YES!!! i totally agree, i would choose the classier 442 Oids over a comparable Chevelle any day of the year, gotta love the 442 body and the rear window just glides right down into the back lid so smoothly ! ...i could go on and on.
Got a 70 cutlass and of course everybody loves the chevelle because it all you see everywhere else. I may be biased like you but owning my car I love the body style so much more. The rear window like you said and the quarter panels just scream muscle car. And the best torque out of the muscle car era, atleast top 3 guaranteed.
Sold ! Not surprised Jay. Was that the new owner's reflection in the rear bumper at 5.23secs ? 😂 l' m genuinely surprised you "step up" to a Chevelle. I'm starting to become familiar with the different makes and styles of cars in this period. It's obvious that the Chevelles outnumber the 442 's by a huge margin but l find the 442 to be far more elegant . Thanks Jay.

Great car, it's sold already. This car is my favorite and unfortunately, it's beyond my pay. When I was 18, I could get these cars relatively cheap all day, but I didn't have the money then either. :) One of my uncles was an A mechanic for an Olds dealer for 38 years and he would regale me on this car and others. Thanks for the video.
I had a 1970 442 in high school but it was a convertible, with all the same options , I wish I never sold the car, but here comes the kids lol 😂 by car
My brother got a 72 old cutlass with a 350 rocket .My dad gave it to him with only 63000 miles on it and he jump a ditch accidentally and that was that .Miss that white with tan top .It was sweet and this one is even sweeter .
One of the greatest. But for me personally... top 3. :1 64 SS Impala :2 this car lol. 1970 44 2 :3 El Camino. 60s-80s There are so many cars left out of here I kno, but in my collection these are amongst the first acquired.

Trany was rebuilt with a mild shift kit hello there were done at the factory heavy duty and shift kit same with the true W-30 motor was balanced and blueprinted and tuned as well from the factory...'70 was the last year for the true performance package '71 things went downhill... Hello the whole upper half of the hood was Fiberglass from front to back and side to side... How many miles on this car and parts have been changed but the 'F' heads it's a true W-30 because that and the exhaust carburetor camshaft timing components made the motor same with transmission was beefed up as well..from the factory the reason the were W- machines..

This car is also a clone 442 The fenders are not 1970 and the car is repainted.
Sorry but 442 without one of the 4's is not a true 442, they may be called a 442 but not with an automatic.
2:44 "The body as far as I can tell original panels"... This car does not have 1970 fenders . Period.
Stripes are incorrect
