@@ghostmachine241 i agree, having listened to a couple of their performances, as a result of the homogeneity they all have this tonal nature that is hard to describe, but hypnotic is a good way to put it.
It's like an orchestral string section - part of the point is that they all sound the same, so together they get a HUGE sound. I would, though, say that were I doing this and really serious about it, I'd get an acoustic bass guitar, tune it C - G - D - A, double the bottom line an octave down with it, and encourage two other guys to do the same thing.

They don't sound as good as an actual acoustic guitar, that's the hang up of them. "Needs more plastic!" is not a tone wood benefit.
Imagine how good this would sound on proper acoustic guitars.
