Khan's voice was out of this world imo. I loved him so much in Kamelot and it's one of my biggest regret not having to see them live in this era when it come to band i didn't see live. Them and Arch Enemy when Angela was still there.
I don't think there's any need to have that argument personally, Roy and Tommy are both great in my opinion. Sometimes I like Tommy even a little bit more but hey that's just me.
The intro (same as the chorus) is written by a classical norwegian composer, Edvard Grieg. The song is called Solveig's song and the melodies used in the intro and chorus is in the second section of that part.
Oh, that's Roy singing, I've seen him twice on stage (and once with Tommy), they all were amazing, wonderful memories !!! I was longing to see a reaction with him, all I've seen are too recent... Thank you ! 🙏(Excuse my english, I'm french...)
Thanks guys for this. For there is no replacement for the mighty Roy Khan. The new singer that you occasionally watch with Camelot... Tommy he's an awesome singer but with his band Seventh Wonder... Roy has the most distinctive one-of-a-kind voice, super low to super high range, and one-of-a-kind vibrato and the Mystique stage presence that's unmatched
I've listened to Tommy in other things, mainly Ayreon songs, and man has the voice of an Angel. Legitimately, I feel that he has been given a gift that most people couldn't even get close to matching. Even then, he STILL doesn't measure up to Roy Khan's tenure with Kamelot. Now, there were also other changes to the band, but still. The feeling just isn't there. Roy Khan in Kamelot just brought this beauty, this feeling, and I felt barely anything when I heard new Kamelot. Granted, they've made more albums now and I really should give them another shot... but it's hard, man.
I make the exact same face as Suzy's when I hear this juicy intro Thomas does 🖤 And yeah, Casey is known as "the animal behind the drums", now you know why 😎
You need to listen to and react to Kamelot's One More Flag In The Ground, which is a metaphor for someone fighting disease. Each stage of recovery is another flag in the ground. OMG their new song Opus Of The Night is incredible. Tommy's little gasp at the end is so cool!!! Please post your reaction. I would like to know what you think.
As much as I love this version, and I think the Roy Khan era gets too little notice from reactors, this same song is on their 2020 live DVD with Tommy Karevik, and he not only includes the sing along part, but he introduces each member of the band. Watch out for the 20 second note near the end.
Casey Grillo is a beast on the drums. He’s no longer in Kamelot, but he’s now the drummer for Queensrÿche. He’s just awesome!
That slight brassy tone to Roy Khan's voice is everything. He just sounds so damn good. And the musical compositions, *chef's kiss*
Tommy is a great singer too, I just like Khans voice a tiny bit more. Both are phenomenal!
That's the difference between a trained vocalist and somebody who hasn't trained.

Roy Khan is arguably the best the singer they've had.
Tommy is an impeccable singer and this is 100% true.
Nothing to argue from my perspective, Khan's intensity sets him above other great singers.

No arguing. He is. Everyone else is wrong. He has been named the best singer in power metal, several times 🦆🥰
He's back with his original band, Conception. They have a few music videos out.

You've got to do the song ...."Elizabeth I,II,III " from that show....pleeeeeeze
Hey, congrats on 100k subs!
fun fact: the keyboardist is the husband of Simone Simons from Epica
who herself has sung on a few songs as a feature on Kamelot
e.g. the song The Hunting, recorded from the same live concert as this song
THE DRUMMER IS INSANE!!

Besides his great tone and technique, Khan's intensity wins the day.
Check out Roy's new, or his revived old band..."conception".

Amazing song
Great band! 🤘🤘🎸🎸
Love it when my favourite band brings such a heartfelt and excited reaction!
2 words killing it enough said kick ass
As soon as you said it, I was singing... "Everybody was Drum Dance Fighting".
Forever!!! 🐙
El gran Casey Grillo...y el maestro Roy Khan...uuffff
Just great!
Love Kamelot. Saw them on the Ghost opera tour. Hasn't been the same for me since Roy Khan left
The melody is taken from Edvard Grieg's "Solveig's song" from the play "Peer Gynt", a real classic.
its amazing
Karma by Kamelot (live) with Roy Khan is also sick. I'd recommend that number.

Edvard Greig the great Norwegian composer.

King Diamond - Sleepless nights
Hello guys, i follow the Chanel for a long time, ♤♤, react to the hauting by kamelot live version with Simone simmons! Epic
Hola reaccionen a la banda death lack comprecion
Después de Roy es tan difícil seguir escuchando Kamelot, y tomy es genial, pero cambiaron tanto. 😔
Si, cambiaron el estilo, pero igual, Tommy es excelente cantante
React to Metallica medley/frantic 2003 mtv icon
It s amaziiing
Honestly, I prefer Tommy's rendition.
Roy's mannerisms just seem hammy to me, and Tommy has a clearer voice to my ears.
To each his own but you're in the minority.
God no.
You must be smoking crack my friend. Roy was Kamelot, it has been shit since the man left.
