  • In this video I show you how to create a natural hair conditioner that you can make in your kitchen. I also show you how I create an avocado pre-poo that helps to soften your hair before you apply the natural conditioner.
You will need an egg, oil and a fresh lemon. The beauty of this recipe is that you can use ANY oil you have on hand in your kitchen. I used soy bean oil.
You have to add the oil SLOWLY or it won't come out like mine.
This recipe will soften natural black hair. It also helps to soften other hair types and add shine.
This recipe is a good natural relaxer that won't damage your hair.

...The purpose of this video is to show an alternative to using harsh, cancer causing chemicals to relax hair textures, NOT to:
-disrespect each other as African Queens
-Name call like we are gradeschoolers
-Make fun of the contribution to saving black hair from falling out, as this video is
    or other negative things.
If this technique doesnt work for you, that's okay, dont use it. However, as a woman who makes handcrafted products I can suggest to give nature derived treatments a try. Why not?
I mean whats more harmful... putting chemicals that literally can BURN your skin and hair OUT OF YOUR HEAD, or slapping an avocado in it (?)
    Peace and Light, Queens 👑🌹

Well said! it's a sad shame that we as African-American women bash one another throwing shade and being straight damn evil, when we already have to endure being the world's most hated race. I'm gonna continue praying/lifting us up until the day I die, because it seems to be generational curse among our race. I hate that we don't stick together. Didn't mean to use profanity, but it's beyond sad and irritating as heck.

    Pre-poo treatment:
    1 overripe avocado
2-3 Tbls of your favorite oil e.g coconut, avocado, olive oil etc.
Mix together to form a soft paste, can use blender. Apply to hair in sections. Leave in for 45 minutes to 2 hours. Rinse off and shampoo hair with sulfate free shampoo. Suggestion: Dr. Brown's castile soap shampoo
    Second treatment:
    1 egg yolk
    1 tspn lemon juice
    1 cup soy bean/vegetable oil
-Separate egg white from egg yolk in a bowl. Use the egg yolk part.
    - Add lemon juice to yolk, mix. Then using a whisk, gradually add 1Tbls veg oil into the egg yolk mix. Whisk till you get a mayonnaise consistency.
    - Section the hair and apply mayo/emulsión, coating from root to tip, and massaging hair with fingertips.
-Leave treatment in hair for 1 hour. Wash out with warm water and shampoo hair. Rinse.
-Blow dry hair with medium heat. Hair should feel soft and manageable!

For those wondering why there is noise in the background...it's because I was homeless and living with different family members.
I was very depressed during this time. Natural hair remedies kept my spirits lifted. I left a toxic relationship and lost EVERYTHING. I stopped recording videos because life got tough. I nearly went blind, too. But God had a plan for me. I'm no longer homeless and I run a 6 figure business. I will create more hair care videos soon. Thank you for the support. I just wanted to let you know that I am very inspired by your testimony, and your life journey, and despite me being very late to the game, I am now a new subscriber. I can’t wait to see what other wonderful things you’ve accomplished since this video, and even though I don’t know you, I just want you to know that I’m proud of you sis. 😊

I am back to let you know I have been applying this cocktail to my very dry curly hair. It turns out straight and so silky after I style it, and it doesn't break anymore. I actually prepare it in my small blender so the avocado mixture is really creamy (I use double the ingredients as I have long hair). My cousin is caucasian, she has naturally straight hair and she has been using it as well. Her long hair turned out soooo shiny and silky, her husband cannot stop touching it! This is great for all kinds of hair. I was tired of applying chemicals to my hair to relax it, not to mention spending money on expensive hair products that do nothing at the end, except for emptying my wallet. Thanks a million, girl, YOU ARE THE BEST!

I tried this yesterday on my 4b/4c textured hair. I left each product on about two hours as I went about my daily business here at home. I made a couple of adjustments in the avocado recipe but kept it all natural. I also used a blender instead of a fork. The finished product was very light, smooth and creamy and easily washed out of my hair. I followed up with a leave in conditioner and let my hair air dry. It definitely stretched my curls, got rid of the frizz and gave my hair a nice sheen. My hair is also very soft and silky feeling. I'm going to do this treatment about twice a month and see how it goes over the changing seasons. Thanks again for your video.

In this day so much is going on, doesn’t make since making others richer and you poorer. I’m all for supporting our on so don’t get me wrong, talking about others. It’s something about going in your kitchen and being creative, I think that’s something that has been lost in community. Please continue to inspire us. Much love! Peace!

Thank You so nice of you to share! I have raised 5 respectable daughters! I cant believe the lack of respect...people have nothing better to do than be mean and stupid at the same time!!! It's the way of the world isnt it and some people get sucked into it! Do what you do and DELETE ALL USELESSNESS! Remember some people cant live practical lives because instead of really listening they pay attention to Mayhem and MEANINGLESS DISTRACTIONS!!! Amen. People are just hiding behind a screen being nasty in their attitude. If they do not agree they can keep moving, and even if they will exercise their right to disagree, there is a right and wrong way about it. So much for self respect, because self respecting people don't disrespect others.

I have woolyish hair like my dad, but also very wavy like my mom. I did this pre-poo, baking soda wash, and a homemade conditioner ( egg yolk, baby oil, and plain yogurt). I brushed my hair immediately after towel drying while hair was damp, and I can already tell a difference. I love being able to try these different remedies without the worry of harsh chemicals. I don't think I will ever use store bought shampoos or conditioners again. :)

how many of you have a nice head of hair? let me see your hand. A lot of you are rude making rude comments. a lot of us needs this treatment. black hair is completely different from other races. many if us black women go bald and experience scalp disease. if we were cooking up these and other recipes like this out hair would be fabulous. yes her hair needs trimming but if you look at the woman's hair from the video. her hair is now whiney and it does look a lot healthier than before. with regular treatment her hair WILL improve more. research the ingredients they are all good for the hair. be optimistic people. it does work

I love this!! I use the prepoo recipe just as a hair mask on my 3c curls once a month and it’s never looked better. The conditioner I use once a week and I barely use as much regular shampoo and conditioner as I used to because my hair always looks so healthy and shiny! I don’t know if it works as a perm relaxer because I’ve never had a perm but it works so well in keeping my hair healthy! Lots of love from Australia! I hope you keep making videos of your recipes!

I'm not sure how reliable the relaxing part of the hair is but the egg and vegetable oil and lemon juice is definitely a good way to condition your hair and moisturize. I thought this was very informative I'm sure over time it's got to be very good for your hair. I would love to see this done on someone's hair that is completely natural without the straight ends. I think that would give more accuracy on how well it does relaxing the curl pattern and if it actually works completely with natural hair, particularly on a coarse texture.... thanks for sharing

The avocado pre-poo works so well with my hair I have regained manageability of my hair. No relaxer or anything but with the help of the pre-poo and 100% pure right from the can coconut milk I am now in love with my hair again. I was even able to get a short cut now almost 2weeks old still looking like I got a relaxer. My hair is soft, shiny, no breakage/less shedding and definitely way more manageable. I have really thick coarse hair if it worked for me it has to work for others with hair like mines 😊

I don't see anything sad about this only thing that's sad is people who don't have faith and don't believe in things that Inspire them when they're at their lowest to put people down about getting inspired when they're going down so we should be encouraging to one another not putting each other down.

also if you use the egg white , olive oil and tiny amount of vinegar , mix well, apply to your face with a soft brush , avoid the eyes it makes your skin so soft and helps remove fine lines on the skin , i leave mine on for about an hour, it tinkles and as it drys you feel the face mask pull on the skin . always test an area before use. i use this about twice a week, always throw the mixture you have not used away

Handmade mayonnaise. My mother use to make mayo and we'd not only eat it but use it also for our hair. The egg white can be used as a facial mask to minimize your pores and treat acne. The lemon juice can be used to " bleach" your skin or minimize " age" spots. 😊

I should think that for a type 4 natural person one would have to leave the avocado pre-poo on longer maybe 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Also depending on the size of ones hair strands, the straightening effect could be immediate or take time as in need multiple applications. Anyway the ingredients are all very good for the hair. Also instead of using plain vegetable oil you could possibly use a penetrating oil like olive oil or coconut oil or even an herb-infused oil. If you try this, I'd like to know your results.

Yes! I tried it. I put a mashed avocado, 4 tbsp grapeseed oil and 1 egg yolk in my dry, crispy brittle hair. I covered it with a plastic cap and left it on for 45 minutes. I didn't want to do the condition cause I was watching tv with hubby. I shampooed with Suave keratin shampoo & then the Suave keratin conditioner (1st time for all three). My hair air dried while watching tv then I two-strand flat twisted my hair before bed, 2 on sides & 3 in back, bantu knotted them and put a satin cap on. My hair is still soft, manageable and amazingly cute with my twist out. I know it's mainly because of the avocado, grapeseed oil & egg yolk. It relaxed my tight curl pattern. My hair was elongated without blow drying or flat ironing. I am so happy with my hair now, the fustration is gone 😊 Thanks Shalenadiva! ❤

Sandy = Mayo. Better than industrial mayo coz it doesn't have sugar. Excellent not only for hair but as food as well!!!!

I use Coconut milk that’s sits in the fridge to make a cream to deep conditioner and relax my curls I also use volcanic ash and over time I believe you see your true curl pattern most people don’t see their pattern because their hair is always dry

    Hello Shalenadiva,
My niece has extremely thick, coarse hair. Should I use this treatment on her hair? Should I double the treatment?
I love the way you are committed to God! At the end of this day, that's all that matters!
Thank you so much for your time and effort to make it difference!
    God Bless you!
    Beej

A natural relaxer for your stomach is cinnamon. It has stopped me and my family from vomiting many times.

Thank you ,this avocado work's great . My grandmother used the very ripe avocados in her hair. My mom told me she had gorgeous head of hair . I use mayo in mine a sleep with a plastic cap and bag on my head . It works ! You did a great job on your neighbors hair ,her hair was nice and smoothe. Definitely shiny ,I'm sure her scalp was feeling the love as well, lol. Thanks again :)

Great job you did....your homemade method's on point (used myself)...however...hair is at its' weakest breaking point when damp and/or wet! You don't "rake" it with a brush...you section it off to blow dry...just as you did in applying your product...especially using a plastic bristle brush! Natural or animal bristle is just as inexpensive if you look. Your outcome worked just great...and thank you! I sincerely wish you the best on your journey towards better times! Thanks much!

I have No clue as to what my hair is. 4c, 4a? It is kinky straight on the
Top, wavy on the sides, and very
Curly from the mid top to bottom.
Will it work on my confused, combative hair?

    • @1ppriiincess
      @1ppriiincess 6 років тому

Francine Richardson it’s probably heat damage. When our hair gets heat damage, the curl pattern changes. Use Aztec Clay(powder) and make an hair mask from it. It’ll restore your curl pattern. There’s tutorials for it on UA-cam.
