    Your videos are very informative and thorough. Well Done!!! Question? I am trying to replace an S5 Rack of IP246 Positioning modules,
    I want to use an S7-1500 -1PN with TM2 Posinput modules and analog output modules (Drive Analog Setpoints) to control positioning axes with an SSI encoder feedback. Would that be the most efficient way to go?

      If you migrate your system from S5->STEP7->TIA Portal, then you could use the way you wrote. using TM+SSI encoder and analog out can build up a position closed loop control in S7-1500 and basically your migrated program will have a very minimum change. Another way is that using a servo motor and servo drive and using the 2nd encoder channel from the servo drive (e.g. S120 DRIVE-CLiQ module) for measuring your load side position feedback. Is this application come from Iron and Steel RH air O2 gun application?

      @@electricalautomation No We are using it for automatic Size format change in the medical film industry. The IP246 module already has most criteria defined I imagine I can use things like incremental speed, software limits, Forward and Reverse Accel /Decel, etc. I am trying to upgrade incrementally so I am thinking of using FDL(open Comm) to communicate between the S5-135U and S7-1500 to transfer target values and other data.

    Isnt tia portal basic enough for s7 1200 plcs with servo drive? For 1 axis robots for example. Great videos btw

      Yes, S7-1214 or higher can support 4 axis (single axis) control. You can use stepper motors or Siemens SINAMICS S210 servo motor as drive.

      @@electricalautomation Is it not possible for example with 1211C DC/DC/DC + V90 + Siemens Servo? If not how could we make it happen? Maybe with ET200? Thanks for the answer

    • @electricalautomation
      @electricalautomation  3 роки тому +1

      @@tznalcn Yes, it is possible. V90 is a good choice. some area cannot sale or buy SINAMIC V90. If you can buy V90, it is cost effective servo system, it also support profinet with s7-1200.

      @@electricalautomation Hey thanks for the information. By the way as I said before great videos. If you are looking for a topic for videos, TIA Selection Tool examples for motion control would be a great choice! Have a nice day!

    ich habe Siemens S120 , power module 27A,600vdc, and Double motor Module 600 vdc , 3Ac 400v 3A:
    is it suitable to connect with motor 400vac , 6,7A ?

    Hello can you share about alarm trigger and handling in siemens s7 300 cpus. If thats okay for you. Thanks

    • @electricalautomation
      @electricalautomation  4 роки тому

      Hello, do you mean using Siemens HMI to show the alarm, and the PLC is S7-300? It would be coming month but not recent. I am working on the motion control and communication series these months. Thanks for watching!

      @@electricalautomation not really in the HMI because i am not that yet but the logic i made in DBs can be use in HMI for future use. I only focus on the logic i made a logic for alarm trigger using bools and the problem is i want to make a reset that is in MOVE because i cannot afford to use so TONS of Reset Bit. Using 300 cpu. The idea is splicing the word command into bit in 300 its not possible.anyhow i love watching your videos its more advance

    • @electricalautomation

      I roughly see what you talked about. From my programming style, using the bits from a word from individual alarm, then compare this "word=0" for alarm summary.
