While I don't think a full on sequel is likely, it would be nice to have a remastered version. Port it to a different engine or language. It will be hard, but it needs the better proformance.
I think if a Minecraft 2 was to exist, I'd wanna see it look like the animation trailers. Updated lighting, new style, enhanced animations, and of course a mountain of content on top of whatever they decide to carry over from the first game.

Survival could be pretty much what we have currently but overhauls to many things like combat, transport and the magic systems would be welcome. Just rounding out Survival to feel complete would be great. Creative is pretty much untouched but perhaps more options for creative expression mainly through making it easier like building tools akin to world edit and an official modding API which is well documented and available to the public. The thing I'd want is mainly just Minecraft but while not feature complete (I think on-going content updates would be nessecary) but something deserving of like $60 with plenty of content both official and the endless swarm of community content. Perhaps even official remakes of classic things like the Tutorial World and Minigames from Legacy Console Edition. Hell, I wouldn't be against a marketplace and such like Bedrock so long as it's moderated good with a decent chunk of free content to get you interested. Hytale's trailer looked similar to what I'd envision where the focus is on both the game itself and the community. That's what I'd wanna see in a Minecraft reimagining where it fixes Minecraft's problems and opens more doors for the community to make them actually welcome a new game instead of hating it with all their being.

Minecraft, in a sort of way, has kind of put itself into that state where it's become more of a 'live service' than a contained consumable game, at least as far as bedrock is concerned with the dozens of paid addons, skins, and the like. And because of how big it still remains, it would be a bit counterproductive from a business standpoint to migrate to a completely new version which would likely act the exact same mechanically... That being said, I've always been interested in the potential idea of Minecraft 2 being a 'soft-reset' with a majority of changes focussed on the game's performance along with introducing features that would have more creative freedom rather than each update appeasing a specific group of players. However, I think my biggest take from this is less of Minecraft needing a sequel, but there should be spiritual successor which emulates the creative freedom Minecraft once had before being influenced by Microsoft.
Tbh the only way they could justify creating Minecraft 2 would be if they actually add physics to it. They already redid code few years back (Whether for better or worse is up to debate) and theoretically they can keep building on top of what already there for as long as people want, so there's no reason to create a copy of what already exists. Adding actual physics would affect everything in the world creating a familiar yet completely different experience and thanks to that they could focus on more in-depth mechanics which would also make survival better (Since you can't just create a bed or even wall yourself off so easily on the first night due to wind blowing your loose dirt away for example).
Yeah i should’ve made a point to lay out some differences in Java version and bedrock bc they both address some of the points I made but not all. Java is older code I believe and bedrock is written in C++. From what I understand the older code is much better to work with. So why do we have bedrock? Bedrock Lags and can hardly load a menus screen sometimes! It’s a weird issue but I definitely think there’s room for a fresher team and a fresher canvas for them to create a new Minecraft. And yeah there’s still new physics new ideas new stuff! I would love to see a completely different and wild take on Minecraft!

I'd argue Forza Horizon 5 is worth marketing alongside Halo Infinite, with Ori and Psychonauts 2 not exactly being the most demanding of the titles and Starfield being... starfield, the game definitely needed more work. Also, you deserve a lot more subs!

LOL the problem with a mc 2 is that hytale and vintage story are definitely gonna be better. The only reason mc is still around is nostalgia and if mc 2 comes then it would have to compete with hytale which is already known and a lesser known early access(devs purposefully dont want vintgae story to be popular till its completed, but it still has way more content that current mc) game vintage story, truthfully both these games are everything fans have been asking form mc(and a lot of crazy features you won't have thought were possible to even implement along with crazy performance mc can't even dream of ) so there's no way mc 2 will beat both of these games lol. Both are also in development from around 2015-16 so ain't no way mc staff will be able to make a better engine features and unless they decide to actually use the workforce efficiently like these indie studios are doing(looking at their track record i don't think they can)
