GETTING THE WIPERS TO STAY IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION.. For my 2014 X3 wipers to stay in the vertical position I had to do these steps. 1. Press the on/off button WITHOUT your foot on the brake. 2. Press the on/off button again to turn accessories and car off. 3. Hold the wiper lever up all the way for 3 seconds, wipers should go up and stop in vertical position. 4. After changing wipers hit the on/off button and hit the wiper lever down to set the wipers in normal position.
I wish they would take this down and redo it the correct way to keep the wipers in the up position. Follow what the first comment is. He outlines the steps.
2016 X3: 1. Unlock vehicle; 2. Depress the ignition switch once WITHOUT placing a foot on the brake; 3. Engage wiper controls by pushing/pulling fully upward and holding until wipers activate into vertical position.
I just need to comprehend what kind of connection point is that called. Side tab, top lock, or slim top lock. It is definitely not a j hook... Please help! 😅 I suspect it is a "side pin"
This did not work for me. Here’s the procedure I followed: 1) Enter the vehicle 2) Start the engine 3) Wait about 10 seconds, then turn off the engine 4) Exit and lock the vehicle 5) Unlock it 6) From the driver’s seat, lift (not pull) the steering column wiper lever for a few seconds, until the wiper arms move and stay in the upright position. Then you’ll be able to lift the wiper arm and turn the blade for removal and replacement.
These wiper blades can be ordered here:

Setting wipers to service position, as shown here, doesn't work on my 2013 F25. Is there another method?
StuBeeDoo I can slightly pull it to the side before lifting it so that it doesn’t catch the hood (engine is off).
