This is a shorter clip taken from a tour of the Mersey tunnel • Mersey Tunnel Tour 2022. this is just the fan that supplies the Queensway tunnel with fresh air.
Driven through the Mersey Tunnel many times and often thought about the infrastructure behind the scenes. I missed the chance of a guided tour years ago, and always regretted it. Thanks for the video, Cheers!
BIG VENT GUY!!!! I, from Ukraine, dream of visiting such a place! I love mechanical fans! At the Farmak Plant, where I installed Internet LAN connection systems somewhere in the period of 2005-2006, I saw ventilators more than 2 meters long (there is an exhaust system installed for filtering medical drugs! )
I do too, if I'm in a small room and there is like an old vent fan or something it literally makes me anxious. I'm cool with normal cooling fans (no pun intended) but anything like this or some of the others you see around fill me with anxiety and yet I don't know why....
Lol i like the fans. There is a lot of urban exploring in my country so i often get so see abandoned fan systems as this and i think its rly fascinating.
@@seriouscat2231 Did you watch the video to the end? I'm a retired engineer, not a retard. It _IS_ still accelerating when the video cuts off. It is NOT done accelerating. Open your eyes before you open your mouth.
This is the tour it was taken from. not sure it gets to the speed requested because we had to move on but it may have a bit more on it. ua-cam.com/video/FX9GRVb8I1c/v-deo.html

Cool
When was all this constructed?
They started mid 20s and it opened 1934. Same day as Walton hall park was also opened both by the King
The motor is 6600 Volts ac three phase
50 Hz? Or 49.9999 Hz? Depending on time of day ...
Is this a blower or fan, it looks odd
It brings in air through the ventilation shaft and pumps it in to the tunnel
@@veryhighguy ok
What is that supposed to be for😅❓
Its the ventilation fan for the Queens way tunnel ( Old Mersey Tunnel ) it drags in air and pumps it in to the tunnel.
@@veryhighguy Ok thanks 👍

Ich war auf der Suche nach Schiffspropellern. Aber auch interessant hier
