- Paul Witty in his bad ass 1960 Ford Falcon going rounds in Big Tire No Prep during the Tulsa Raceway Park Midnight Drags. This garage built hot rod features a 572ci Big Block Ford with a little whiff of Nitrous to help her clear her throat. Even the Chevy guys love this car! lol We should mention that this is also we have filmed 1/4 No Prep racing, thanks to Tulsa Raceway Park.

You know that in Argentina the Ford Falcon is the emblem car! the last one was manufactured in 1991 in Buenos Aires, many of us still keep it, see it run and win, it makes us very happy !!! Here is the car that more road racing earned in history! is a procer !!!

Powerglide trans I bet. Could be wrong but they are the weapon of choice in transmissions. Sounds like only 2 gears to me.

This car is SWEET. Even the Chevy guys love it! lol This is the first time we have filmed 1/4 mile No Prep racing. Tulsa Raceway Park might be on to something here.

Its very nice to see that Falcon running, here in Argentina FORD keep on producing that Falcon up to 1991 -w/4 doors and straight 6 - and my brother and me learned drive on that cars - 1981 model to be honest - and my father bought one of the last - 1991 model - with a straight six and better head, 3 speed gearbox, beside the wheel and to be honest, that car was a total nightmare to drive, but hey!, the fun was go out with 12 people in there!!! Good memories.

Recuerdo un caso similar a éste Ford Falcon en mis tiempos de carreras clandestinas en Puerto Rico. Era una copia de éste modelo que hemos visto correr hoy día, contaba con un motor 289 C.I con "Headers Mágicos", transmisión manual de tres velocidades, y un diferencial 513 que lo hacía salir del hoyo como un misil. Se medía a autos para la calle de producción modificada y les sacaba un ventorral para el octavo de milla. Llamaba mucho la atención por su fea apariencia pero en realidad era un bólido bien armado y perfectamente sincronizado.
Grandes momentos vivimos los "fiebrús" en la época de los años setenta con aquellas carreras en la que teníamos que estar bien alertas de los policías.
Acá en los 70 también hizo maravillas !!... Hermosa leyenda el Falcon !.

I also have a '63 Falcon V-8. Nice to see you have a Ford engine in it. It is sacralige to have anything but a Ford in a Ford.

Love the Falcon! Especially the '63 to '60.. Had three 63's back in my day including a Sprint. A beautiful car that so many laughed at me for turning them into a hot rod (save for the Sprint of course).
In 1972 I bought a 62 Falcon TWO DOOR WAGON with a six banger, a manual three speed with the shifter on the floor. It broke down on Route 66 where I had to abandoned it. :-(
My Dad had a 1960 Falcon, I remember riding in the back seat as a kid. The shocks were so bad, it would bounce up and down on every bump. This car looks like it has a bit better motor!
My Dad had 2 of them. One 60 and one 61. The 60 got wrecked when a idiot in a Corvair hit it. The 61 rusted bad on the front fenders.

That Falcon appears to be set up nearly perfect. There's no front wheels way up in the air causing him to have to pedal it(like 2 of his competitors did - and both lost because of it). With the possible exception of the last race, he seemed to get good traction pretty much start to finish. Plus it's a Ford inside & out!

That set up was like Sox & Martin they never worked on Race Day and it did not wheelstand at all. Maybe low ET of night.
