Impressive. I recently did a historic renovation project. The home owners both have a PHD in engineering. They think making windows is easy. They also think making a new window look identical to the old historic window is basic carpentry. I couldn't do what you do in a million years and there are very few people in this world who can. You have my respect. I am a professional painter and it is an honor to pant skilled work such as yours. As for the project I was working on, I walked off. My reason, the Phds' had no respect for people like you. Keep up the beautiful work.
My father was a master carpenter . I wish he could have taught me..Im 53 (female) and I enjoy doing small DIY projects around the house..if only ..he's passed on years ago...but UA-cam vids helps.😄
Been looking for a video on how to make windows. Stumble upon you, and you and I have basically the same shop. That's a Hammer C3 31 for sure, and I'm pretty sure your using a Hammer band saw. I showed my wife and said since we are so similar I get to buy that awesome drill with the digital depth gauge. :)
Thank you very much for the quality of your work.I will be very grateful to you and grateful for your help to buy the same clamps. You are a true master of your craft.Good luck to you.
Nice workshop and kit. Terminology for window components :- For sides read jambs. For top and bottom read head and sill. For middle piece read mullion. In 50 years in the trade never seen a window made where the head and cill are tenoned into the jambs should be the other way around. Standard practice. Quality standards and code dictate for exterior window joinery that all joints should be glued with waterproof glue. If you do not glue your sash joints also these joints will fail and the window will not last long at all.
From a very long time i was looking for something like this but today i watch your video, this is excatly i was looking for!!! Thanks for uploading such a beautiful work.🙏
"Hey honey, I'm going to buy $50K in woodworking equipment so I can make $3,000 worth of windows in order to "save" money. If only we all had a Felder.
I’m really happy with the c331, although I don’t have anything to compare with. I have FB510 bandsaw from Felder and I guess it’s a little more sturdy than hammer line. All accessories and spare parts are more expensive for Felder which might be something to consider. But if I could afford it I would go with Felder 😀
Yeah I might some day, it's a Hammer C3 31 combination from Felder. If you search on UA-cam, I think you will find one or two good reviews on this machine
Sun and rain on the one hand, and a warm apartment on the other. After a year, there won't be a single right angle. Glulam is better for windows and doors than solid wood.
@@tanzer2410 Ok, The width is about 100 cm and height is about 140 cm. And you also have the post in the middle which is also about 140 cm. Outside edge measurements on the frame.
hes using a felder hammer c3 31, costs £8,000. it is a high-end hobby level machine. there are much cheaper machines on the market, or you could even do it with hand tools
@@LPdeltaT Maybe you should make a video showing how this project could be done without these tools. A “capable” guy could drive a nail with a rock. It’s a lot easier with a hammer.
Hi, thanks for your feedback. This video was not meant to a educational video, just more of an inspirational type of video, hence there is not comment. I will certainly think of this next time.
I can't imagine taking a wood working class at a local college only to get there and the teacher doesn't say a word. Just plays music while the class tries to figure out what he's doing.
I guess that depends on what you comparing with. But I’m planning on using this for a long time, so I prefer to invest in quality. Thanks for your comment
@@WoodshopBygatan yes, that was rather a comment to myself , I am planning to buy some machines, to be able to make some woodwork. I understand if you are running a company that you wanna have good stuff. For me as private person I have other demands.
If you are interested in how I make the windows the these frames you will find the "window video" here ua-cam.com/video/Zb5a6DJb6Es/v-deo.html
Hi
Is it possible to get a sketch from the frame and window Profil ?

those felder machines are a beauty. same with the windows, great job

Bit of a surprise to see a Bosch hobbyist drillpress after using the other highly professional tools in that shop. But nice work there !
Amazing video, keep up the good work :)
All I have is a table saw and some hand planes, need another video, thanks
Nice! Bravo!

Why screw the frames together? Why not draw bore and use pegs?
That’s Amazing Craftsmanship,
Nice work 👍
Thanks!
Very good job go forward and my best wishes 👍
Beautifully made window frames! ❤

Exactly! Except when I bought the combination machine, I payed about 5k. But in general, that’s my persuasion technique when getting new tools 😀
wonderful sharing,,
love from pak hunza
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing. Respekt from Poland
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the idea. I will probably try it
Cool for an old house. Not for new ones. 3x Glas. 44mm-48mm thikness.
Thanks, yes of course, this is not up to “today’s standards”. Our house is from 1910, and in the winter we have extra indoor sashes
Pretty smooth man, good job.
Glad you like it!
Nice work sir
Thank you very much!
Poetry in motion... at least for me.
Not everyone has 10k worth of tools and machinery if we did we probably wouldn't be watching this
Really nice video. You are doing a great job.
Thank you
I ll also b building for my house in few months time
Where are you brother
I want learn how to build those frames
Do you glue it too or do you only use screws?
Only screws, makes it easier to renovate in the future.
Очень красиво! Информативное видео! 🙂👍🏻
Nice 👌
Thanks!
They just don’t make them like they use to great job.
Nice video - how do you like your Hammer C3? I already have a A3 31 and deciding whether is it worth it to go to Felder KF500 or Hammer B3.

How many people have machinery lying around like that
Woodworking is my biggest interest so I have invested a lot in this. But you don’t need these expensive machines, you can get away with hand tools.
Excellent
Oh cool. As soon as i grab 100k worth of equipment i can watch this video. See ya
Why did you choose fir?
Hej, använder du stam eller sidobrädor?
Kärnvirke.. i alla fall kärnvirke utåt i karmen
Wooden house windows look prettier than aluminum ones I think.
I couldn’t agree more
how did you weatherstrip these?
I just wanted to see how you installed the glass and you didn’t show it :(
Nice thanks
Great video. Would you use a festool domino to make windows also?
Thanks, don’t think I would use the domino for the sashes, expect for maybe the muntins/bars, were I’ve used the domino to joint a three way bar joint
@@WoodshopBygatan old ways are the best sometimes. You're an incredible carpenter.

What is this rig cleaner shape or Tablesaw all in one I want one I need one where do I get

How many timber did you make the crates?
I started carpentry as a hobby. I'll be glad if you write down the measurements.
Hi, I'm sorry but I don't understand your question
@@WoodshopBygatan Hi
I wonder how many cm of lumber you use
@@tanzer2410 Ok, The width is about 100 cm and height is about 140 cm. And you also have the post in the middle which is also about 140 cm. Outside edge measurements on the frame.

This appears to me to be a how to video, not how to buy cheap equipment
If you not capable on finding away to make these using the tools you have then maybe do not attempt... This hobby involves problem solving....
@@LPdeltaT Maybe you should make a video showing how this project could be done without these tools. A “capable” guy could drive a nail with a rock. It’s a lot easier with a hammer.

The width is 99 cm and height is 139 cm. Outside edge measurements on the fram.

Hi. When I bought it, it was around 7000 euro (Здравствуй. Когда я купил его, это было около 7000 евро.)
The cuts are not showed clearly. Not understandable.

Yes, still doable with only hand tools fort example, but some steps will go faster with machine
I can't imagine taking a wood working class at a local college only to get there and the teacher doesn't say a word. Just plays music while the class tries to figure out what he's doing.
Think of it as an artistic performance. You don’t go to the ballet to learn how to dance, do you ?
WOW, I just watched a guy push wood through machines (for 6 minutes) and learned nothing about how or why.
Those machines don´t exactly look cheap.
