    This was great! One thing, it's not intuitive (counter-intuitive even) why eccentric exercises build power. Could you explain? Thanks!

      It's known in the strength literature that it builds strength and elasticity better than only working concentrics. However, as you can probably guess, concentrics are needed for great plyometric and fast-twitch spring.
      I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly why aside from the fact that it produces results better than just working concentrics.

    So off ice, you try to increase your force output and get more fast twitch, off ice, you try to increase your cadence?

      @@Birdthathasinternet i don't know where your abilities are at in terms of strength, speed, mechanical ability, and structural balance. So for you I don't know.
