Stair Pressurization Fans Shutdown

Stair Pressurization is provided to allow building occupants to safely evacuate a building using the stair cases. Fans are provided to supply air into the staircase upon activation of an associated alarm condition. The idea is to pressurize the stairs so no smoke can enter.

i would put a fan guard over the intake part so the birds...etc wont get suck in it while it's running

@Fire Alarm Certification i've seen these in hotels with atriums and stairs. some are wall mounted and ceiling mounted. are these also being required in newly built homes too?
