Hey Chris, just for the heck of it I went on the Dodge site and built a 2023 1320 single seater with no other options and then did a search. I was shocked to see actual new single seat 1320's available right now, and for $5,000 under sticker!
Too bad there's no hellraisin. As much as not getting a single seater is my only regret, I honestly couldn't see myself trading my 1320 in for another just for that alone, not when mine was my own order, has my own story, and is the one that broke the records I did. And to then on top of that just put it into the exact same config my current one is. No, I think I'll try to keep mine for as long as I live. Only thing I'd be missing out is an extra talking point since future value doesn't really matter to me.
@Scavenger1320 oh no, I agree! Was just surprised that they are out there and discounted. When I got cheated out of being able to buy a Demon or Superstock last year due to last call, limited allocations, and extreme dealer greed/markups, I was really hoping the 2023 cars were go unsold and rust on the dealer lots so-to-speak. Kinda glad to see it at least partially coming true.
@@artillerybuff2000 I feel the same way, and yeah, that scenario is definitely coming to fruition. I keep getting ads and seeing all sorts of dealers advertising 392 and Hellcat cars for way below MSRP now trying to move them, and we're almost 6 months into 2024! Seems like all the 'gotta get them before they're gone' buyers got theirs long ago and now all that's left are the weary buyers seeing all the chaos happening with Dodge and are staying as far away as they can.
@Scavenger1320 There's a fool arguing with me in the comments in racerx's 170 vid trying to tell me I must not be racing if I don't change my spark plugs after every racing event. Can you imagine? Some of these keyboard warriors are a trip...
@@artillerybuff2000 Changing plugs after every race? Sounds like someone who watched a feature on NHRA Top Fuel Dragsters that get rebuilt after every run and now thinking it applies to all cars lol.
I find I usually have to drive another vehicle anyway so I just take the core with me to turn in at the exact same time as buying the new one, or in the case where I was able to jump my car and at least make it to the store I'd just swap batteries in the parking lot right then and there so no extra trip.
@@artillerybuff2000 probably depends on the counter person. I'd bet most of the time they wouldn't even notice unless they went to pick it up. Although I do wonder if XS themselves would maybe take a core back. I don't know if they could do anything with it or not yet but I may have to ask them that.

Like you I kept my heavy OEM battery as a backup/jumper but it finally died so now I know what to do w/ it, thanks!
Yes, Auto Zone gives you a $10 gift card, which reminds me, I've got three to take in. Thanks Chris!
Thanks for confirming!
@Scavenger1320 yes, took one in yesterday. They give you a $10 card; $22 if it's for a core returned after a purchase.
Hey Chris, have you changed your spark plugs on the 1320 yet?
No I have not

What I do is keep one junk battery around just to use as a core exchange so I don’t have to make another trip

@@Scavenger1320 I wonder is they would accept the XS Power lithium battery for a core when it finally goes bad?

Leave it in a wal mart parking lot.
That's what I do with my kids.
So either you didn't actually watch this vid or you have no problem just throwing away $10 lol
