today and tested it on idle... it worked... tomarrow I will hook up a throttle cable and see if I can get it it to go 30mph with a 6hp toro engine :D
years ago I seen an old chain drive push mower welded to a trike frame and the chains ran to the wheels looked like it would have worked love your set up
Thanks for uploading this. I started welding just over a year ago. This mower is now awesome! I'll give you one idea I would have put some thin plate steel on top of the deck flat on it so your two seat posts would be welded to it. I would hate for the deck to start rusting and operator weight cause a post to break through the deck and hit the moving blade under my arse. Stay safe and inspect often. I just landed here at this video. I like it so much I hit subscribe and will have to look at what else you got here. Keep up the creativity!!!
Impressive! A poor man's riding mower! If it works and it seems to do just that just as a traditional riding mower does, who am I to judge. I'm very impressed! I'm not very good at welding either but your ingenious idea seems to work rather well. Awesome job!
great job man! i would suggest you start a mini rider mower business and patent them. use a snapper rear drive self propelled mower instead and turn that into a mini rider. they have steel wheels with ball bearings in them so wont wear out as fast plus has variable speed too. it would be a good business to start and some big riders cant fit where that mower can.
Great video you should medal with the pully sizes and the belt sizes take the Exhaust off and make a new one straight pipe ;] even play with the govnor spring to get bit more revs out of it ;]
thats cool! i used to have a really old self propelled push mower with a jackshaft/ sprocket right out the side of the engine, that woulda been cool to mount a straight axle to.👍
I thought no way when I first saw the mower because I have wore out gear boxes on 3 different Honda mowers just pushing them. I am amazed, that's funny.
Kool rigging. I like the friction drive.Theres an informative video at John Wade, you tube called 'go kart steering explained.Including Ackerman theory'
so you pretty much rewire the "stop lever" mechanism to the pedal right? so that way the spark plug can engage with the armature / alternator when you start the lawnmower. and when you release the pedal the lawnmower mechanically shuts off.
That is fkking cool, lol. i never would of thought you could turn a pushmower into a riding mower untill i seen this shit... hell i would do the same with my self propelled, but its front wheel drive so it probaly dosen't have an axle.. but, all in all. thats awesome bro!
good job but even more impressive is the wheels and shafts didn't break.
I started watching this thinking... This is beyond ridiculous... Watched the whole thing and now I think it is beyond ingenious!
First time i have ever seen a push mover that you don't push..
AFTER DARK WTF
same
AFTER DARK There called self propelled mowers.
Jay Bass ikr? you dont push it anyway
i call them a push mower
i thought about doing that a few years ago but thought it would be ridiculous. Glad i found this video of someone who actually bothered to do it :)
How the heck it sounds? :DD
It's not slow at all for a rider. Cool machine!
it’s funny how i saw your comment this early lmao
super video.. i'm 75 and find this a fun project going to have to look for self propelled mowers and try to make one
I've been watching some of your vids over the last week, and you, my friend, are a very talented young man. The shot of you riding this thing, mowing around your lawn was funny. You just earned a subscriber! Keep the vids coming!
Cool but it does give you that handicapped look when you go by on it.
Now that is really some backyard engineering! I would be glad to tune that up!
Dude, I never comment on youtube videos but I just had to say...Job well done Sir!! That thing is awesome haha!
That's pretty badass man, DEFINITELY BEATS WALKING!!!!!!!!!
Pretty awesome but you do need to tap a hole in the shaft and rotating parts and put in some greases fitting because the metal will wear out fast! And you could buy a pretty nice and cheap seat online to put it on! :)
now that's a real American hero!!!!!!! I salute you !! I have an 8600' lot so not bigg enough for an expensive riding mower but still a big larg.
Nicely executed; may not have good space and comfort, but it is quite simple for a design. You even kept it all on the push mower deck.
That thing is a death trap, but it is one of the coolest contraptions that I have seen put together. Thumbs up!!!
That is so cool!! You should put it up for auction on ebay and see what it will fetch! I wish I could have done that to the parents mower when I was a kid!!
i found a honda civic guys
Amir Zamoum where ?
It’s a joke
I have to give you a thumbs up for the idea. You have a talent that most of us wish for.

+joseph brendel Agreed! Natural talent, bright future!
lol just cause he builds this doesnt mean he has a bright future in engineering. Kind of ignorant to say that tbh. This isnt quite what engineering is.
Adrallon Ded It actually is engineering.
Hi there
Keep on cutting
Good job
Ride off in the sunset
Have a good day
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What a lovely mower you got there.
Great ingenuity 👍🏽
A safety tip over switch would be a good addition 😀
I want to make one out of my dad's old mower! It looks so fun!
Nice! Those Murray/MTD rear wheels will have the teeth stripped in short order but very ingenious.
I just built one today and tested it on idle... it worked... tomarrow I will hook up a throttle cable and see if I can get it it to go 30mph with a 6hp toro engine :D
that thing actually moves along pretty well
That is one hell of an idea and I say well done buddy
Oh look a new 2018 Honda
Chonda

Earned another sub here. I LOVE IT. Freaking awesome!!! Great job in the steering too man . Impressed!!! Steven
Thats awesome! I need one like that since I got 10.000 sqf of lawn.
I fucking love this bro
That is really cool

The only problem I see with that is there is no where to put a Keystone!! Yeah!!! WeW!!! Great job!!!
ride it down to the pub for a beer. excellent work

Cracking Open a Cold One With the Boys
And while other kids are hustling mom and dad for an easier way to mow their yard you go out and do it. Smart kid!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow. That's actually pretty cool. Does the drive system still work well then?
I tied one of those wheeled seeders onto the back of my 5 hp honda It works great and I don't need to do any welding
Subscribed outta respect 🫡 I’ve thought of this same thing and wanted to do it 😂 you rock dude!!!
man I wish I seen this when I was a kid lol! this sure beats walking behind it good job!
I love it! That is Awesome! Can you make one for me to use in my business? You are a Genius.
Great video you should medal with the pully sizes and the belt sizes take the Exhaust off and make a new one straight pipe ;] even play with the govnor spring to get bit more revs out of it ;]
GENIUS!...You should be designing rocket ships or something, very cool video!
Your neighbours must love you!
You are an inspiration to all that is man.
Solid wheels, an electric motor and is perfect.
You're a genius, congratulations!
Thats the Greatest thing Ive seen today!
Why? Because I can.
God Bless the USA.
This is hilarious! I love how you used something weird to make a go kart! you gained a sub!
cool invention
thats cool! i used to have a really old self propelled push mower with a jackshaft/ sprocket right out the side of the engine, that woulda been cool to mount a straight axle to.👍
I thought no way when I first saw the mower because I have wore out gear boxes on 3 different Honda mowers just pushing them. I am amazed, that's funny.
You could also call it the "Minnie Driver".
i think i know what my next project is!!!! this channel is awesome sauce!
This is how the Seedeater One mower was born lmao....good job man :)
The part you came for, starts at 5:30
Love it! How do you do this to a regular push mower that doesn't go by itself?
If you look at the old riding mowers of the early 60’s they were not much different than this.
She's a beauty no doubt.
you have earned a subscriber my friend lol keep these coming
you need to go to school bro, polish off that talent of yours... u got a gift for sure
I like it and will make one when I find the proper mower
thats awesome man i got an old lawnmower i think thats what im gonna do to it
wow that thing is cool... good job!
Kool rigging. I like the friction drive.Theres an informative video at John Wade, you tube called 'go kart steering explained.Including Ackerman theory'
I believe the term is "BIRDSHIT WELDS".But a great idea.
Definitely Captain of the Nerd Herd!!
Just thought about the same thing. I knew a simple search on youtube somebody already has done it haha.
Brilliant... now I want to mod mine!!!!!!!!!!
pretty cool mang. looks dangerous. pretty cool.
so you pretty much rewire the "stop lever" mechanism to the pedal right? so that way the spark plug can engage with the armature / alternator when you start the lawnmower.
and when you release the pedal the lawnmower mechanically shuts off.
I just thought about HIS IDEA today. I'm going to try it with a battery mower.
you my friend have a talent others dream of...Ingenious
awesome engineering work!
Do the girls think your tractors sexy? XD
lmao
The word genius comes to mind🤓
Good job the welding will come in time the great mind you were born with and how you are using it awesom my friend
i went from the big bang theory to home made lawnmowers.....
Very good video maybe you can make conversation kits.
awesome mod, if I had a lawn I would build one
this is awesome I want to donate a new set of wheels for you
Great! Hoped to see a build like this on Instructibles!! Just what I wanted to see!!
that's awesome man
great job!!
Wow that's really cool and a good idea
great machine man
You should patent that. Genius
U could ride to town & get a Beer XD if the cops pull ya over well good luck running from them LOL
+69ChevroletNova Cant charge ya for "cutting the grass"
dude that is fucking engineering right there!
I've always had the idea but never saw anybody do it. 🏁
That is fkking cool, lol. i never would of thought you could turn a pushmower into a riding mower untill i seen this shit... hell i would do the same with my self propelled, but its front wheel drive so it probaly dosen't have an axle.. but, all in all. thats awesome bro!
Excellent work!
Hell, If it works, it works good job man
Pretty Frick'n cool. Wish I woulda thought about that when I had to mow my lawn. I've got kids now so it's much easier to just let them do it. Lol.
nice. wish I had your talent
put a turbo on it lol
Tim Groot. or nos
Tim Groot no twin turbo
