Thank you so much Mei. I started using the facebook shop but not yet for transactions. The terms and conditions however doesn't fit my business. We sell handmade craft jewellery and the 30 day return policy doesn't apply to our business but I cant seem to override it.
You can, but I wouldn't suggest doing it that way. While Facebook is a useful platform, you want to have control over the place you make sales from, and I always suggest you have your own site.

A business page for sure. This gives you a more professional look, and people beyond your friends list will be able to see your posts, plus you can run ads and get insights.
You can add the link to your Facebook page to your website, you Instagram, you marketing materials, etc. You can also join groups to share your business.
Hi Mei, Thank you so much for sharing. I'm literally binge watching your videos these days :) So I created my FB page last night after seeing this video. Then I linked it to my Insta account and started sharing my Insta posts. However after sharing some posts, FB stopped reflecting any new shares. On Insta it shows that share was successful but I don't see them on FB. What am I missing? :( I also tried logging off and ON, delinking and linking the acts etc...but not working. Is it something you have seen before?
Yes, unfortunately it can be glitchy sometimes and your Facebook share won't show up, so then you do it again and suddenly it's there 4 times. Hopefully this is just a temporary issue with this.
When you select a category does that mean you will be ranked within that category. I can under 2. But I want to select the one where I have best opportunity to be at the top of one’s search
Hi Mary, that's a great question. I would imagine it does help you rank better if only because if you choose the less "perfect" category for your page, that it might attract the wrong people... for example it would not be accurate to categorize Creative Hive as a local business to Los Angeles, as people coming to my page would expect a storefront when I don't have one. That would give them a negative experience and doesn't help you or Facebook.

You may want to try inviting friends to like your page. When they do this, it will sometimes show up in their news feeds, so then other people see it. If you have other platforms like Instagram or Twitter you can also put the link to your Facebook page there to send people over.
The shop now button doesn't work for me, it changes to get sales and when I click it, it's just trying to get me to buy to promote 😭 am I doing something wrong or does anyone else get this too?
Christ I just want to sell stuff on facebook. Don't want websites etc. Don't want a business account as I only make a few things here and there. Why aren't things made easier for a technophobe. I'm more confused than ever...

No, you can't. If you want to use Facebook's ecommerce platform, you have to accept their refunds policy.

You would enter the ones that pertain to your business, since that where your followers would be contacting you.
I tried to create a business account but it keeps saying I don't have the option to do that right now, what does that mean?

It looks like your business page template must be set to "Shopping" for you to enable the Shop Now button. Looks like it's a relatively recent change.
