Thank you for the info,2nd yr keeping and in need of drawn comb to boost my hive numbers,(started with 2,at 6 now, want 10 ) so feeding them as much as possible, which have to say, really enjoy watching them go after it! Your channel is really helpful!!
I found that after making splits, the new nucs seem to be very interested in drawing new comb. They seem to want to festoon more often when placed in this artificial swarm mode. Giving them no choice is your best bet! Thanks for the advice doc! Love your channel.
It really makes me scratch my head when I hear beekeepers say they extract honey using cheesecloth to strain it out of the wax combs. What a terrific waste of resources.

Hello, how do you keep the bees from storing so much nectar that they leave little room for the queen to lay eggs?
they need more room , when there is not enough room in the hive they will fill every cell they can
For new bees , wax on wax off 😜
