    You should get izing glass to enclose your cockpit. That way you won’t have to be exposed to the elements when you are at the helm and eating etc. they can even make you a totally enclosed zipper type enclosure so when it’s warm out you can unzip it and roll it up and basically have a convertible top

    Life jackets are a must! The water is cold, anytime you are on deck underway you guys should be wearing a life jacket. just a suggestion.

    Great start. That was a lot of fish to rely on grip strength alone not to lose the gaff and the fish. It is prudent to get in the habit of using the fiddles on the stove all the time. It is just too easy for something to slide off the stove top. Say you dropped a spatula and jammed the gimbal just for a second and whoosh.......

    • @sailingposttime
      @sailingposttime  11 місяців тому

      Stay turned haha…I’ll figure out the stove eventually on the trip lol 🙃

    It was not a tuna, It was a mahi mahi, otherwise known as a dorado, or a dolphin fish.

    That is not a Tuna but a Dorado.

    BTW that was an ahi and would be best as sushi- very expensive sushi. Cooking it is almost a travesty sadly…but a nice catch so thank Neptune!

    >> U spoiled a really great moment when the whales got close enough, what were U afraid of,? Why would U think they would be harmful? At the most important time in a humans life while they are trying to communicate with us. At least enjoy their company.

    Going to Hawaii from the mainland is not crossing the Pacific Ocean, to do that you must go to New Zealand about 11,000 miles, you went 2500

    • @OptionsRealty
      @OptionsRealty 11 місяців тому

      Their charts must show the Pacific ending at Hawaii.
