Fantastic video! It's not only informative but also does a brilliant job showcasing the potential of the IT-BPM sector in Sri Lanka. Thank you for highlighting the island's promising capabilities in such a smart and engaging way!!!!🇱🇰
What the hell SL people with IT education searching jobs in India also. These seems to be a promotion for China scaming jobs. But in SL not easy to do that easy using foreigners(Human trafficking not easy at all).
IT industry is one of the best option for Sri Lankans living and working in Sri Lanka as companies both large and small from other parts of the world looking to outsource. India already have capitalized on this and this is why so many major companies like IBM and Microsoft has large scale operations in India.
Your vlog has such a positive appeal. Lot of Sri Lankans have resigned to their fate with negativity on all fronts. They rather sit and complain than do anything positive and lucrative to benefit them and the nation. Thank you for changing this perception 😊
Shenellie, you have a great talent of giving the story very effective manner. Give information about successful industries, bpo industry, and other positive stories will encourage people in Sri Lanka to work hard and develop their families, country and improve the economy. Great job! Waiting for more videos from Sri Lanka please.
Whether you gauge by demography, geography, economy or any other metric Asia is already the present - and it is certainly the future. It is for this reason that we cannot afford to continue to get Asia so wrong. The newest crop of top ranked universities, Asia is also the most ethnically, linguistically and culturally diverse region of the planet. The rapid bleeding between Europe and Asia unfolding today portends a continental superfusion. As global Markets open , ethnic conflict worsens and democracy in developing nations turn ugly and violent. The lesson we need to learn!
Excellent video as always. Your videos are a showcase for everyone on the true potential of Sri Lanka. Please do keep up the good work. Looking forward to more videos like these.
Love your variety of content and passion for this beautiful country. I hope foreign countries can invest more, which would not only benefit them but also give young people from colleges all parts and all over Sri lanka opportunities to thrive and prosper. Keep at it, and l also wish the government and locals work on beautifying all tourist areas like the floating market and beaches. This is a beautiful country, and it should be shown as such. The best food, beaches and soo much more. You are incredible and keep posting and promoting your beautiful Sri lanka
I watched an eye-opening video about the industry I work in, which has a new name that sounds cooler - IT-BPM. It involves remote work with IT software in the US and around the world, which is the way to go. My Sri Lankan colleagues and I have been appreciated extensively by our colleagues in the US for our work ethics. We are hard workers. However, I noticed that in rural and even suburban areas, there is a lack of ability to communicate in English. It seems that rural parents do not take English seriously, as they keep looking for government jobs that limit the employee to Sri Lanka and do not open them up to the world.
Thankfully this is changing with the younger generation as more an more rural kids get exposed to social media and english to a lesser degree thanks to it. ofcourse this does not entirely solve the problem (Social media brings its own set of issues in to the mix). but in our travels we have seen kids from all corners of the island who have the initiative be able to succeed and run thriving businesses/operations from their rural homes thanks to being curious and able to access the internet. Hope the trend exponentially grows in the coming years.
Yes we did. whilst some functions may be redundant in the near future. most if not all of the BPM's are integrating AI into their operations to offer clients a better product and service. this also means all stakeholders in the BPM are being upskilled at the same time.
This, I believe, is Sri Lanka's biggest economic and humanitarian challenge and unfortunately its all up to bussineses, individuals and people who see opportunities.
Bro, come to colombo and associate educated real sinhalese, not the low cast people from villages. You have to explore much. Because there's lot of sinhalese who grewup together with other nationalties, they doesn't have any discrimination at all.
