Thanks for inviting me down to Austin for this! I had a blast!
The crossover that we didn't know we needed!
Whoa...awesome.
I hope we see a “cocktails after dark” with this.
I've seen your 19th century Coca Cola vid before this, as well as your simple syrup video. I LOVE that they invited you and you went that far to join in the fun. LOVE IT! This was a trip!
Phenomenal collaboration! ♥️🕊️🙏
What an unexpected surprise crossover this is. But a welcome one.
This is not a crossover I expected, worlds are melding, universes are colliding!
Dogs and cats getting along! PANDEMONIUM!
“If Wonder Bread Farted” killed me 🤣🤣🤣
Glen and Friends and Whiskey Tribe! My 2 youtube world's have collided.
Age this one, and then bring Glen back
To quote Dr. Peter Venkman: “… dogs and cats living together - MASS HYSTERIA!” Was not expecting this collaboration. What a fun video.
Wow. This is one of the best UA-cam crossovers I’ve seen. So unexpected and so awesome! Love both of your channels!
Brianna reminds me of Carol Burnett. I just saw the rerun of the "Went with the wind" episode and was dying laughing. Same mannerisms, facial expressions and they even look alike! BTW, that's a compliment, Brianna!
It's also nice that her role on the channel has evolved past "being the only woman and making funny faces."
This is a display of pure creative genius on the part of everyone involved. I honestly thought that Briana or Glen would have to break from character to find a synergy between their perceived differences, but as always, the Whiskey Tribe cultivates lost arts, and you found synergy! This could be a new formula, to add to the others, for future episodes. Extremely well done!
How crazy is it that I just watched Glen’s Saturday video and this next??? Glen and Friends is a phenomenal cooking show. He makes cooking easy and approachable while encouraging you to not be scared of making mistakes and making recipes your own. Please, go check out Glen and Julie - the sweetest couple in the whole of UA-cam.
EDIT: OMG!!! My jaw dropped when you actually introduced Glen! My YT worlds colliding in such a great way. 😭
What an awesome collab! This just warms the cockles of my heart. Been watching Glen and Jules for years, so cool to see him in the tribe!
So cocaine or no cocaine?
"Bay leaf"
Bay leaf
That would explain some behavior
They've been "Bay leafed" since the channel started? They must have a crockpot running for lunch off camera.
Caffeine powder
Glen and Julie are awesome.. already on my list.
Using the uncarbonated Coca-Cola syrup is one of the better ways to help with nausea. My dad owned a pharmacy and he used to sell small bottles of the syrup.
I grew up (born 1961) with my parents using Coca-Cola syrup as our household remedy for nausea. Sometimes local pharmacies stocked it in medicine bottles.
I used it a lot less after being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, though.
BEST COLLAB!!!! Glen's awesome! Fun to see 2 of my fave channels working together!
Been watching glenandfriends for years. Awesome to see him show up on other channels from time to time.
Wait what?!? Glen has two of my favourite UA-cam channels! So awesome to see this crossover with another of my favourites. This was excellent 👌
Oh how I have missed this episode format. Glad you are shuffling through some different formats, but holding true to some classics.
You need to make this! Barrel age it. Then maybe finish it in a barrel that had Coke in it ?
Totally understand no citric acid in wash, as it would have made the pH crash, but maybe some could have gone into the low wines (prorated for the lower volume)?
I'm with other folks in the comments -- oak it & come back 6-12 months with another crossover episode!
I never in my wildest dreams expected to see a WT and Glen crossover episode.
I love this collab.
This was an awesome cross-over. Next time they have to do the full recipe!
I would've used citric acid. Yeah, it's not the greatest for yeast, but it largely won't cause major issues if you don't use too much, and bringing down the pH to around 4.76 (pK2), won't be an issue. Citric acids mechanism of action for "preservation" is that it is a metal ion chelator, so it can bind up those metal ions that the yeast requires as co-enzyme factors (a compound required for the enzyme to function), and so those enzymes don't work. It won't "kill" the yeast though, like a lot of other preservatives do. The biggest issue with citric acid is that it largely limits the growth of new yeast, so if you do use citric acid as your acidulant, and you aren't distilling a grain, than just overpitch your yeast by 10-20%.
The bigger issue, imo, was a lack of assimilable nitrogen, which is why the fart smell was present. Yeast produces most of its own amino acids, including lots of precursor compounds, and while it is doing that, if it runs out of resources, it will dump some of those precursors out of the cell because they can damage it internally. Cysteine and Methionine pathways generate hydrogen sulfide, because they are sulfur based amino acids, and if there isn't enough nitrogen (most common reason), or some other resource, it will dump that H2S out of the cell, and you get that fart/rotten-egg smell. It's an indicator of a lack of nitrogen, but also an indicator that not all the sugars were fermented, as nitrogen is also required to use those sugars. Throw in some DAP/MAP, yeast extract, or boiled dead yeast.
Love this collaboration! Big fan of both channels.
Never expected Glen on Whiskey Tribe, but looking back it makes way more sense given his homebrew series
Amazing in everyway. Feel compelled to try this myself.
Love both channels.
This is the crossover I never knew I needed.
Love Glen and his channel. First time watching your channel. Looks like a lot of fun!
Vanilla Wind, the all-white-boy funk ska band from the early 90s.
This is the first video of yours I've seen and I love the energy this is great.
I love that my kids could join me on the patio before our day at Epcot and learn about chemistry!
Amazing collab! Been fans of both your channels for a long time
I started watching Glen a few years ago, either when he was doing the Coke thing, or the original KFC journey. Gotta love his commitment to the craft.
I. Love. That you also watch Glen and Friends!
luv to see this in LCBO stores here in Ontario 🥃 yum
I really hope y'all make a run of this for sale. I don't drink, but I mix for my friends and this would be awesome to experiment with
2 of my favorite channels come together?! Yes please!
Glen is one of my alltime favorites here on youtube. So cool to see you collaborate.
Can't wait to try this at home!
loving all these recent videos
Sounds like Glen flew a cesna 172. They are most certainly the Honda civic with wings
Oh my God (I know I’m supposed to be watching the cola drink) the Giant diffuser as the backdrop with the soft light behind it… Chef’s Kiss. Fantastic❤
Another interesting distillation and entertaining episode!
The collaboration we didn’t know we needed!
Oh man crazy I watch both of you love it.
The cheers worthy episodes were really wonderful, but wow did I miss *this*. Thank you.
So...instead of Rum 'n Coke, Rum FROM Coke?
Then mix it with coke
3:15 real sugar instead of High fructose corn syrup
Coca still in plant form should not be illegal once it has been chemically altered then it is illegal
I would have never expected this collab. What a pleasant surprise.
Ya'll should distill Nyquill. Since it already has alcohol in it!!!
Dont blame Canada for his healthy eating! As a Candian, i have definitely eaten piles of little debbies and more other types of pre packaged snacks then I can remeber.
In fact, I'm going to go eat one right now.
I continue to love Brianna's Louise Belcher energy, and I mean that in the most positive way I can
Wow! I didn't know you were going to have Glen on! When I saw the thumbnail I wondered if he was the one who inspired this. I was right! You'll have to do this again.
I love when content creators I like come together.
Glad to see the tribe thriving after whiskey mom and dad's "divorce." Keep up the good work. 👍
😂
What happened?
@@CedricBassman Very long story short, due to tax and regulatory issues they had to put some daylight between Crowded Barrel and Wizard Academy. Look a few months back on this channel for the really long video.
I love glen! This collab was a great surprise!
Was waiting for the montage of Rex sprinting out the side door to fetch Daniel;)
Glen and Glencairn, a natural.
not a collab I would every have predicted, but much appreciated
Well this is something I would live to try!
Love us some Glen and Friends ☺️
"There's a little bit of durian in there", like that is a good thing. LOL
I think they mentioned Pablo Escobar and “Bay leaf”, quote on quote. And they censored it out plus the chopped up “bay leaf” and joked about snorting it kinda gives something away, without incriminating themselves. And the fact that the guy flew himself there getting passed and tsa agents kinda points everything in that direction. But if a tree falls in the woods does it make a sound? 😂😂😂😂 nice one guys.
What makes up flavours and smells are something called esters.
Esters exists naturally in what ever you eat and drink and you can create them by mixing different kind of alcohol with different kind of acidic compounds.
With this said i aint surprised that the flavour changes with different ABVs.
Nice to see Glen somewhere else than in his kitchen or in his Cessna.
I have seen that 1886 Coca Cola video and i really recommend you all to see it.
Glen and Whiskey Tribe, two worlds collide!
Yay, Glen is here, so happy
Now try doing something similar with the Nuka-Cola recipe from the Fallout Official Cook Book and try making a Nuka-Cola Dark (Cola and Rum)
Am i the only one that wishes this episode was a little longer
Love your work
Now we got to distill different sodas!!!
I've been waiting to see this one!
Fantastic. This was great
I ended up ordering a FUM to help me quit vaping. The FUM worked amazingly and I liked it so much I got other essential oil inhalers.
Seems slightly counter intuitive to an extent but more power to ya. Hope all is well and ya feel healthier in the lungs region. Still on the squares ma'self
@@peacock6804 It is slightly counter intuitive yes, but I liked the idea of FUM and other essential oil inhalers, so I thought I'd give them a try. I also have an issue where I love smoking. I've tried quitting smoking multiple times even using every Nicorette product while still smoking. I used to smoke 1.5 cartons on the low end up to 2.5 cartons a week on the high end, so 15 packs up to 25 packs of cigarettes a week until I started using a vape then I was vaping 30mg and stronger nicotine fluid. I still technically consider myself a smoker as I still want a smoke everyday and occasionally might treat myself to a few puffs of a cigarette or a cigar. While using the essential oil inhalers I haven't had a vape since February 27th and no nicotine at all since February 28th. It's getting close to being 2 months without a vape and any nicotine.
@@CryptoDabber710 Dang, congrats. Im a pack a day or a little more if ive been drinking. I wanna stop but im assuming for me as the same for you the action is more than half of it. Ive always been one of those people to quote Ricky Bobby "I dont know what to do with my hands". Props on getting off the nicotine. A question? Do you inhale or just pull to get the taste and movement? I just hope we can all drop the handheld inhalents and save ourselves a few bucks, cause im assuming if you inhale it still aint good for the lungs but none the less better for you than most things. Like i said congrats and peace, love, and health to you.
@@peacock6804 Thank you, and yeah I totally understand that Ricky Bobby quote, I've always felt the same. I will still inhale but I also have a few different inhalers. I have the FUM Journey Pack with the Complete Core Bundle, An essential oil inhaler Starter Kit from a company on Etsy called Oil and Bark which also came with a 15ml dropper bottle of a Black Pepper and Peppermint, I also have a breathing and meditation thing that I got before getting the FUM which I use as my third essential oil inhaler. But to answer your question more about if I inhale the essential oil air from the inhaler. The answer is yes but there's times I might not. I think it really depends on what essential oil is in the inhaler along with other factors like stress or anything else.
@@CryptoDabber710 for sure there are many factors at play as for anything, you are very introspective. I may give it a try at some point but for now thank you for this conversation. Peace love and health to you. I Hope all your future endeavors benefit you and life rolls on smooth.
GLEN!!!!! I love when my channels do collaborations! Love @GlenAndFriendsCooking #GlenAndFriendsCooking !
Whiskey Tribe + How To Drink on the next collab.
Two favorite in one.
And now i want a jack and coke
That would be an amazing thing to bottle.
I keep waiting for Brianna to say "oh ya dontcha know". LOL
Man I wish her and my wife could meet, you two are the perfect complimenting flavors of spaz and quirkyness.
For your clear container during ferment, would it make more sense (if your goal was to know how its doing in a closed container) to add your yeast to a single big batch then suck out whatever you want for the clear container? Otherwise your yeast to liquid ratio is not going to be the same between barrels.
5:45 - Has he... ever drunk Bailey's from a shoe?
For the record, we *have* packaged desserts in Canada ... it's just that given Glen's baking abilities, he's apparently never wanted to try one 😆
I would love to have a coke with coke!
Yes GLEN IS AMAZING!
That was wildly entertaining.
Shame Jules didn't come along with Glenn, I'm certain she would have enjoyed the testing every bit as much.
What does the microplastics add from the overtly aggressive paint mixer beating the crap out of the side of the bucket? Is that part of the recipe?
This is one of my favorite episodes.
Im pretty sure coca cola had a certain ingredient in 1886.
How can someone from Toronto be a master in a drink from Atlanta, Ga?
Hooray! I've been waiting for another "Will It" episode.
This needs to be a semi-regular series.
You also need to do Glen's real root beer recipe, and have him back for that one, as well.
Okay, but you did this, and you did Luxardo cherry. The only next logical step is both for a cherry Cola. Bonus: you can get an A/B comparison on distilling them together vs separately and making a blend.
No 'Bolivian Marching Powder' in the mix?
How soon can I come up the south and get some of that cut twelve from y'all.
@1:26 Do you want ants? Because this is how you get ants
Welcome friends
Ok - make this! Blend it well, sell it at 120 proof!
