Zebo8000 They have been reset that number of times, not rebuilt. Exos just reset their minds to prevent their brains from rejecting their Exo bodies, causing them to lose memories in the process. Exo’s die like everyone else, rebuilding them would essentially be making a robot.
Zebo8000 The numbers are the amount of memory wipes happened in an exo, there’s more to it in the lore but ya it doesn’t mean how many times they’re rebuilt

I think one reason Forsaken was so successful is because it was so emotionally charged. Most of Destiny, even the near-apocalyptic parts, feels so casual, like it's just another day as a Guardian. But things like Forsaken, Taken King, Rise of Iron, and Red War didn't, because the storyline was so emotionally engaging. We need more storytelling like that.
This 100%. The emotional drive behind the story of a DLC can literally make or break it to be honest.
Here after completing Witch Queen and this is more true than you know. I didn't give 2 shits about Shadowkeep or Beyond Light but Witch Queen had be gripped from start to finish. Savathun's resurrection scene is one of the best in the franchise.
I'm pretty sure one of the main reasons they killed Cayde was to make this expansion personal to get players back to Destiny and it worked. At the cost of the best character in the game.

Bungies main problem is that there is no xploration in this game. It's just a Disney park with some rides you have to take again and again. There are four or five and two may be some fun.

Coming back to this trailer because of the soon to be released Shadowkeep, makes me really appreciate everyone that was involved in the story building of the Forsaken expansion. It was truely a large surprise to see that the story did not end at all after doing the obvious thing which would be to kill Uldren. No instead, we realize that this is the beginning a much deeper and bigger plot. Sure some of the stuff is told as time went on via lore taps and events that would happen months after the initial release. ( hinting at a very certain cutscene). But that made it honestly even sweeter.
Its remarkable to see such plottwist to be hidden away from Marketing. Definitly not the first game to have a plottwist hidden away from the marketing, but it was quiet the surprise nonetheless. Much respect for everyone involved in that part. I hope you guys will pull this sort of thing off again at some point in the future. Can't wait for Shadowkeep!
