Honestly this was the best ever event in Destiny way better than soalstice of heros. High light level from old raids, exotic elemental primaries, exotic orderments to chase instead of buying, and actually good looking raid armor with glows

Someday the servers will be turned off, and you won't even be able to play this game. None of the content you ever purchased for this game transfers to future installments. Nothing mattered in the game after the time when they were introduced. Even quests from previous expansions, brought back in further expansions, eliminated quest givers dialogue that won't ever be heard again just because of this game's clunky design.
It's a finite experience dude.

God, age of triumph and destiny in its final state is so much fuckin better than D2 rn, it’s sad. They should’ve had d2 Be this big at launch and build more off that, not go back to pre dlc destiny and repeat the same process. But holy hell, the nostalgia is real rn, gonna go start a new d1 character and play the game in full

Not really. You could go to LFG.net, grab yourself a fireteam and do it at any point in these almost-3 years and still have fun, as it is entirely subjective.
Bunnuna Year 1 is still the best IMO, Fucking loved the grind and the experiences I had. Can't wait to relive them next week!
Kenshi0909 You're wrong. Year 1 will never feel the same again. Hitting max light is no longer a hard grind. Getting gjallarhorn out the gorgon chest after tons of hits and finally getting a vex drop from atheon. None of this will ever feel the same, even after AoT drops
I never said anything about it "feeling the same." The initial poster, in typical "hurr hurr I'mma veteran" style, makes it sound like you could not have fun doing the old raids just cause you didn't play them in Y1. No shit it's not the same. The game has changed a lot since launch.

Oh my God I almost started tearing near the end. This has been my favorite game of all-time since the Alpha nearly three years ago, and now we've finally reached the beginning of the end for Destiny. This is the way to celebrate our legacy.

Pocket Infinity are you actually defending this stupidity? people have spent hundreds of dollars for things I'm the eververse vendor all to be told that NONE of that will be transferred, not even for cosmetic purposes. therefore, all your hard work in this game will mean absolutely nothing. what they could've done is dumb down the light Level of the guns and armor to be a little bit above the common gear in destiny 2 with their perks disabled until some type of rare item is found to allow you to infuse that weapon to bring it up to speed. the only exception being exotics. those should just be found again due to their overpowered nature. hell, the least they could've done is allow you to choose gear u have currently equipped to come over to the next game.
Imagine if we get something like this after Lightfall/Final Shape for all the D2 raids.....

Me and a few of my other friends have been grinding out this game since the beta in the summer of 2014! Through every single raid together and every new dlc together, and to see everything come back and do it once more with them is gunna be amazing! So hyped!!!

Had so much fun playing this back in the day
Looking back at this makes me sad, All the nights spent with the bois doing the nightfalls and having a laugh with some raids were some of my best gaming memories ever. Just chilling in the tower while someone went AFK to go do something, just listening to the music while you wait, flicking through all your exotics and dismantling loot. Sad that it's over. I find it impossible to go the cesspool that is D2 and actually enjoy it with having playing D1. I'm sure D2 could be enjoyable from an outside perspective if you had never played the original but, if you had actually put the time into D1, you really just can't go into D2 and enjoy it the same way. I would love nothing more than for the original Destiny to come to PC just so I can do it all over again and relive it all. Would be amazing, man.

I've lost all hope that bungie will ever figure out how to recreate the perfection that Destiny 1 was in its final stage and bring it to Destiny 2. Destiny 2 such a disappointment.
If they were to bring back all of D1's content onto D2, I just hope they won't plague it with the problems D2 has. At the moment, I'm hoping for an authentic VoG experience, but I know I'll probably be dissatisfied.
I hate that they basically deleted ⅔ of Destiny 2 and they also wanna delete Forsaken; while if you play Destiny 1 you're still able to play all of its awesome content. Plus, Destiny 1 has, in my opinion, a better quality in terms of gameplay, artstyle and activities
