    I completely understand relaxing it.. it can be so time consuming and tiring doing our natural hair, and half the time it won’t even come out the way you want it to. I’ve contemplated it so many times

      Thank you. Yes, it being so time consuming with ultimately my reason for relaxing it. I love natural hair and will probably go back to it at some point but right now I'm enjoying the quick mornings of get ready :)

    Put towel on your neck. Put vaseline or grease on your edges and ears. Soak a t-shirt in warm water incase relaxed goes on your skin. Rub it with the t-shirt soaked in warm water. Use a neutralising shampoo if using a lye relaxer that doesn't include it in the box. Lovely video and hair😊

    In order to prevent the burns and stings to the skin you have to avoid scratching the day before and the day of the application of the relaxer.

    If I ever go back to relaxers, I would definitely texlax. It seems to me that my relaxed hair grows better than my natural hair. I'm going to try heat stretching before I use the chemicals. I don't want bone straight hair.

    For this relaxer your plan needed to have been one half then wash out and then complete. Just because of the time needed to get the product completely on there. 6-8 weeks you can do a corrective relaxer. I saw you needed to mix at least two kits though you have so much hair. You did good. Hair looks good.

    I knew it was time for me to get a relaxer when I realized that even the curls on my 3C3B wigs didn't stay lol. Those curls would last literally for about 30 minutes after you put product on it and then they would swell up And these are wigs natural hair wigs by the way but still a wig with a looser curl pattern and I will still having problems with it The hair was still swelling up I had to comb it out it was shedding. On a wig!! So I knew it was time to just get a relaxer because you can't do much with curls I don't care what your curl pattern is it can be 3C or 4C they still have to be treated in moisturized all day everyday for it to look nice.

    I just relaxed my hair in April. ONLY BECAUSE MY HEALTH. my blood is @ level 2. Last year I almost passed out because of wigs and heat. I HATE WHEN PEOPLE JUDGE ME OR OTHER PEOPLE! Or FKN ASK!!
    My hair is chin length and thick. I even used two boxes, next time I getting 3. ( I’m trying to be cheap ) I did have allergic reaction & Chemical burn on my ears (Only because I’m allergic to Perms and everything)
    For all the Negativity: I don’t believe it’s a Cruelty Free & Vegan Free Perm 🤣 Ki$$ My A$$
    Yeah for thick roots get the Super relaxer. But you’re fine because it depends on your scalp and of course personal preference .
    I have sensitive scalp so really I don’t suppose to be getting perms 🤣 YOLO AND IM THINKING ABOUT CUTTING IT WHILE IM RELAXED. ( Oooo a Pixi cut with long side part bang 😩🥺❤️❤️See now you got me started and acting crazy. • @QuonnaLeshae
      @QuonnaLeshae  Рік тому

      It is a permanent change. You can do touch ups to the roots as they grow in every 6-8 weeks. The only way to have the natural hair back is to not do the touch ups and allow your natural hair to grow back out or to cut off all of the hair that has already been chemically altered. :)

    How do I know if my hair is healthy enough to relax ?

    • @QuonnaLeshae
      @QuonnaLeshae  Рік тому +1

      If you’re already experiencing breakage, I would not recommend relaxing. When your hair sheds, if it sheds in full length strands then you have healthy shedding. If when shedding, you’re getting a lot of small, short pieces that don’t typically match up to the full length of your hair, then you know you’re experiencing breakage from unhealthy strands. That would be one of the main factors I’d consider when deciding.

    Not trying to be a natural hair Karen lmfaoooooo. But we know for a FACT that women who put relaxers in their hair are at higher risk of uterine cancer…. It’ll just be interesting to have this discussion as black women. We know based on literal science that relaxers aren’t just a beauty trend to help with hair we’re not conditioned and/or happy with managing. Just curious of your opinion. 💕

    Oils weigh your hair down !! I never use oils in my hair especially after washing
