This ending... You know, when I started this game in the first time I was impressed by the gameplay, but didn't waited something great from the story... And, When i reached the "Controller" gameplay fragment... Well, I don't like that part of game, and think, that game level is going down. I was wrong. VERY wrong. When i reached the stairs choice, i firstly look on the downstairs, becouse feel, that this fragment was wrong and all. And, when i came back to the upstairs choice... I didn't expect THAT ALL, what happened next. And on the "upstairs" ending... I cryied, like a little girl. This was so... I can't even find words to describe my feelings. Great game. Thank you, for walkthrough full game.
I don't really think so. Some parts of the game feels very repetitive (factory chapter, the planning board animation, the Mari flashback, etc.) Level design and scoring is alright, but not the best. Characters dialogue in English is just ok, feels weird at times. Istg if this game receives the scoring and polishing that is comparable to Celeste level, it'll be even peaker. Solid 8/10, but damn I still wish the devs could've done more.
@@vinhnguyen-o5z The dialogue in this game is terrible its NEVER ending lol and its jus spewing stuff you dont need to read.....wthhh dunno if i can play anymore after 4 hrs
Thank you! I was really not enjoying the gameplay during the factory segment, but I was extremely invested in the story. I really appreciate that I was able to watch your video rather than have to force myself to push through and potentially sour my enjoyment of the story. I'm curious what the "downstairs" route would've looked like, if there even is one, but I feel like the "upstairs" route you selected is probably the right one. I do also wish you had included whatever that last song was going to be, it sounded like it might've been a banger. Overall great video though, thanks for posting it!
Spoiler for downstairs! As far as I remember, instead of acting on his own and going to save Mari, the protagonist goes downstairs, brutally slaughters a bunch of people (don't know if it is to stop the nuclear warhead) and at the end he says "All that matters is to get to the end" or something. Basically a route, where you solidify, that the protagonist is just following his revenge, from his manipulated memories, instead of actually trying to break free from them. The achievement you get is called "What's important is seeing this through to the end." with the description "Choose the lie you want to believe."
I've played the game and despite the challenging mechanics, everything made sense to add to the overall experience and lore of the whole story except the final 2 hours after major song's battle. The content was overly explained and the gameplay was a stretch, making it a drag to complete. But gladly the ending is wholesome and made it worthwhile. Hope they make it a sequel, would be nice to revisit this world and story! Thank you for playing and posting this content!!
@@peterc504 it is good, pretty dragging at times but still a very good game. I don't even think it's overhyped, there's literally no hype surrounding it at least from what I've seen on western social media
maaaaan... the story has touched my heart deeply inside ... its so perfect ... i give it 12 /10 its so great .... all respect and love for the makers of this masterpiece ...and thank you zhain for choosing this game and for sharing this masterpiece with us ... thank you so much
I finally finished SANABI today just a normal run! Oh my god, this video game was gorgeous, emotional, wonderful and amazing!!!!!!!!! The ending was so sad and happy!!!!!!!!! The main character and his daughter finally now reunited after so many YEARS!!!!!!!!! It was gorgeous, emotional and amazing!!!!!!!!! Yes he died after that, but his daughter carries on his amazing legacy!!!!!!!!! SANABI was an masterpiece!!!!!!!!! Thank you SANABI for being one of the best 2D Platformer video games I have ever played along with Super Mario World, Super Mario Bros Wonder, Celeste and Pizza Tower!!!!!!!!! Thank you SANABI goodbye and farewell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know a game is good when it can squeeze emotion out of a reserved 20 year old man. The only other game to do that for me was the Outer Wilds DLC. Truly a masterpiece on the same level.
4:28:03 How did you get through this moment? My outbreak starts twice as fast. You just can't see where to go. No matter what I do. basically got Hard lock
Wait I die in one hit from the giant flying drone boss. Dunno why that is. Just realized I didn't start fresh from full release though so maybe I changed the difficulty.
@@vinhnguyen-o5z i would complain anything abt weeb things, the only reason why i dont mention it here is because i dont see it, i stop watching as soon the weeb song kicks in

Factory segment is fun as fuck, enjoyed it a lot, no enemies, just your movement feels amazing.
For real, I also stopped playing towards the end of the factory segment. I hate time based challenges.
the plot twist was crazy.
This game is so beautiful and the soundtrack is beyond amazing
