- In a previous video, I mentioned that I wanted to try my new converter, spare transmission, and 29x10.5w slicks. That’s three unknown variables to try on the same day. The results? Fantastic!

Haha! Thanks Phil. It’s a fiberglass hood with a single stock hinge to hold it up. I can play with it again sometime.

Great videos Joe,, car is running hard,,, can i ask what you foot brake it at the line, and what are you using for a stall converter rpm wise..as a comparion for my 512 street car and about to install a 3000 rpm
Thank you! This converter is too tight. I was launching around 1,500 rpm, but it flashes to 4,800. Each converter will act differently behind different engines. I’m not certain about what this one was factory rated at, but it was for a 75% street driven car.

Those new slicks stick great. Seems the tree was kicking your ass and that's rare for you. So the cope trans has no trans brake so gonna foot brake it or line lock? What was your launch rpm? I think for the first time out it was a good day and the car held up well.
Thanks Rooster. The trans is out now. Converter is in the mail. All of these passes are null and void until I get the new trans and converter in.
Great Job. You look like you got your launch worked out. It looked alot better than it did the end of last year. I can run with ya heads up but your far better bracket racing than I. I blame that on old man syndrome.

Sure made a difference putting the slicks on I find that these cars hook good at least mine did but I wasn’t near as fast as you good for you on the pro class put that gm on the trailer you got a good setup I would say

Never was Dynoed. This engine is 12.7/1 compression, so I run VP 110. It’s got a simple top end with Edelbrock e street heads and a street dominator intake, with a 4150 AED carb 850 cfm.
