Your energy and enthusiasm for all your projects is a joy to watch. I’m so happy when I get the notification you have a new video up. Can’t wait to see next months progress. Happy stitching 😊
You are a joy to watch, Sarah! ❤ Your stitching is beautiful and it is so much fun to see and hear about the variety of projects you are working on. Some of the stories you share about your stitchy shenanigans just crack me up and your excitement about cross stitch is truly infectious. Thank you for all the inspiration and enabling! This Common Threaded Stitcher weekend is going to be great! 🎉
Stick with the stocking. They are beautiful. I have stitches 4 and would do another in a heartbeat. The massive amount of colors is what makes them. Your SIL is right. I kept needed threaded for every color I would use in an area. Makes it so much easier then changing colors isn’t a hassle. You, your daughter l, and grandson will love it forever.
I’m working on one of my 40 WIPs right now as I watch! I can’t believe I’m actually still on track to finish 40 😱 I really thought I would have gone off the rails by now 😂
All your projects are beautiful but my favorite has got to be Kringles. Have loved it ever since I saw Dina of halfstitch cross stitch working on it - beautifully finished, by the way, on her last flosstube. Now, I’ll be following your progress on this - it really is a gorgeous pattern and I think owning that chart is probably inevitable.
Congrats on the finishes! That stocking looks like a beast! That is why I only do Bucilla Kit stockings... way faster than cross stitch. It will be beautiful when it is done though. I think whoever said to prethread a bunch of needles was on the right track! Working with pearl cotton is pretty easy. I have done it with some Bent Creek kits. It is basically like using DMC with a larger needle. I am sure you will master all of your challenges just like you did with that over one stitching. Enjoyed seeing all of your projects! 💜
I just stitched that Toys and Games Christmas Stocking for my grandson last year. I love it but if I stitched it again I would only use two threads in the areas with lots of half stitches; the flag, the checkers, the little Christmas tree, the Jack in the box. Yours stitches look very nice!
The Blackbird chart is pretty. Love that red! I was kitting up "Houseplants" from Owl Forest as I watched and I started it tonight so I can do owlforestfriday. I was also kitting up the Candy Skull Cat from the Halloween cross stitch mag. I just have to wait for the printed fabric to come in. I sure hope you get a break with your 14 hour workdays. That is so long. You are amazing!
Hey Christy!!! Yay for Houseplants- I hope you bring it to Stitchers one weekend so I can see it! Thank you for sharing your plans & congratulations on your beautiful finish this week!!! 🥰🎉
I have stitched 3 of those stockings and am on my 4th. they are a pain but worth the effort. I stitced the nursery, work room, north woods and currently working on the kitchen one.
I have Kringles started and I THINK I have finished the roof... But my plan is to treat it as a year long SAL next year and try to do one room a month. Maybe finish in September or October. That is a BIG piece. I have to laugh about the stocking. We will do anything for those grandbabies!
Keri that is a GOOD idea about Kringles- maybe we could try & do that together? Hmmm & YES….I’m figuring out already…anything for grand babies 😂 don’t show your daughter one of those stockings!!!! 🤪
Kim I am SO flustered! Hang in there with your HAED- I found that it just took me a bit to get into a rhythm that worked for me & I really enjoyed Teresa Little Stitchers full coverage tutorials here on UA-cam. 😊
You can do a loop start with odd numbers of strands (or even numbers of fancy floss). I have a tutorial on my channel. It’s been life-changing for my stitching! It’s on a playlist called My Tutorials.
You can do a front loop start with 3 strands. I just learnt how to do this recently and it’s been an absolute game changer! I followed the tutorial that @beckygotcraft did a little while ago (which is also hilarious 😂). Hope that helps!
Beautiful WIPS and progress as always Sarah! For your Christmas stocking, not being able to do a loop start is annoying, but you CAN do a loop start with three threads, just like you can with one thread. Check out this tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/a0YECjZ5Gxk/v-deo.html This is the method I use when stitching with one thread, with blends, or with two pieces of variegated thread. Works every time and should work just fine with 3 threads.
Your energy and enthusiasm for all your projects is a joy to watch. I’m so happy when I get the notification you have a new video up. Can’t wait to see next months progress. Happy stitching 😊
Thanks so much Lynsey!!! 😊

That blackbird design is gorgeous. I say go with the bolder blue option and make it pop.
Happy Stitching 🧵

Thank you Connie!!! YES…the stocking is an absolute beast…what a mess I have gotten myself into! Excited to try the perle cotton for sure!!! 😊🧵🪡

You are brave to work that stocking pattern.. I would be to flustered. I am having a hard enough time working on a HAED.
Kim I am SO flustered! Hang in there with your HAED- I found that it just took me a bit to get into a rhythm that worked for me & I really enjoyed Teresa Little Stitchers full coverage tutorials here on UA-cam. 😊
Part 2. Just heard you were doing 3 strands. I only used 2 for all strands. I suggest loosing the 3. You will love the difference
Good point!
I love your videos so much we want to collaborate with you!
Love your idea for the Courage SAL!! And that threadworx floss -oof! Hope you don't mind if I copy your idea?!?
Yay! Of course not! 😊
