  • Welcome to our new series where we will start to do the "BEST" versions of the classic Takeaway dishes, to be fair most takeaway would never do it the way we would, mainly to do so would add more man hours than you could make back in profit. We hope you enjoy these and try them for yourself! Of course this is just our recipe and the point is to use what a takeaway would use but we hope to give you little added extras you can add to make it that bit more special.

My local takeaway used to do the most amazing satay sauce but he moved back to Hong Kong with his family. I haven't been able to find another takeaway doing the same sauce, though some are fairly close, but after trying and loving your fried rice recipe, I bought a jar of Jimmy's on Amazon and tried this too using the hot mayflower curry powder and your velveted chicken, and it was absolutely spot on. Never expected to find genuine authentic takeaway recipes on UA-cam, but this was perfect. The whole family absolutely loved it. Cheers!

    • @ZiangsFoodWorkshop

Over the last 18 months it probably because Jimmy is in such short supply, there is a waiting list from wholesalers so there trying to make it last. If that was me I'd take it off the menu, but as most takeaway owners aren't actually chefs they don't know that's an option

Uuuuummm the book is not the best versions, this video is the best, NO takeaway will make it like this ever, the book is for how a standard takeaway will make them, so the recipe isn't incomplete as its not the same recipe. We couldn't of been any clearer about that, it's even on the listing of the book on our webstore. it's written in the front extract of the book too. As stated there will.be another book with the best recipes in as many people just want to replicate the food at home and aren't interested in version that they won't find, after all, that every channel apart from ours

And for anyone else reading this as I feel putting here was churlish and should of been done via private email. I've sold 8000 copies and this is the 1st time someone hasn't understood that the book doesn't have the best versions in, yes the 1st time in 2 years,, also there are 3 or 4 versions of each recipe, which we cover on vids but not in the book, as you could imagine that would Cost a fortune to produce

If only they explained at the start of the video that it was of “best versions” … oh wait 🤷🏻‍♂️
