This does work. I advise those who are really struggling to remove themselves from their addiction to work on stepping away from their comfort zone for at least a week when adapting new habits. As in no matter what you do there's no access to your addiction for that period of time. For me it was taking a holiday. I came back 10 times stronger and have been doing beneficial things that I love myself for. Self discipline is very difficult when you won't remove yourself from your comfort zone. I used this strategy to overcome video game addiction and it worked very well. But I didn't know it for this approach, but rather for exchanging one obsession for another, that is, motivation.
Hey man you are an outstanding person. There are a very few people who think about society first then even themselves. Unfortunately people doesn't look for their improvement they think they are the best and that's the worst thing about them.
I watched the video recognizing my smartphone addiction, and now I feel like I can break free from it. It's a really great video, and I'm grateful that you created content that can help me. Thank you. I hope this meets your requirements. If you need any further assistance, feel free to ask!
3 Steps 1. Find the root, there is always a psychological reason for any addiction. As long as you cannot identify the reason and work on it you are easily fragile to get another addiction
2. Find a solution and plan a strategy, write it down. I have a friend who never watched porn, unlike me, I am addicted but even though we are pretty similar I am not doing enough with real girls. Thats the simple reason I try unconscious to replace my sexual desires with virtual girls and masturbation.
3. Find the cause of the problem, so the circle cannot happen again. For example i had some negative experiences with girls at the beginning when I was young so I gave it up to try it again and do. improve!! Hope you could learn something

These videos are amazing! I downloaded them and converted them to mp3 files and listen to them on the go and whenever I feel the urge and it's worked well so far!
I’ve been wanting to work on a project for years now, a channel to do storytelling on. Every time I get motivated I end up getting distracted and quit, the motivation gone in an instant. I’ve tried to quit my addiction as well, as I’ve heard that such addictions destroy your happiness and mental health. I don’t even enjoy the addiction, yet it is a daily habit now. Today… I want to start a journey to kill two birds with one stone. Thanks for the inspiration.
What I do is, just not do the thing I'm addicted to, but just keeping in mind that I can just do it whenever I want to. So basically procrastinating the addiction.
I know you hear this all the time but your content is amazing and has really helped me overcome a lot of challenges just by listen to your videos. Thank you this has not only improved the way I communicate I’ve also been able to change some habits I’ve been trying to change for years this work works these principles will change your life. Thank u
This course seems very genuine in its purpose to help people, and to those who find it effective- keep at it, because it’s working!! However, the underlying principles and strategies appear to be based on anecdotal observations rather than evidence based research. This means that the program may work for a particular subset of people with similar underlying problems and similar motivational abilities. However, like almost every program promising success, it will likely not be effective for a large portion of people who attempt it. My point is that if this particular program isn’t successful for you, it’s only that the program didn’t fit your needs, and is not a reflection or prediction of your ability to achieve your goals.
your tamed course helped me a lot, you have shown me the way to be fit, actively reading and no fap, I now actively train my willpower everyday and life feels great, I could feel a flow of mysterious energy flooding inside me, you changed my life. thank you so much.

I'm addicted to my phone and it's hard to go hours without it anymore. I have like 1 close friend that I can only really talk to on my phone because we're long distance. Being lonely is terrifying because I get into parasocial relationships so easily. I'm trying to stop all this and make myself happier, wish me luck
Thank you so much for doing this. I only recently discovered the channel and the course, and since I'm starting with my first year of university, I seriously need to get my habits straight. My field is extremely demanding and I don't think I'll survive if I don't change. Social media, games.. it's so much crap, and I wanna get rid of it. I've saved up some cash over the summer, and I really want to donate some to this channel when I feel more at home here. Thank you again! The internet is a wonder.
Im definitely addicted to a lot of stuff. I was an ex Student athlete with an injury that im about to finally take off after a year and a half. The recovery is another year, but I wanna start changing now. I've gained almost 50lb Depressed and on anti-depressants on drugs that I need to definitely quit. I've tried cutting my self off, Ive stopped smoking but every time I lose a habit, I replace it with another. It's always some sort of stimulant, from porn to drugs to smoking. Hella stuff. Im hoping the antidepressants and the surgery improve my mood and motivation. I want to play college again, be drug-free and lost all this weight. I've tried many times and failed every time. Today was my Day 3 sober but I went back again. For some reasson, im motivated the most when im on drugs(like right now) I found ur video and I will watch it all. Im gonna make a blog to write down my journey and hopefully get better.
I'm 17 years old. For the past 6 years, I have been struggling with a pornography addiction. Time and again, I have promised myself I would finally get over my addiction, but it's become so ingrained in my brain and my life that I break my promise to myself each and every time. I recognize this issue and the problems it has caused. I know what triggers it. I want to get over it. I've tried many different things to get over this addiction, with varying degress of success, but I fall short each time. I want to quit, but I don't know how. Maybe this course will finally be the thing that pushes me the rest of the way toward quitting. Maybe it'll be different this time. But, then again, that's what I've told myself for years.
I'm glad to see that on this video you added the last bit on patreon, I've been meaning to be one but wouldn't get around to it.This gave me the reminder to, I'd suggest you do it in all your videos, I think you'd have many more if you did. Anyways, keep up the great work.

I received this video way better than any other one of these types of videos out there. Straight to the point with a crystal clear message.
Thank you very much for releasing this course for free. I hope the patreons can support you enough. Thanks to you and them peoole like me who can't afford this course can use it and improve their lives.
I hope your channel grows and this course gets shared so more people can apply this great knowledge in their lives.
Dude you're a saint for putting this stuff up. I'll be a Patron as soon as it's possible for me.
I feel as if I’m constantly overstimulated myself in various ways. P0rn, pot, my phone. Like today my phone died and I felt like I couldn’t enjoy my experience. This made me realize how many habits I truly have. Wish me luck 🤝
Am I the only one who is watching this after 7 years?🙄
No
No
No man 😊
Naah
This was an awesome introduction! Thank you for taking on this extremely prevalent topic and offering sound advice! Looking forward to your next few videos!
I just started the series, looks great thanks! Side note : riding a bike is a skill not a habit, a habit would be riding your bike if anxious or bored for example.
So actually I started on January 5
I decided to quit pornography as well as masturbation
It's been more than 2.5 months now and I can happily claim that I have overcomed these bad habits

Whenever I see an improvement pill, I take it.. thanks
Put habits lower than Yourself.
Habits are for You not You for habits.
I learned how if you ever get the urge to smoke put a little salt on the tip of your tongue and the habit should slow down and eventually stop
Thank you
I love salt i dont smoke
Thanks
Before I even start watching these videos I want to say I hope everyone takes the incentive to take all these upcoming videos seriously especially since ImprovementPill has been generous enough to put them out for free just for us.
This channel is gold💯
Why is it not viral
The rule is basic: motivation is what gets you started. habit is what keeps you going.
I'm so glad you gave the videos out for free. Nice quality
I quit smoking cold turkey. Thanks to a day tracker and a bunch of friends to hold me accountable. day 55 at the time this comment was posted
Thank you for the free knowledge you provided Improvement Pill.
Is that Eric Thomas?
3 Steps
3 years later but this helped me , thanks. How are you doing? You alive?

What's the addiction?
@@CompaGuitarra I’m ashamed to say, but corn.
Thank you so much for doing this. I have a substance issue that seems impossible to quit but making today my day one, I feel like I can do it.
Thank you and I'm grateful to find your channel. This was a great stepping stone.
What I do is, just not do the thing I'm addicted to, but just keeping in mind that I can just do it whenever I want to. So basically procrastinating the addiction.
thank you for all your hard work Pill, i know many people will appreciate your efforts
My point is that if this particular program isn’t successful for you, it’s only that the program didn’t fit your needs, and is not a reflection or prediction of your ability to achieve your goals.
well i'm a medical student and i'm on the edge of giving up ..... i wish this could build my self-steam and that i start believing my self

Finally somebody’s talking!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
thank you for making this GOLD!!
Im definitely addicted to a lot of stuff. I was an ex Student athlete with an injury that im about to finally take off after a year and a half. The recovery is another year, but I wanna start changing now.
I've gained almost 50lb
Depressed and on anti-depressants
on drugs that I need to definitely quit.
But, then again, that's what I've told myself for years.
have hope and faith in you we all can do it
How have you been so far? O hope you have found a way to quit those bad habits
Nofap day 1 again
Hoping to break. My old 18 days record 😎😎😎 wish me luck guys

I'm glad to see that on this video you added the last bit on patreon, I've been meaning to be one but wouldn't get around to it.This gave me the reminder to, I'd suggest you do it in all your videos, I think you'd have many more if you did. Anyways, keep up the great work.

How ironic I'm watching how to overcome UA-cam addiction on UA-cam.
"In the forge of my will, I temper the steel of resolve; for every moment lived in discipline, a future of freedom is earned. My past and present selves unite in the battle against the chains of addiction, forging a path toward the mastery of my craft and the acquisition of wisdom. Let this mantra be the anvil upon which I hammer out my destiny: Should I falter, let the weight of consequence drive me back to the forge, where strength is born from the fire of perseverance"
Here trying to quit playing beat saber for a few months✌️ Can only imagine how hard it would be to quit a real addiction, hang in there guys
