Oof, I've hiked that switchback section with the shale rock and I think I took three breaks going up 😂 absolute killer of an ascent. Ugh, but Parc des Écrins is so gorgeous, it's all worth it! ❤️
I hiked in the area of Les Ecrins, did a part of that tour. I remember some steep climbs as well... We even needed to attach ourselves at cables at a certain moment... But amazingly beautiful! I'm looking forward to the restof your journey! Greetz, Kaat
Nice job editing as usual. Lauren vs the vegans is funny. I’ve met so many vegans over the last couple years. Those climbs/descents looked brutal. And the storms would freak me out especially if you were somewhere really exposed to the wind & weather.
Beautiful!! Just had first snow here in Western North Carolina.BRP was closed Monday Oct. 16th. Have a great journey!!! Much love!!! I appreciate YOU!!!
Such an amazing hike in beautiful landscapes all the way.Looks like you had a great time in the beautiful outdoor. Hope to see more from your Channel soon. Have a wonderful weekend. Søren.
I've binged all the video's until here, it's quite the journey. I wonder how you really physically prepare for something like this. I'm completely wrecked after a day of hiking with gear for 10km and 1200m of elevation 🥲 So tips are welcome, you're doing great!
Thanks for watching! A lot of walking daily is a good start, then keeping your pack weight low makes a big difference as well. For recovery, I’ve found magnesium citrate makes a huge difference for my muscles.
@@LaurenRoerick Yeah I started walking in the evenings when I can now after work. I used to walk (extra) only in the weekends which clearly isn't enough. So I hope it helps for my next trip to the alps 😂 I've studied the route you're taking btw and in stage 3 you're passing where I went last August, Lac de la Muzelle. Wanted to go to Lauvitel as well but there was a storm coming so we went down. But alright, more walking it is. Since I'm already trying to scrape weight of my pack bit by bit by buying new lighter gear 👌😁
@@LaurenRoerick I see it now btw that you slept at Lac Lauvitel at the end of day 54, I completely missed itI see it now btw that you slept at Lac Lauvitel at the end of day 54, I completely missed it
@@LaurenRoerick Yeah I can imagine, it was my plan for the second night as well but since there was a massive storm coming we decided to go down. Glad that we did because the storm was really crazy, a bit like the storm I saw in one of your other videos
Nice vlog, nice places! That snow images works very well with my burning fire in the wood stove. :)
Thank you! Oooh that sounds very nice!
Wonderful

Thank you! I never got to eat a fondue in the alps because they only serve them for two people and I only found vegans to hike with 🤣🤣

@@LaurenRoerick Look forward to see more.
Great to remind the HexaTrek ! good job ! Damien (Le Pélerin Sourd)
Thank you!! This was a fun section :) nice to look back on
Great video. I think this has been my fave music mix. That little blue pool (sort of lake) was so cool.
Thanks! It’s a lot easier to edit indoors haha
Another awesome video, I wish it was possible to watch one of your videos in an Imax theater I bet it would be amazing. Stay safe and warm
Oh that would be so cool!!
Amazing trail..
I will make it my last Big Trail to do... 👊👊
It’s incredible!
The scenery looks amazing in this episode! Hiking looks hard.
It was! On both counts haha. Beautiful and challenging
Parts looked like Iceland or Patagonia. How cool...
Totally! I’m constantly surprised by this trail!
@20:32 glacier de Saint Sorlin ... !!!
Super ❤
😁
Are there a lot of river crossings on the Hexatrek?
Most of the larger ones have a bridge or large stones to walk across. These were some of the trickier ones
