This is so well drawn and I love how cramped it feels with veronica and the spirits of the people she got killed all sharing one frame. It feels like their presence in suffocating which is probably how she feels.

You know, I never noticed until this animatic that while Veronica’s mom is saying “your problems seem like life and death, I promise you, they’re not!” it’s interrupted by JD breaking in. It IS life and death with JD - jarringly cutting through her mom reassurances. And in the movie version, JD straight up admits he was going to kill her (only implied in the musical - why bring a gun?)

The way you showed that the boys died of gunshots and Heather died of poison is truly thoughtful and amazing! Even small things like these add a new layer to the whole animatic. The ghosts' different expressions are unique, you can really see that they're different people and not just copy pasted drawings. You drew Veronica's mom different from what I expected and I love it! She looks truly heartbroken and worried.
And Martha is so smol and must be protected. This is probably too long, but I just had so much positivity to share. Your work is great! :D

Okay, so I’m really late to the party, but this is really good. I know somebody has probably already mentioned this, but at 1:25 Kurt and Ram look a little upset, sad even. The line mentions running, and maybe Kurt and Ram feel bad for Veronica. They know that you can’t out run JD. After all, Kurt died trying. So maybe in this one particular scene, they feel pity for Veronica. Because they know she can’t escape him.
Anyway this is really late, I know you’ve moved onto bigger and better things and have probably left Heathers behind you, but I just wanted to say this is really good and the facial expressions and just the art style itself is beautiful!

I think it's worth pointing out that of all the shitty parents in this play, Veronica's immediately try to get her proper support and treatment when they think she's thinking about suicide. For all her faults, she does come from a genuinely good and loving home and I think that's what helps her overcome JD in the end.

Holy shit this is incredible! Also am I the only one that feels bad for Veronica's parents? They're legit worried sick about their daughter, they're terrified of losing her and honestly trying to connect with her and help her. They have no idea though that she is technically an accomplice to murder and I can only imagine how horrifying that would be to find out your child is hiding the fact that they helped kill someone (even if she was more or less tricked into doing so by JD). It also makes it all the worse when later on Veronica's mother comes into her room with snacks only to find her daughter "hung" herself. Thankfully it was an act to fool JD, but that split second before Veronica reveals she's still alive must've been near heart attack-inducing!
