Hearts of Iron IV is a grand strategy wargame developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. Released on June 6, 2016, it is the sequel to Hearts of Iron III and part of the Hearts of Iron series of grand strategy games focusing on World War II. Fun fact: if you do Military Youth focus after you got an ideology, you will get +20% support for that too, not just the manpower (so if you are facist or communist, you get that), so it might be worth it to wait for the referendum and do that later. Or at least that's how it was.
Done a Nazbol Iraq in coop multiplayer fairly recently and I can confirm that's still the case.

Default focus tree is extremely strong for very small nations. Expansion focus trees can be better, but they take TOO long to raise steam and get to speed. You would spend first 3-5 years dealing with massive negative modifiers alone. Default one has no negatives. You zoom through it, get a boost, conquet neighbours. Or you can cause fake civil war to get twice the boost from its industry focuses if you're cornered by more powerful neighbors.

@@zackhawn5944 you start small civil war and second side will have same default focus tree with all free factories. The only problem is - 1 state/small nations hardcoded not to take factory focuses until 1939 i think. If you want to have fun as yugoslavia with puppets - be sure to remove that line of code and watch as all your puppets rush factories. After you annex all of them you end up with like 100 factories or more.

Ideological loyalty is overrated, 26k manpower a year is very subminimal.
For a major? Yes, but for a minor nation? No, 26k manpower for a country like Luxembourg, Nepal, butan, Ireland and so on would be incredibly useful as they lack manpower

I want them to add an ammunition mechanic into the game. So you have to use factories to make it. Would change the game up a fair bit. Means you can't just endlessly attack. Micromanagement becomes more important
There is an ammo mod but it's a shame you can only create and use and not lend lease
That's.. Literally what weapons are, if you attack you lose more as well.

every time i play finland i just go fascist, hold around the lakes for a better frontline, buddy up with the axis until they capitulate, and then join the allies (if you make a soviet collab you can easily cap the soviets when the germans come)

5:21 you do understand that its useless to pick proffesional office corps for guarilla warfare human offensive doctine? it gives saves you 5 exp for each doctrine unit (doctrine contains 7 units -> 7*5=35 = the cost of officer corps..)

The difference is semantical at best.
What is the difference? Scandinavia means Nordic and Finland 🇫🇮 is a Nordic country with Sweden 🇸🇪 Norway 🇸🇯 Denmark 🇩🇰 and Iceland 🇮🇸 politically, economically, religiously, culturally and geographically.
@@cinderellaandstepsisters Geographically speaking Scandinavia refers to the Nordic peninsula of Sweden and Norway, however Denmark is also included, which makes no sense really. Other Nordics are left out.
This just goes to show how there is no real reason to exclude Finland from the Scandinavian group, especially when a portion of Finland is in the Scandinavian geographical region unlike Denmark which has no presence in the geographical region.
