11:06 fun fact, the yamato's guns fired shells that weighed 3200+ and just under 3000 pounds, if you divide the rough weight of the yamato's shell by its caliber, you get how many pounds per mm of gun size, convert up, and your yamato's guns would fire shells weighing just under 14,000 pounds each, or just under 7 tons each.
That's incorrect tho because the surface inside a circle grows squared to the of radius (A= π*r^2 = π*(d/2)^2 = π/4*d^2). If you keep the shell length the same and assume its cylindrical then the weight would be about 19 times heavier... (2000mm/460mm)^2= 18.9... actual shell weight would be around 3000 pounds *18.9 = 56700 pounds or about 28350kg! Think of a cylinder and it's volume given by π*radius^2 * length :)

The Yamato went beyond what many Americans see as a sizeable battleship due to the fact that the US navy required their ships to fit within the Panama canal. As a Lathrix viewer, some tips: 1. Internal dediblades are great for artificially producing buoyancy, and for providing roll & pitch stability. By using them, you can remove the air pumps in your Yamato design. 2. Have you actually never heard of bulkheads? Your Yamato is one giant Titanic just waiting to happen. Also it should massively reduce the lag from your air pumps. 3. Shaped frag head missiles, cluster cluster bombs that launch magnetic mines, laser munition defenses, surge protect your AI cores. 4. Do the UNSC Infinity thing: have your Yamato launch a small fleet of cruisers :D 5. B U L K H E A D S 6. Smoke. Defenses. 7. Seriously, use bulkheads. 8. Maybe, uhhh... add submarine defenses? I'm so happy the cursed algorithm decided to add you to my list. This alone made me sub.
I remember boarding all of the enemy's drones, carefully destroy the ai, and replace it with my own. So I didn't have to design drones to watch over areas. I somehow did this with one of those floating laser satellites too. Many modifications later that thing could one-shot anything
This video was so good it made me open the inventory by pressing E.
I think it would be interesting to have a modern day pirate game. Taking on container ships with speedboats would be really cool.
Amazon deals with this everyday

Change my mind
The Yamato went beyond what many Americans see as a sizeable battleship due to the fact that the US navy required their ships to fit within the Panama canal.
This is why the Yamato was seen as monstrously huge by many American engineers, authors, and soldiers.
Obviously we know today that Aircraft Carriers were the future of Naval combat, but battleships will always hold a place in our hearts.
Sseths multiple personalities are getting out of control.
Just kidding, not to attribute your talent to someone elses format, just that videos like this are both the reason I haven't hung myself and why i learned arabic so i can be racist but nobody can call me on it because i speak arabic.
Edit: what a fuckin review m8 piddle me teabags and call me nan a crumpet ur gon b famouse
Dude I love sseth dw
@@martincitopants Some of his personalities don't hate eachother?
Shit must be nuts on mushrooms man
@@bicyclehorsethesixth5562 fun fact: 3 of of Sseth's personalities have collaborated
The tutorials should be revamped, the first time i played ftd i wanted to blow my brains out everytime i heard *TO OPEN THE INVENTORY PRESS E*

This is my favourite video of yours. I've rewatched it more times than I can even count. Which is not very high but its at least the number that comes after 3
Ok, I am fully aware you're apeing Sseth here...
But you know what? It works!
Speedboat: *Shoots single shot through armour*
Big yamato: *Self destructs*
12:30 you should never have only one airpump on a large ship, always make many rooms, all with their own airpumps
that and you really need to stack armour, you want at least 5 layers on something this big, if not more
marshrover V yes, i would put about 10 layers of armour on a ship like that, i think he didnt add any because of time and lag reasons
@@marshroverv5632 and good armoring like a good use of wood, metal and airgaps.
@@thegamingcat3202 that is unnecessary
the ship is already almost 80,000 blocks I'm surprised his pc can run at all with the ship loaded in as is much less with hundreds of rooms and 5 layers of armor
Ah yes, i remember when the Somali pirates stole a Yamato with lasers and railguns. That was a fun time. lol
Also holy shit my man needs more subs this shit is fucking great
typical Somali tuesday
came back to this after seeing your new from the depths vid
I've seen the big Yamato on the workshop before watching this video. Now I know who's the madlad who did that
Hearing the motherload theme from 2:00 onward came me some phat nostalgia thanks boio
Respect for looking up how to say "Yamato" instead of just going with the traditional American way of : y'MAAAA-toe.

The first minute is so hilariously chaotic, yet so arguably accurate.

watching old mart content is funny because he sounds and does things like someone with 2 hours of sleep
This guy is new to From the Depths and already figured out the meta of "Bigger is better, and since I'm the biggest I must be the bestest" and the "I deciced to build [INSERT HISTORICAL SHIP HERE] with some of my own modifications ;)"
What about bigger numbers?
Damn, been playing this game for the past 4 years and loved it. I thought everyone forgot about it, happy to see it get the attention it deserves.
I stopped playing this game for like a year, and there was so much new shit that it was like mega rocket science written in Arabic, written by Helen Keller
Spoon that is why one doesn't stop playing else you have to re climb the cliff
This man says it's the greatest Somali pirate simulator to exist like he hasn't played homeworld.
10:05 Musashi just looking sad in the background as her sister get’s all the attention.
Thx for doing a review on this legendary albeit difficult game, and HOLY shit the Robbaz ref really surpirsed me.
This is the best From the Depths tutorial I've ever seen.
As a Lathrix viewer, some tips:
4. Do the UNSC Infinity thing: have your Yamato launch a small fleet of cruisers :D
5. B U L K H E A D S
6. Smoke. Defenses.
7. Seriously, use bulkheads.
8. Maybe, uhhh... add submarine defenses?
Please play this again. Check out the Lathland UA-cam channel, Lathrix is an absurdly good designer and he has a similar appreciation for the stupidly powerful.
