this person has helped me save my own life, there is something in her teachings for everyone. Bless her
I love love love Pema. She is amazing. I'm a Christian and I do not see any conflict with my faith and Buddhism. What she is talking about here reminds me of a Proverb's 27 quote, "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." I listen to Pema all the time, she is simply the best !!!
My teacher was a student of hers - I'm so glad to see these videos on you tube!!
...seeing the value of what 'these people' are showing me about myself - I needed the reminder of that today when feeling so sorry for myself because I suffered a 'great injustice' with no opportunity for redress or justification. I 'chewed on it' for the whole day... thank you Pema
this woman has saved my life. She's my true teacher.
so true
its like when I am in a large group, I now know to pay attention to the person I find most distasteful, that I want to avoid the most, cause I now know the thing I don't like seeing in them is likely the same thing I am avoiding facing inside of me
love Pema, love how she shares her wisdom with such good humor, she is so cool in so many ways
Pema as always words of wisdom from a beautiful woman inside and out, always an inspiration to me.
Thank you, dear Pema Chodron, for this. I'm a teacher going through an episode of having to deal with a terribly annoying and ungrateful student, and this short message came at the right time to remind me that this student is in fact one of my best teachers. The awareness of this episode being a lesson is there, but the detachment from the ego is a tall order. Anyway, thank you, Teacher Pema. 🍑🍑🍑
Pema, thanks a lot!, I am so grateful I encountered you.:)
Its like she is pinpointing exactly what I am experiencing...its amazing...thank you for sharing this!!
Thank you, Pema...Mindfulness is wonderful!
Thuk tu che Pema. Your cds helped me on the path to Buddhism. I wish you good health (I know you're happy!!!)

I loved the video and shared it @ makeitabetterplaceforus.
Thanks,
Manuel Filipe Santos.
i need more pema... love it
I watch this video and 6 things arise in me:
1) how to escape from pain in the body?
I get cramps that debilitate and paralyze me.
what to do?
is there a metaphysical explanation?
2) I love someone
who I don't believe loves me back...
this, sadly, has been the story of my entire life.
the pain is so awful, it's soul-crushing.
3) rage. I have so much fucking rage in me.
I am constantly flooded with memories that rape me,
and fill me with rage.
4) grief: 999 trillion layers of grief in me.
there's no escape.
5) sometimes I look in the mirror and I am in love with what I see.
other times, I am disgusted.
I am old, ugly, fat, frumpty-dumpty.
6) I am so very very very ashamed at the state of my life...
thank you, at last I understand the words and actions of my first Tibetan teacher, Phakchok Rinpoche, sometimes it seemed that he asked a kind of questions in a kind of situations that would make me feel so stupid as I only can
@AlaskanSky: I just came across quotes from her and that book called my attention greatly. I look forward to read it. Her simple wisdom makes my heart sing =)
love her! what a great teacher!
I love this! Helped me!
Nothing could be closer to the truth! I love it pema!
awesome video
great teacher!
Awesome!
In Carlos Castaneda's teachings, the Petty Tyrant teaches us to be Warriors.
She is my aunt :) and her birthday is the same is mine.
yay does that mean naughtiness is enlightened behaviour? YAY!
pema is an amazing human being. scratch that - i think she may be an angel. and she speaks so directly and accessibly that its almost odd - that she is draped in mink's robes, she could be a sister or friend. that is her magic.
Dive into it, Pema....
A lot of people find me obnoxious, so if anybody wants to pay me to be around them as a spiritual teacher I'd be glad to hear from them.
As a foot note most 'spiritual' people I've met are incredibly superficial about their beliefs. The only exception to that was a buddhist nun I met a few years ago - nearly everybody else seemed to be remarkably selfish. I've spoken my piece.
Thats what friends are for:)
I have been "moving a lawn" for most of my life, lol. It's how I choose to garden, I think the moles made me do it! ;)
haha nicely said. Anyone interested I would recommend Gyobutsuji Zen Monastery in America. Great teacher and deep Zen practice.
It seems I pay Mrs A to be here too (o:
Bless
She´s so ggod! Her teacher was Chogyam Trungpa.
likewise here she's brilliant
that's a good one, thanks
🙏
subtitulos??
That's even more of a motivation to maintain their approach!..haha..I'd rather face an army in an enlightened rather than an unenlightened state! That'll at least take the torture out of the torture!...lol
Pema rocks.
guess we're not truly enlightened until put to the test...
😅🥰💜🙏✨
Although one may become realized how can they be sure they will maintain their approach say lie when an army invades their cave?
The job of your friends is to insult you. Wow, I have the BESTEST friends !! LOL
Pema you is lookin good and soudin - Meat and potatoes at it's best!
Love Ya, Dorje Raltri (aka) Hans Maack
🙏🙏🙏🤍🤍🤍🙏🙏🙏
There is no greater spiritual crime or testament of ignorance of the divine than to imply one be in need of instruction or in need of healing.
cute
So I feel so grateful and happy that my wife is so irritating... :)
That turns the things the other way around...
:)
If you aren't enlightened how can you know what it is - ofcourse i'm assuming you aren't.
I disagree. Enlightenment, liberation, egolessness can be attained in isolation.
He paid for what Lakotas refer to as a heyoka.
how come she has hair, other buddhist nuns bald. I prefer her hair
hair is a choice
Maybe she got cold.
lol wrong direction.
This troubled angst does not deserve to be recognized as a viable alternative. 30 minutes of negligible behavior = a giant stupid life lesson in torture. Great? Not!
is there oneness? if so, then no individuals. therefore no thinker, no doer.
no chicken has ever laid an egg but chickens lay eggs all day long. wei wu wei.
his books? its a woman
Sorry but I don't see the point of that at all - Gurdjieff seems to waste people's time pointlessly.
