This video has me actually crying. I wish youtube and your channel were around when I was in my teens. I grew up 40 years too early. I would have loved to have come to Crunch Labs. I grew up barely middle class, but I know my parents would have been happy to buy me anything that I was interested in. I was mostly interested in math, science and nature and have an exceptional aptitude at them. But at that time being a girl, I wasn't encouraged by anyone or anything to go in the STEM path. My dad taught me everything he knew, and he knew a lot about every day things like gardening, working on vehicles, basis carpentry and I loved working with him. I learned a lot, but I could have benefited from so much more knowledge, like you show in your videos. I still love science and nature. I love the part about making water look like it's standing still. I may have to try doing that myself. Thank you for inspiring me. Thank you for inspiring someone who was probably like me 40 years ago.
I watched this with my son a couple of weeks ago. Today, he told me that he used the rock, paper, scissors method to beat his friends to be his class reader at the school Christmas Carol Concert. Proud dad moment
fun fact about ball bearings: many WW2 war machines used ball bearings and require a high amount of accuracy to be made. Attacking the ball bearing factories became a primary strategy of the allied forces.
I love how there's not a single boring moment in Mark Rober's videos. With many UA-cam videos I get distracted and browser the internet at the same time, but not with these videos.
Mark, your creativity never ceases to amaze! That slinky staircase was a childhood dream come true, and the rock-paper-scissors robot? Genius! Also, the background music from PVZ was a nice touch, really brought back some memories. Keep up the fantastic work!

The fact that rocky throws out all five fingers and then retracts fingers for scissors shows he is not tracking hand signals but instead is moving after the person already gives their move, thereby violating the rules of rock paper scissors.
There are other ways of simulating water instead of particles. For example finite volume methods are used way more often for simulation with high accuracy
its interesting to see how the channel developed. the newer the videos, the more colorful they are. shows clearly what kind of demographic they are targeting.
I love all your videos because you are so passionate about creating. Everyone needs to let their creative side flourish. The coolest things happen when you experiment.
18:00 The fact that Mark still thinks he has to prove that he's the favorite uncle amazes me. He could be anyone's uncle, and he'd be the favorite by a long shot.

The rock-paper-scissors bot uses the best winning technique, waiting for your opponent to go first
