Fibrinolysis is the process of breaking down the clot (the fibrin meshwork) into water-soluble fragments (fibrin degradation products or FDPs).
Fibrinolysis (thrombolysis) is one of the steps of hemostasis (or to be precise, it occurs after hemostasis to dissolve the blood clot and restore the normal blood flow).
Hemostasis consists of primary hemostasis (platelet plug), and secondary hemostasis (coagulation cascade forming a fibrin thrombus).

You don't know how excited I get when I search a topic and your illustrations come up. I am currently a CLS trainee and your videos are so much help, thank you!!
You’re very welcome 😊
For CLS, check out my “hematology/oncology” playlist, and my “bleeding and Coagulation” playlist!
Thank you 😊
The excellency of your lectures is in the quick review of the previous topic , secondly your correct and exact information , thirdly you make the lecture colourfull with your talks and sense of humor , which is appreciated.
Thank you so much!
Others probably don't like it but I really appreciate the recap. Repetition is the key 👌🏻 This is really helpful, you explained it very clearly that I can say I probably understood the topic much more better than when I was still in school haha!
-hi to my fellow med lab scientists!
I appreciate you too, Rozette!
Hi 👋☺️
I'm soooo interested in all of your videos, you have a knack for keeping my attention for a long time, really.
You keep saving me these days, everything just began to make sense about hematology. thanks man
Awesome 👏
if you were my professor, you would be the ONLY reason why i still go to school
I appreciate you so much!
I am so anxious for this topic since I am bringing it tomorrow, but I laughed and enjoying your explanation. Thank you!
Thank you 🙏

Glad I could help!
YOU are a genius!!! love your channel
Welcome to the channel 😊
Thank you so much for your kind words!
I really like the sarcasm and dark humour in this. I am bloody excited about fibrinolysis after watching this. Honestly made me laugh a bunch in this video. The fact that it's such a long joke is what made it fricken hilarious at 2am while studying. You better "bloody" care about fibrinolysis or it will kill you.. I spat my water out. :D Love these videos. SUBSCRIBED
Thank you ☺️

First travel clip looks like the i-40 somewhere in New Mexico. The second one looks like the small piece of Arizona on the i-15 between Nevada and Utah. And the third one looks like the windmills in Palm Spring, California.
.. I could be completely wrong tho

Please make an animation video on clot retraction.
thank you very much for existing T_T
Maybe someone here could help me. I am naturally prone to be slow to clot. I have a long history of anemia. I have been tested for a lot of things but no answers. I also respond rapidly to any diet change or medication. My skin and eyes are extremely dry. However when I consume foods that up my vitamin E and my Cod Liver Oil supplements I return to heavy periods and become anemic. I want to eat foods that help clotting. Any suggestions that are safe? I’m not interested in medications on this topic thank you.
Keep up the good work 👏🏻❤️
Thank you so much 😊
I have an exam tomorrow about this and all the pathologies hembiologie

Wow 🤩
Can I use warfarin to dissolve blood clots?
Warfarin PREVENTS new blood clots from forming, it doesn't dissolve current blood clots.
