Minecraft isn’t a story driven game and they don’t want it to be. It’s a lot more about creativity and freedom than the more linear adventure style of a game like terraria. If you play Minecraft like you play terraria then of course it’s going to seem short and restricting.
I think Minecraft is less versatile but I could totally see me and the boys hopping onto a server to play the game (Im gonna switch even though I have mega base. It just feels bad to work on something the entire day.

@@alyasVictorio ok it's not a strategy game in the classical sense where you're going against a direct opponent or competing against a rival where your decisions affect your outcome. But it is a strategy game in the sense of what do you put resources into in what order, and which resources to automate as much as possible in what order, until you get to late game you have to think about how to survive.
Mojang needs to be very cautious about what they add. Mods, Texture packs, Shaders, Servers and above all: Simplicity, are the best things about Minecraft. If Minecraft were to lean in one direction like per say a Dungeon RPG, they'd lose 99% of what Minecraft is. A Dungeon RPG sounds awesome. And guess what: There are mods and servers that can make that happen. That's the beauty of MC's simplicity. It can be anything and everything without colliding or limiting.
Exactly! I think that dungeons and more bosses would be cool but at the same time when we have them we can't get rid of them whereas we have mods that can
minecraft does have personalized gameplay, unless you strictly use vanilla. There are thousands of mods to choose from and that is all because of how simple the normal game is, if the normal game wouldn't been way more story driven it would've been way harder to implement mods to the amount we have today
Insane that despite how hard Mojang makes it for modders it has such an active modding scene. So many games actively support modders and bake mods as a feature in their game. Meanwhile, Minecraft has the most anti user friendly systems for modding, continuously breaking mods every update... also, the base game being story driven wouldn't change anything about the mods. Skyrim has tons of mods as another person said, and the most modded games in the world all have a heavy story basis to them
I remember this conversation about whether hytale would overtake Minecraft 5 years ago, they missed their chance, maybe if it released between 1.9 and 1.12, they could've gotten a good bit of minecraft's playerbase, honestly now I'd be better off just playing with the dawncraft modpack if that was the experience I wanted
Minecraft won't realistically be able to match the engine and modding capabilities of Hytale. It'll outclass MC out of the gate. I just hope it isn't monetization hell.
You can also add the fact that hytale will have built in modding support, making it extremely easy to download any kind of mods and to join modded servers or play with friends.
minecraft needs a better midgame. thats really it. no fancy biomes. no structures with godly op loot. maybee bosses? villager quests would be good, but specialized tools, weapons, armor, even functional blocks would be great. minecraft's progression is a simple wood>stone>iron>diamond>netherite. i love the upgrade changes that make you need a template. as a matter of fact i think adding a stage where you have to craft iron into steel before you can mine diamonds, or make the gold set not suck by forging them into tumbaga with copper. even templates should be bound a little bit to quests to stop monopolies on trims and upgrades. muli stage and multi use crafting would be cool too i think. i can picture utilizing the nether star and a specifc potion or other item to create an essence to further power up tools and armor (like tipped arrows) so you can finally make a poison sword, or and explosive pickaxe. minecraft's sense of wonder is whats been fading and should be found again, thats why the drivel about "look what modders did before you, lazy mojank!!1!" even exists. without the constraints of having to support multiple platforms, modder can absolutely make mods easier when the controls are all the same, only have to run on 3 operating systems, and are made with specific versions of the game in mind. ask bedrock modders about the struggle of having their projects work on mobile devices, if they even work on consoles, or if their pack works on realms. mojang has to do all that, chunks of their "wowee 715 employees" are social media teams, merchandise teams, translation teams that make up the chunk of their company. not all of them are devs and designers. i agree that a bolstered productivity was made pre microsoft ownership, but that only tells you even moreso that a parent company is playing a critical role in the way is even allowed to be made. i do feel like hytale's biggest advantage is they can also observe minecraft's failures and flops. seeing videos of what the people seem to want. in that same vein, the absolute overhaul and rework minecraft sorely needs means that a lot of the player base will be unhappy, the sentiment of some being "ugh you mean i have to explore my world to get specific enchantments??" or "why make it even harder to get to netherite??" the combat changes were the biggest reasons some servers never updates as well! theres a divide in what people of varying mindsets, ages, and playstyles all want. catering to the most amount of people will still leave so many feeling shunned and unheard. i personally feel like MCDungeons was made for those who want sick rpg loot. would that fit the base game? no, its a serious overhaul that some people wont like. customizing the game with settings is something that would allow for a greater feeling of personalization. Ark SE is a game that lets you tweak everything to your liking, and even had a version called primitive plus that offered a much more rustic feel for the game if Tek and cybernetics wasnt what you liked. minecraft could benefit with options that dont feel like punishment like having to enable cheats for not wanting to be attacked for not sleeping. hypixel can do all this day one whenever they launch hytale, but mojang cant up and change minecraft completely and call it an update, deal with it. i have high hopes for hytale. i love games like terraria, valheim, portal knights, and the upcoming enshrouded. i hope that hypixel releases something that they, themselves, are proud of.
I made this about a year ago, Reasons why Hytale should release in 2024 1. Minecraft at its lowest:- So minecraft is a very popular game but it goes up and down in popularity every few years and as of today it is declining and there’s no sight of it getting up sooner. 2. Hytale’s fanbase:- Well the hype has died but every now and then those who were ones interested in game comes to see the progress and it would not be hard to build back hype. 3. Overall gaming boost:- In next few years gaming will see a huge growth in African and Asian countries and especially in India where gaming industry it is said to be bigger than Bollywood and music industry combined and there a whole new and fresh market forming in these countries.
Good criticism unlike some videos he gave a valid opinion supported his reasoning. One nitpickly thing is when you mentioned the textures and how the textures look slightly worse than Minecraft (its a nitpick about a nitpick but just wanted to mention it) but if Hytale wants to compete with Minecraft they have to be at the standard/ better than Minecraft
I actually like the textures in Hytale. They’re not oversaturated like in many survival games & look a bit more realistic, while still having that cartoony look
I want 2 things in Hytale - Origins Mod so i can create custom abilities and stuff for the players but of course knowing the way its going ill be capable of going for much more. - Create mod, i wanna build complex machines for balanced automated resource gathering
The only people interested in hytale are people who already play minecraft, and a small portion at that. I doubt it will get anywhere near Minecrafts reach and popularity. I also think its a bit harsh to say Mojang doesn't listen to their audience at all, compared to other triple A developers, they are on the high end of interaction and feedback. Smaller and more focused games and communities will naturally have a higher audience feedback rate. Also hypixel inc the server owner and the game dev studio hypixel studios are two seperate companies, with studios being bought by riot, so bringing up the achievements of the server is a bit misleading, which a lot of the video focused on. You list the employees as 137, and say they are working on both the server and hytale, but this isn't true, since the 137 figure is soley for hypixel studios, and thus has only been working on hytale. As it stands, hypixel studios has been working on a game for 8 years with little actual gameplay footage shown, and less than 2 years ago started completely rewriting the source code for the game from java into C++. During the last few years, there has been almost nothing shown to the community, releasing only two blog posts in the entirety of 2023, and only one in 2022! The posts themselves almost exclusively consist of concept art with little actual game details as well. I don't understand why you are holding Hytale as a beacon of community interaction, when this is simply not the case. Frankly, I'm skeptical the game will ever come out, let alone overtake minecraft. If we go by the actual "standards of hytale" as you do in the video, then all minecraft has to do is release the game, which they have long since done. It is pointless to compare an actual product against "promises" and "maybes" with no actual results yet. The video is high quality, and I will definitely be subbing, but I would suggest making sure you doublecheck your scripts and make sure that you don't get basic things wrong like not realizing Hypixel Inc and Hypixel Studios are two different things.
It's in active development and the studio was acquired by Riot, it will come out and it's clear that the devs are dedicated to releasing a really good product through their revamp of their game engine and community engagement
Hytale will probably be a Story-Sandbox hybrid in a sense that you can choose to follow the story but at the same time not to. Imagine triggering a side quests while trying to find the perfect spot for a house ☠️
Structures in minecraft are a very specific experience. The ideal structures can be considered a pyramid and archaeological structures. Because that's where the challenges for the player are located, which work according to the principle - do not break too much to get maximum resources. However, in terraria, ore not of your level is indestructible, in minecraft only blocks that are fundamentally indestructible are indestructible. Ore is not of your level in minecraft, it just does not drop (do not break too much to get maximum resources) "do not break, do not put blocks" - rules on custom maps. The difficulty in creating a dungeon for minecraft is precisely that such rules contradict the logic of the vanilla game. If you enter a classic dungeon, it's too easy to turn on the mole mode, start digging a tunnel under the blocks. Although no, if you cover the classic dungeon behind the walls with two layers of lava, this will force players to pass it according to the rules conceived by the developers.
One thing u forgot to mention is that hypixel studios (company making hytale) and hypixel inc(managing the server) are two different companies, hypixel studios is owned by riot and hypixel inc is funded by the community and has a much smaller budget compared to hytale with a more passionate dev team. There is no guarantee hytale will be as amazing as hypixel skyblock
I realized that after I uploaded the video, had I known I would have changed something but oh well. But you are right, I still have hope though that it will be similar to Hypixel
I think Hytale is both Terraria and Minecraft: these 2 are sandbox games, but in Minecraft you can be more creative than in Terraria, but in Terraria you have more exploration and combat stuff. With this I mean that in Hytale you can use your imagination like in Minecraft or maybe you can use it even more, and I'm sure about that because there are the vertical slabs xd (besides jokes, there's a modding system that is more expanded and if you don't want mods, there are some fun commands, some look like worldedit for example, but in Minecraft you need a mod to do have these commands), but at the same time you can have fun adventures like in Terraria, because the world is more expanded, there are a lot of mobs, fhere are great fighting systems... So, in my opinion Terraria and Minecraft are near the perfection, but Hytale WILL be the perfectio; maybe, I hope so (and I'm 99% sure that it will be). Aniway, I hope the game is going to be release in 2025, and it probably will, but if it is going to take more time, let's give Hypixel the time they need to complete the game, because I think no one wants another game that is going to end like Cyberpunk2077
minecraft was allready close to dieing if there is a better option for creative and adventure parts+ a competitive szene then its dead dead! Gj on the video btw
vintage story beats minecraft in building and exploration terms and yet I see not many people talking about it I play vintage story for a few months and minecraft for over a decade, but minecraft still wins in simplicity and world generation
I really cannot agree with people that say that Minecraft will last "forever" because it allows you creativity and freedom, while hytale is more story/rpg focused. The thing is, Hytale is also full of tools that allow creativity and freedom, while giving so much more. And, on top of that, its way more beautiful.
it would be perfect if the accessories needed blocks of ore to craft so they will super endgame and rare items, for example: using blocks of oxidized copper the player will give extra 0.5 block reach, for gold 1 block, for iron 1.5 blocks up until netherite which will upgrade the progression system in minecraft.
Mate a few points: 1. First of all if you compare mojang to other big gaming companies like ea I think they do listen to their audience. Yes it could be better but you‘re talking about it like they‘re absolute sh*t at it wich is not true. 2. Hytale will not beat Minecraft. Hytale looks too much like a minecraft mod. It’s too similar it will never beat the main game. Minecraft may be beaten at some point by an original and new idea. Not buy a game that just copies minecraft and makes it better here and there. 3. Even though I disagree with your opinion the video was good quality. So please don’t see this as a hate comment it’s really just my opinion.
Hytale will def not beat Minecraft in a few Months or even Years after release, but I do disagree with "it will never beat the main game". Hytale itself is not a Game, its a Platform where Users will be able to create their own Voxel Games/Servers and share them with the Community. The Game that you see, aka "The Adventure of Orbis", is Hypixels own Voxel Game using the Modding Tools that they offer in Hytale. Its basically the Basis for every Game and a Showcase on what can be done with them. So someone could recreate Minecraft 1:1 in Hytale, even tho Hypixel wouldn't allow it because of Copyright Issues. But it would be possible.
No it wont. The only people who care about Hytale, besides Hypixel, are UA-camrs who profit off of complaining about the game, and chronically online losers who complain about the game not having the features they want, technical and creative based updates "not having enough content" (I wonder how these people would act if we got an update that's mostly about performance), creative/non RPG based features being "useless" (_cough_ Copper _cough_), it being boring for them because they don't have a good imagination/creativity but act like it's Minecraft's fault, and it "not being as good as it used to be" even though that opinion is just born out of nostalgia, it's not about the game. A lot of their complaints basically boil down to them wanting the game to be an RPG instead of a sandbox, which, no it shouldn't be an RPG. How do you even get more personalized gameplay than Minecraft. I mean, the gameplay is completely built by the player. Adding kits does the opposite of personalizing gameplay because they're set by the game and not the player. Also, just a reminder that more features doesn't equal better, sometimes it just makes things feel bloated. I feel like adding new sets of armor and tools would kinda bloat Minecraft, and yes you could say that they could add armor that has specific abilities, but I could also say that those abilities would be better as enchantments since it gives the player more options as to how to play the game. Mojang not listening to feedback well is most likely due to 2 things: Microsoft (which some people don't understand that some Mojang problems are actually caused by Microsoft), and how big the player base is. Like you said, there's been over 300 Million Sales. The bottom line is that Minecraft's not going anywhere, no matter how much these people try to kill it.
Yep, I agree and I mention what you said at 9:30 in the video. I don't believe it will kill Minecraft but I do believe it could have a Fortnite effect where it takes over for a bit. Even when Hytale comes out I know for a fact that my friends and I will still do Minecraft together. Again though, just my opinion
I think Hytale will become popular but I doubt it will beat Minecraft. Minecraft works so well because it can accomidate a massive variety of playstyles very well: Building, PVP, Exploring, Redstone, Speedrunning, Resource grinding, Parkour, Minigames, Technical Minecraft, Modding and countless others things I can't think of right now. Players will find playstyles they enjoy and when they're bored, they can do something new. Hytale looks like a great building and exploration game but unless it has the same wide variety of very well executed features, players will get bored and move on. What can I do when I've beaten the game? I can build... forever. I can play PVP, though it's unclear if the PVP is any good, I can speedrun, though it's unclear if speedrunning will be any good and while you might argue that there will be infinite user generated content, what will make the user generated content in hytale better than what's already in minecraft?
By the way, I thought you're video was very good and felt researched and thought out. Just personally, I don't see myself swithing to playing hytale every day
i mean minigames parkor and modding will all be in hightail and they have some sort of tech system if i remember, a lot of yours are just hypothetical fears
Minecraft has alrealy millions of players and is basically something cultural at this point but I feel like if Hytale play it's cards right and Minecraft keeps doing whatever the f they are doing rn, Hytale can beat Minecraft
This video makes me upset. I know I shouldn’t hold you to a high standard becuase I’m guessing your relatively young but your lack of understanding of what sets Minecraft apart from rpgs like terraria or hytale is killing me
You may want to watch 9:30. . . I do understand what make's Minecraft fun, it's because it's simple. Next time please watch my entire video to take me in complete context 😀
Dude as much as I love the idea Minecraft Is not going to let that happen im pretty sure Minecraft will be on every new console for about another 15 years due to the fact so much love and time was put in the game and just cuz of that fact I believe Minecraft will still be around the time hytale is out
The employee number isn’t correct. At least tmk. Hytale itself already has more than 110 employees and hypixel (the server) is developed by completely different people (I think it’s around 70-80 people). So Hypixel including Hytale probably has over 300 employees in total. Regardless… I think Hytale is gonna blow up and I’m definitely gonna spend hours on end playing the game once it finally comes out
Yep, minecraft is the only sandbox game on the market so they can be as lazy as they want and people will still play it. If hytale is good, people will surely play that new game instead and mojang will have to wake up if they dont want to end up broke
I don't think MC will have trouble. Likely, Hytale will have a lot of hype, and then after the hype, only the dedicated players will remain. Also keep in mind that peoppe will probably mod Minecraft into Hytale, lol. I admit I'm hyped for Hytale, but I think it's almost a different genre of game and the two will instead live in harmony lol.
And what makes hytale more better its that same version will release for mobile and pc/ console. Not like Minecraft with Java and bedrock separate one.
Hypixel server team and Hytale team have absolutely nothing to do with one another. In fact, Hypixel has such garbage management that I wouldn’t wanna try Hytale otherwise. I can’t wait for the game to release but it sure has nothing to do with Hypixel, their poor server management or their shitty “Skyblock” game.
you basically just described wynncraft also hytale is taking so long to come out that it has to be incredibly good on release or everyone will hate it imo very overhyped
Jetstarfish is a big inspiration for my videos and I think that his style and maybe even some of content can leak over into my videos. I by no means do this on purpose, but occasionally I think I can subconsciously do something similar to him.
Hmm...what about LEGO Fortnite? It's quite nice so far and it even implemented a building system that encourages creativity and the game mode looks stunning and gorgeous. Also the progression is really easy to understand and the game mode is quite lively too. Also the world adapts to your gear and gives you harder enemies when you gain better weaponry/gear. Lastly, the game mode has a glider, which is awesome.
@ausaramun Lego Fortnite is a great side gamemode but is nothing compared Terraria or Minecraft, the progression is very linear and short and you mainly build from presets. It is a fun side gamemode but I personally had to resort to making my own fun by theming the villagers into different biomes.
The main advantage of hytail is that they have more freedom with Microsoft owning minecraft they ristrict what mojang can do however minecraft does have a huge modding community somewhat making up for it. On the other note minecraft is a sandbox game where you can do anything and everything you want that's why the story isn't the best as you explained but that isn't a bad thing also mojang can only listen to the community as long as it doesnt change minecraft to much once again thanks to Microsoft
there's a lot of flaws to this . 1st, minecraft is famous for it's personalized gameplay. it has so many branches and communities and mods. you obviously don't understand the point of minecraft 2nd, hytale is not more efficient than mojang. its been worked on for 5 years just for a beta. 3rd, they are not competition. one is like a free range 3d legos, while one is a 3d rpg with minecrafty elements. 4th, one of the best parts of minecraft is the lack of gatekeeping. only like 5% of player go to the end, so an end update would be a waste and locking items after bosses would make a lot of player mad.
The problem that Mojang suffers from is that Minecraft is a game built to be simplistic. If Mojang were to add Minecraft Dungeons style combat and weapons some people would feel like the game isnt Minecraft and it would be overloaded. Then comes to features you have both Microsoft and the community blocking this as well. Dungeons wont get big updates because half the community likes the simple dungeons in the game. Microsoft comes in with mobs for example Sharks not being in the game bc China, you cant ride dolpins because animal cruelty even though we do that IRL and dolpins enjoy it and theres literally an achievement in the game that ride pigs off a mountain. Or fireflies not being added because they are poisonous to frogs... so make the frog eat Magma slime.. Microsoft and the community are a problem people like simplicity too much and Mojang and Microsoft have this weird realism mentality. Minecraft doesnt need a story to have magic wands, daggers, spears, and hammers. Minecraft doesnt need a story to have updated dungeons or anything like that of the sorts. It just needs them to be fun and allow the community to do what the community wants.
Hypixel studios listening to the community? Yeah, maybe for Skyblock but they neglected the rest of the server and continue to do so. Up until recently, Bedwars and Skywars, and that's there biggest money maker besides Skyblock, remained the same for years without any sort of updates other than small fixes and not giving the community what they want. And, if they were to care about community feedback, we would at least have a playable Alpha that anyone could participate in to give feedback on the game. I know game development takes time, but five years is way to long for even an alpha release. They are spending to much time on the game, if they are even still working on it like they say, to get feedback at the moment. From what I have seen of the game, it will not beat Minecraft. They focus on two completely different types of gamers. One is definitely tailored toward RPG and combat while the other is focused on creativity and telling your own story. While Hytale is trying to compete with Minecraft, it won't work because they are to totally different projects focusing on different things. I hope Hytale does good and I want to play it, but will it replace Minecraft for me? No, because they are too different of titles for them really to compete.
Hytale isn't intrinsically a story game either, there is the main game which does have a narrative but it also has a really strong emphasis on player freedom and creativity through other modes
Awesome video!! I’m curious as to whether or not Hytale is a little different, just because part of Minecraft puts all players in the same role. Everyone has access to the same tools and abilities, and part of the fun is seeing what YOU can do with them 😊
This video fundementally misunderstands what made Minecraft unique and successful to begin with, simplicity. The devs have strayed far from that but for a long time it was a very simple game, which ultimately made it feel more like a sandbox. I would also argue the weapons are not the main point of the game, sure if this was an RPG a class system would be fitting, however the playstyles in Minecraft exist around what you do, not how you fight, because fighting isn't the focus. For example one could really like automation and make that their whole goal, or maybe just building a lot, or even just playing the game as fast as possible, etc. Everyone plays Minecraft in their own way. Your point about Minecraft "improving" their graphics also really isn't a good point, the art style was meant to be simple, saturated, it was part of the original Minecraft charm, again the devs have completely abandoned this since 1.14 but it was part of what made the game so iconic. Once you go and make the game look very complex you start to lose sight of the original purpose, and there is little difference between that and a generic indie game. I would argue if Hytale really wanted to be a spiritual successor they'd have to lean into this simplicity, sure they can't literally copy textures but adding in tons of very high poly enemies, animals, and items, along with complex mechanics really raises the barrier of entry for new players and again, ruins the point of the game. I think Minecraft's strength was its simplicity and open ended gameplay loop, it's a real sandbox.
Regarding your first point, you clearly didn't watch my entire video so you may be taking me out of context, watch from 9:30. Your second point I agree with. The barrier of entering the game may be quite high resulting in lower popularity. However, terraria also has a very high entry level and yet is the 13th best selling game of all time with 50 million copies sold!
Good video but I feel like Hytale really looks like Wynncraft. It will just be more popular because it is coming from a good previous server. Also how can a server in minecraft, beat minecraft?
Wait I love you cause your talking about both minecraft updates and hypixel Skyblock. Bro can i be your friend on discord i want to play with you sometime ❤
If hytale ever releases its probably gonna be my final game of choice, so many hours will be spent into a single game.
beta tests will prob happen this year imo, and release will prob be 2025/2026 realistically

It's weird how people don't understand that nowadays. Either that, or they don't have good enough imagination and instead of admitting that, they blame the game for their own boredom.
Minecraft is a game where your limit is your own imagination. This is the core principle of the game. You are your own architecture
I totally agree, this is what I said at 9:30 in the video
But in Hytale there seems to be the same freedom and creativity, combined with harder optional adventures.
Hypixel studios just stabbed Mojang at the back. I don't have other to say
What? The two companies have never had like any formal agreements on things, this is literally a game studio creating a game that is quite inspred by minecraft but still fundementally different in many ways

But it is a strategy game in the sense of what do you put resources into in what order, and which resources to automate as much as possible in what order, until you get to late game you have to think about how to survive.
@@barsenlazar yeah! You got that point
Exactly! I think that dungeons and more bosses would be cool but at the same time when we have them we can't get rid of them whereas we have mods that can
apparently you can't really make it dungeon RPG, according to yourself
@@atanaZion Not the original Minecraft. That’s why they released a dungeon rpg based on minecraft
@All_About_Random minecraft doesn't just add things because minecraft has lore, wants you find it, they show you without telling you
minecraft does have personalized gameplay, unless you strictly use vanilla. There are thousands of mods to choose from and that is all because of how simple the normal game is, if the normal game wouldn't been way more story driven it would've been way harder to implement mods to the amount we have today
Valid point
I’m also very happy with challenging my creativity in long term survival worlds.
Hytale still does that better though, since its going to have better modding tools
say that to skyrim... just not a excuse lol
Nah they still got a chance
I feel like now they have more of a chance than ever with everyone becoming more and more disappointed with their recent updates
@@FingFantasticFox fr.

Minecraft won't realistically be able to match the engine and modding capabilities of Hytale. It'll outclass MC out of the gate. I just hope it isn't monetization hell.
I think with the textures argument, its quite subjective. I personally think the artstyle looks great, but I can understand why other people might not
You can also add the fact that hytale will have built in modding support, making it extremely easy to download any kind of mods and to join modded servers or play with friends.
minecraft needs a better midgame. thats really it. no fancy biomes. no structures with godly op loot. maybee bosses? villager quests would be good, but specialized tools, weapons, armor, even functional blocks would be great. minecraft's progression is a simple wood>stone>iron>diamond>netherite. i love the upgrade changes that make you need a template. as a matter of fact i think adding a stage where you have to craft iron into steel before you can mine diamonds, or make the gold set not suck by forging them into tumbaga with copper. even templates should be bound a little bit to quests to stop monopolies on trims and upgrades. muli stage and multi use crafting would be cool too i think. i can picture utilizing the nether star and a specifc potion or other item to create an essence to further power up tools and armor (like tipped arrows) so you can finally make a poison sword, or and explosive pickaxe.
minecraft's sense of wonder is whats been fading and should be found again, thats why the drivel about "look what modders did before you, lazy mojank!!1!" even exists. without the constraints of having to support multiple platforms, modder can absolutely make mods easier when the controls are all the same, only have to run on 3 operating systems, and are made with specific versions of the game in mind. ask bedrock modders about the struggle of having their projects work on mobile devices, if they even work on consoles, or if their pack works on realms. mojang has to do all that, chunks of their "wowee 715 employees" are social media teams, merchandise teams, translation teams that make up the chunk of their company. not all of them are devs and designers. i agree that a bolstered productivity was made pre microsoft ownership, but that only tells you even moreso that a parent company is playing a critical role in the way is even allowed to be made.
i do feel like hytale's biggest advantage is they can also observe minecraft's failures and flops. seeing videos of what the people seem to want. in that same vein, the absolute overhaul and rework minecraft sorely needs means that a lot of the player base will be unhappy, the sentiment of some being "ugh you mean i have to explore my world to get specific enchantments??" or "why make it even harder to get to netherite??" the combat changes were the biggest reasons some servers never updates as well! theres a divide in what people of varying mindsets, ages, and playstyles all want. catering to the most amount of people will still leave so many feeling shunned and unheard. i personally feel like MCDungeons was made for those who want sick rpg loot. would that fit the base game? no, its a serious overhaul that some people wont like. customizing the game with settings is something that would allow for a greater feeling of personalization.
I made this about a year ago,
Reasons why Hytale should release in 2024
MOM GET THE CAMERA, SOMEONE ELSE MADE A VIDEO ABOUT HYTALE
Oh yeah!! When I was searching for other Hytale thumbnails and videos, 90% of the videos were yours 😂
Yep, I would agree
100% will destroy Minecraft. Minecraft will slowly die but not completely after Hypixels release.
I actually like the textures in Hytale. They’re not oversaturated like in many survival games & look a bit more realistic, while still having that cartoony look
So many people dont actually do their research with this game like many people dont even know why its taking linger than expected and it shows
I want 2 things in Hytale
- Origins Mod so i can create custom abilities and stuff for the players but of course knowing the way its going ill be capable of going for much more.
- Create mod, i wanna build complex machines for balanced automated resource gathering
Hytale is designed to be as moddable as possible, so probably yeah
#videoideas i want to see a full breakdown from you about hytale it is interesting to see everyone’s perspective and what they think
just like palworld distroyed pokemon, i feel like hytale will distroy minecraft

Why tf is the ost SO GOOD
I know! And when I heard it was copyright free for Hytale videos I was so excited!
Yeah, completely agreed tbh. To already insist that Hytale would overtake Minecraft, based on essentially fuck all, is a *very* bold claim.
That’s crazy for 2 reasons. 1 I ain’t reading your book of a paragraph. 2. I don’t play minecraft yet would play the shit outta hytale💀
I hope mojang listens to this man
I hope Mojang listens to everyone honestly
one thing I feel is a little misleading, the team that works on Hytale and the team that works on the Hypixel server are separate
So excited for the newest bloogpost.
At least now they have trial chambers
maybe we'll consider it when it releases (next year guys trust, we said this last year but like, next year guys just hang on like grahhhh)
"How Hytale *_will_* beat Minecraft" like it's even going to come out 😭
Yeah if hytale ever happens
It's in active development and the studio was acquired by Riot, it will come out and it's clear that the devs are dedicated to releasing a really good product through their revamp of their game engine and community engagement
Love to see some love towards this masterpiece ❤
oh hi
Hytale will probably be a Story-Sandbox hybrid in a sense that you can choose to follow the story but at the same time not to. Imagine triggering a side quests while trying to find the perfect spot for a house ☠️
You are probably right. I almost imagine it like Zelda and Terraria mashed into a block game. . . Maybe my judgement is off though 😆
if only it releases
Structures in minecraft are a very specific experience. The ideal structures can be considered a pyramid and archaeological structures. Because that's where the challenges for the player are located, which work according to the principle - do not break too much to get maximum resources.
However, in terraria, ore not of your level is indestructible, in minecraft only blocks that are fundamentally indestructible are indestructible. Ore is not of your level in minecraft, it just does not drop (do not break too much to get maximum resources)
"do not break, do not put blocks" - rules on custom maps.
Gj on the video btw
vintage story beats minecraft in building and exploration terms and yet I see not many people talking about it
I play vintage story for a few months and minecraft for over a decade, but minecraft still wins in simplicity and world generation
I really cannot agree with people that say that Minecraft will last "forever" because it allows you creativity and freedom, while hytale is more story/rpg focused.
The thing is, Hytale is also full of tools that allow creativity and freedom, while giving so much more. And, on top of that, its way more beautiful.
something telling me that Hytale will release sometime after GTA 6. just feels like it.
IF there is servers like bedwars with mage and classes then that would be my new favorite game
Man, can you imagine, that would be awesome!
it would be perfect if the accessories needed blocks of ore to craft so they will super endgame and rare items, for example: using blocks of oxidized copper the player will give extra 0.5 block reach, for gold 1 block, for iron 1.5 blocks up until netherite which will upgrade the progression system in minecraft.
Mate a few points:
And honestly, you may be right. I believe it has a chance but I'm not sure if it will take over the aspects of Minecraft such as smp's.
@@All_About_Random that is true. And once again the video is done really well. Good job
@@HeinzAnimation I see. That’s interesting. I mean it could for sure beat the Minecraft market place😅
Yes, but we still don't have a game.
Honestly the reason ppl go to hytale wouldn't b the features, but rather the unhappy playbase and frustration with mojang.

If Hytale ever becomes a thing (I haven't looked much into as of recent), I'd like to see how it compares to Wynncraft

Even though hytale is better, minecraft will still be special because it’s simple
Hypixel Inc (Minecraft server) and Hypixel Studio (Hytale) parted ways years ago.
Naaahhh, i believe Hytale and Minecraft are the same game .
they are not
Dude as much as I love the idea Minecraft Is not going to let that happen im pretty sure Minecraft will be on every new console for about another 15 years due to the fact so much love and time was put in the game and just cuz of that fact I believe Minecraft will still be around the time hytale is out
The employee number isn’t correct. At least tmk. Hytale itself already has more than 110 employees and hypixel (the server) is developed by completely different people (I think it’s around 70-80 people).
So Hypixel including Hytale probably has over 300 employees in total.
Regardless… I think Hytale is gonna blow up and I’m definitely gonna spend hours on end playing the game once it finally comes out
Yeah dude, I'm so excited for it to come out!
When hytale comes, im sure it will be great but also will make minecraft better. The competition will force minecraft creative and devs to do better.
Yep, minecraft is the only sandbox game on the market so they can be as lazy as they want and people will still play it. If hytale is good, people will surely play that new game instead and mojang will have to wake up if they dont want to end up broke
Just like tabs mobile it been 2 year and there's no news and no release date, maybe hytale and tabs will might release on 2025 just like gta 6

Yeah I actually agree, I honestly don't know what's going to happen but I thought this topic would make an interesting video so I gave it some thought
For sure, if they meet expectations it will do well but at this point, that bar is pretty high
so similar to jetstarfish 🤨
They can't even release any new gameplay videos, what hope do they have of being better than Minecraft? At least Vintage Story is playable.
Vintage Story is a very different game from Minecraft tho
The main advantage of hytail is that they have more freedom with Microsoft owning minecraft they ristrict what mojang can do however minecraft does have a huge modding community somewhat making up for it. On the other note minecraft is a sandbox game where you can do anything and everything you want that's why the story isn't the best as you explained but that isn't a bad thing also mojang can only listen to the community as long as it doesnt change minecraft to much once again thanks to Microsoft
personally the textures look good to me, dont know what your talking about
Just my opinion
there's a lot of flaws to this .
1st, minecraft is famous for it's personalized gameplay. it has so many branches and communities and mods. you obviously don't understand the point of minecraft
2nd, hytale is not more efficient than mojang. its been worked on for 5 years just for a beta.
3rd, they are not competition. one is like a free range 3d legos, while one is a 3d rpg with minecrafty elements.
4th, one of the best parts of minecraft is the lack of gatekeeping. only like 5% of player go to the end, so an end update would be a waste and locking items after bosses would make a lot of player mad.
lol..i tried to like your video twice
Yep I agree, in case you didn't watch my entire video start at 9:30 because I go over Minecraft's amazing simplicity
Yep, I totally agree I just wanted to make a video showing something that maybe could happen
bro you crazy if you think this is gonna beat minecraft, minecraft is about creativity not a story
You may want to watch my entire video. . . (Watch 9:30)
Everyone has access to the same tools and abilities, and part of the fun is seeing what YOU can do with them 😊
Ha! Got to the end of the video. A wonderful review and essay! Well done.👍
Thank you! All glory goes to God for giving me a talent and passion for content creation
3:44 wynncraft!!
Dude left out so much content when explaining the "story" of minecraft. Ever heard of the nether?! Did you forget that as a part of beating the game?
1.16 was the best update
Agreed, now we need an end update
