Omgawd! LOVE these cars and quick drivers! Damn great machinery here!! Kudos to all of you and thanks for sharing this with us and take care out there!! Peace to All of Us!! ;)
I honestly don't enjoy the midnight drags anymore. They've made it into some big event that only happens every now and then, and you have a lot more cars like this, where it used to be every Saturday. It wasn't as busy, and it was more fun because there were a lot more normal cars out there.
Great video is always from you guys and these cars are just incredibly fast I mean at what point will man no longer they were going faster due to the loss of physics I can remember when Kenny Bernstein ran a Top Fuel 300 miles per hour and now what do we have butt all about the traction very fast cars excellent Name you put on a great show with these Door Slammers
Ohh haeal yeah! Watching videos is one thing BUT NOTHING compares to being there, experiencing the sounds, the thrashing crews, the awesome power these hotrods slam to the asphalt first hand. Being there,, that's where it really is, watching videos allows us to keep up with events we cannot see ourselves but the full experience cannot be had sitting in our EZ chair watching someone else be there.
@@matthewvarnam3152 yeh, I know that. I've seen it at the line and on the sides (off the track). To me, it's not a very good viewing area. You halfway see the launch and that's about it. You can't really "see" the side by side aspect of the race.
Old boy in the impala finally got caught both times he left on luck then good old Golden Kong scared him lol. I bet when he shows up to these no preps it’s like beater bomb showing up to the “street” no preps everybody thinks well shit gotta turn it up now.
Most excellent video work UHB! Many have already said it, all the guys n gals out there had best beware, Dwayne's Golden Kong is at your doors,, run away, run away fast,, tha Golden Kong will be showing you tail lights soon, very soon.!
They got that car freakin flying! I bet the Golden Gorilla's days are numbered in RVW, pretty sure this particular rendition, Golden Kong, is another car he owned but my guess is he will be building a pro-mod soon for RVW racing. I think the only way you can be competitive in RVW now is in a pro-mod. Pharris and his RVW car owner must have felt the same way. RVW cars are absolutely flying now! 3.50s are you kidding me!? Nitrous cars running 3.60, insane! Cool dimension of racing and guys are able to apply so much more HP to the tires on the tracks they race on. Great team of guys prepping the tracks and they need to be prepped to a T when cars are running 220+mph and now are running in the. 3.50s. Just insane how fast radial tire racing is progressing. I'm not sure that in No Prep racing that they are able to barely run 3.80-3.90 range!? Would like to know if anybody ha seen an times of the No Prep cars racing on a non-prepped track. Think the Vixen posted a video of their car running a 3.90s. I may be wrong but I just don't see cars running No Prep series being able to run below 3.80s!
Why are so many people standing at the start line. Aren't there rules for safety? Shorts, no safety glasses, no hearing protection. Not good. what happens when a tire or engine blows on the line. I have seen it happen.
I'm with you 231krazy, we know these are non sanctioned events but allowing so many non essential people in the staging lanes is asking for someone being hurt. It's not fair to the pilots OR the guys and gals who REALLY need to be with their car during the burn in. Having to worry about some dead head not paying attention and stepping into their path is just insane. As for personal eye and ear protection, it's up to them however one day they will wish they had worn proper ear protection. No good reason for not wearing at minimum ear plugs. You can still hear people, engine noises just fine but the hammering of ear drums will one day result in hearing loss.
I think you can pay extra to be on starting line. Back in day when my grandad raced a clutch came apart about 60 feet out and took a small boy's toe off. I know it doesn't have anything to do with this but some kind of safety measures need to be in place.
I helped to rebuild the track, after we cut the grade, installed the sand pit at the end of the track, and finally after we paved then lol then they literally had us sprinkle tide detergent where any muddy tracks where located and scrubbed the track with hydraulic power broom (like a streetsweeper on steroids) and a water tanker. Amd we scrubbed the whole thing. Took forever
WOW. Tulsa raceway park wont let you race your street car on drag radials without aftermarket wheel studs but will let people stand near cars at the burnout area and starting line. Doesn't make sense.
That's most tracks and it's because the chances of a wheel stud breaking even on a street car has much higher of a probability of happening. Drag radials are also hard on parts. Slicks do less damage in many cases.
@@REDZ28won Not sure where the confusion is coming from. Did I say they didn't? Don't believe I did. My comment was just to stress the point how hard drag radials are on parts. It's something most don't realize. Why you think I would imply that rule wouldn't be for slicks also is unbelievable but then again so was your first comment.
@@waynebollentin989 You mentioned how slicks do less damage and didn't say the rule applys to them also. Also no mention of all the idiots on the starting line that should really against the rules and used to be at the track. Dont know who is running the midnights but its a lawsuit waiting to happen.
@@REDZ28won Less damage doesn't mean no damage correct? Did I say you would be fine with slicks because they cause less damage? No of course not. Your playing stupid now smh... I do agree people on the starting line and around it is ridiculous at times but it gets enforced differently depending on track, who's there and what's going on. Not that, that's an excuse either but the guy teching in the cars is doing his job where someone else isn't. That's also the difference here.
Sure wish the UA-cam guys posting this would edit out 3/4 of all the burn-out & staging footage. Gets very very old

That last race was kind of shitty my man looked like he was getting burnt down a little which got him ansy but damn that red car was fast af it carried the left front tire all the way down track
