Any Good? Lunch With A View At The AFAN LODGE In The Afan Valley

Mel’s with me so it must be lunch. This time we’re in the Afan Valley near Port Talbot South Wales for lunch in the Afan Lodge.
This time we went to a new restaurant and not an old Welsh country pub but the area is full of history. It was once very industrial with ironworks and coal mines, very different to the forested valley you can see today.
It’s very near the main carpark for the Afan Forest Park which is popular for walking and mountain bikes.
We visited the Afan Lodge for lunch midweek. this trip was NOT sponsored in any way.

Hi both, good to see you both so near to my home. I frequently go to Afan Lodge for drinks and food, it’s a good place for both the food and views. It’s a beautiful area and really friendly too, give the following places a thought in your next adventure, The Brit at Cwmafan, Corner house at Llangwynd, Colliiers Arms at Pontrhydyfen and the Refreshment Room at Cymmer.

Hi both, good to see you back in the Afan valley, it is a beautiful place, being the valley I'm originally from😂. The building is actually an old building, it's the old miners institute known as the Dyffryn and Cynon welfare Hall. Great video as usual 👌

Hello from the States. Another enjoyable pub lunch video. Good food with great views. The presentation of the food was amazing. The size of the Cajun Chicken burger was huge, American-sized.
