PSA: This game is EXTREMELY difficult, but stick with it! Eventually you’ll get ships and upgrades that make the game a bit easier.
I loved Wipeout games so much when I played them. This game looks absolutely sick and I definitely want to see more of it.
Don't expect a Wipeout. There are no weapons, no air brakes (instead strafing), the tracks are much longer and there are none of the game modes you'd be expecting from Wipeout that play around with zones. The game's focus is purely on speed and track memorization as each location, besides three tracks, also have an extra-long boss track which is an amalgamation of all three.
I don't know if it's true, but Redout is more to compare with F-Zero, while your only choice for a Wipeout outside of the actual franchise will be BallisticNG: retro-styled but highly customizeable through mods, so much it can play like an entirely different game.
It isn't like F-Zero either. Different physics and handling (at least compared to GX).
Whoever was behind this game could teach other devs a lesson or two on sense of speed
No thanks to the blur effect that turns the screen into a homogenuous mush of visual noise. FZ-GX didn't have that and the sense of speed was just fine.

There's a racing game in the works that essentially has rocket league's flying mechanics (look up rocket league rings map. Lethamyr. You'll understand very quickly) I forget its name but it was shown off on the otk game expo a little bit ago and it looks great

I had a tonnn of trouble with this game, I consider myself kind of a driving game enthusiast and usually have no problems. But this is definitely a different kind of racing game and it’s tough to get used to. Later game is honestly way easier once you get better ships and stuff

fantastic game, incredible looking, mind melting speed, egregious and sometimes incredible annoying AI rubber-banding, and the funniest track hazards ever.
hazards include: ice, magma, low visibility, singularity

There's actually no rubberbanding, the AI is actually that good
@@davidzadro2939yeah no when I'm 2.5km ahead after 2 laps and all of a sudden I'm getting passed in the last lap with no crashing it's definitely rubber banding
@@TKOfromJohn skill issue, I honestly never had these issues, even on nightmare difficulty

Good list! Another good one is BallisticNG. It also has a decent comp scene, heavy modding scene for both tracks and ships, and tons of content to playthrough. Highly recommend
