I completely understand relaxing it.. it can be so time consuming and tiring doing our natural hair, and half the time it won’t even come out the way you want it to. I’ve contemplated it so many times
Thank you. Yes, it being so time consuming with ultimately my reason for relaxing it. I love natural hair and will probably go back to it at some point but right now I'm enjoying the quick mornings of get ready :)
Been binge watching ‘relaxed hair’ vids and maintenance tips. I’m so excited to be relaxing my 4C hair after 11 years of struggling with it. 🙄😅. And Your hair looks lovely 😘❤️
@cinnamonstar808 so does eating meat...also having sex can give you stds...organic food aint really organic..we can go all day....like life is full of risks. You pick and choose your battles.
Put towel on your neck. Put vaseline or grease on your edges and ears. Soak a t-shirt in warm water incase relaxed goes on your skin. Rub it with the t-shirt soaked in warm water. Use a neutralising shampoo if using a lye relaxer that doesn't include it in the box. Lovely video and hair😊
That came out really cute! I am getting over the natural hair also. It's summer and this humidity is a beast! If you want curls you can always do a twist out.
ay yi yi! it's gorgeous, and it looks like you really do have the best of both worlds. it's still thick, and you can make it sleek if you want. i think your results are really what black women are looking for with a relaxer (texturizer). kudos to you, and thanks for sharing!
I'm definitely feeling like I have the best of both worlds right now. I'm having so much fun trying out some of the sleek styles that were a little more difficult to do before. thank you so much for watching!
This really helps me sis … I was told that I shouldn’t relax my hair or recommend for me to relax long hair my hair about shoulder length or a little pass my shoulder, I been natural for about 11 + years now and I’ve been thinking about relaxing it now!
If I ever go back to relaxers, I would definitely texlax. It seems to me that my relaxed hair grows better than my natural hair. I'm going to try heat stretching before I use the chemicals. I don't want bone straight hair.
Love your accent! I’m from Virginia originally and currently live in Portland Oregon and rarely hear southern accents anymore. This vid was very soothing! ❤
Hi there, your video was promoted on my channel. The way I see it, I believe more black women will go back to relaxers. I like my natural hair, but my life will be busy in a couple of months. So I'm contemplating to relax my hair after 22 years. Your hair is beautiful 🥰
Thank you! 🥹❤️ yes! I was so shocked to run into her. I miss you and hope you’re doing well too! You know y’all have always been my favorites. Sending love 💕
For this relaxer your plan needed to have been one half then wash out and then complete. Just because of the time needed to get the product completely on there. 6-8 weeks you can do a corrective relaxer. I saw you needed to mix at least two kits though you have so much hair. You did good. Hair looks good.

It is a permanent change. You can do touch ups to the roots as they grow in every 6-8 weeks. The only way to have the natural hair back is to not do the touch ups and allow your natural hair to grow back out or to cut off all of the hair that has already been chemically altered. :)

If you’re already experiencing breakage, I would not recommend relaxing. When your hair sheds, if it sheds in full length strands then you have healthy shedding. If when shedding, you’re getting a lot of small, short pieces that don’t typically match up to the full length of your hair, then you know you’re experiencing breakage from unhealthy strands.
