It's time to Vanish | 66.25m / 217ft | Feadship

On Vanish, Feadship went beyond the call of duty to meet its own high standards of perfection. The exterior styling by Eidsgaard Design, for example, called for extra thick teak caprails that follow the contours of the bulwarks. The joinery department created a life-size mock-up to perfect the lamination technique required to achieve diameters in excess of 25 centimetres.

I found out about Vanish & it's unbelievable specs while reading about the owner(Larry Van Tuyl) in Orange Coast magazine.
Larry had purchased a couple of beautiful properties in Newport Beach(where I grew up) from the Irvine family(whose daughter I went to school with and whose family are the heirs to the City of Irvine empire)
Larry made his $ in car dealerships starting in Kansas City with his late father. In 2015, he sold 81 dealerships to Warren Buffet for approx 4 billion dollars
So although I can't help but be amazed by this incredible *super* yacht, I'm *not* impressed by the owner..he *definitely* had a *huge* head start by working with his already rich father in the late '60s-early '70's.
So it's definitely *not* an interesting self-made wealth story; which is always the best kind of story IMO
However, Vanish is undoubtedly an incredibly impressive *super* yacht that puts the mere 100 or so foot yachts on the TV show Below Deck to shame lol
