    The Ecrins are just stupid beautiful. I can't wait to hike this stage one day. Also, the choir pianist/singer in me couldn't help but smile when your choir girl was showing

      @@LaurenRoerick I spent a week doing day trips around the east side of the ecrins already, and this summer I through hiked for a week around the Mont Thabor (end of stage 2), so it's a joy to see you fall in love with the bit of France that I've spent so many happy holidays in

    Great to have a few days of comfort and rest!
    That sounded like a lot of altitide meters...
    That refuge looked nice. Too bad that the other people didn't make you feel welcome!
    Good going!
    Have a great Sunday! Kaat

    Whole lot of beauty in this Stage. I’ll never understand people with attitudes like 6’5; jerk. Contrary to some “friendly” advice in these comments, don’t change a thing. Wind is a part of the game. Well done, Lauren.👏

      Thank you! Haha there’s no way around the wind really, it’s a windy trail!

    I bet your feet really enjoyed that cold stream! At the end, you should do a compilation video with all the highlights and none of the wind noise. LOL

    • @LaurenRoerick
      @LaurenRoerick  10 місяців тому +1

      Yeah it was necessary! And nothing to be done about the wind 🤷🏼‍♀️ just a windy trail

    Hey Lauren, I'm going to hike the Tour des Écrins in about 2 weeks and I'm planning to sleep at the Cabane de Jas Lacroix as well. Do you know if it's possible/allowed to camp (bivouac) there? Or around there.

    • @LaurenRoerick
      @LaurenRoerick  16 днів тому

      Hey! That’s so exciting :) you can usually bivouac just outside the refuges - they often have specific spaces allocated for it. Shouldn’t be a problem!

    Your videos from the Hexatrek are very good. In the the video sequences where your are talking and there is some wind noise and you have added background music, it can be difficult to hear what your are saying. I will sugest you don't add any bckground music to your videos in the sequences where you are talking.
