Ridiculously high level wild magicarps are the best thing in pokemon and I hope they start doing it again.

They should add a route with level 100 magikarps. Not 99, 100. So you can never evolve them
@@ENCHANTMEN_ Actually you can give level 100 pokemon a rare candy to still evolve them, pretty sure they added that in gen 8 iirc.

@@ENCHANTMEN_ I can see why some would dislike this but, I think it's need when mons get new evos. For instance, if someone had a level 100 Dunsparce, it'd kinda suck if they couldn't evolve it after moving it to gen 9 just because the evo didn't exist before.

When I first read the title, I thought Shuckle was somehow going to sweep the entirety of Red's team thanks to some sort of programming oversight or something crazy like that. While certainly disappointing to learn that wasn't the case, it's still a cool video, I enjoyed it a lot! The editing was tight, I really appreciated that!
There is something somewhat similar to that, but that's a topic for a future video. 😉

I don't see why everyone complains about the bugs, grab a flying type and you can deal with them just fine. 😀
Yeah, I don't buy this. I sunk hundreds of hours into HeartGold and Platinum without ever encountering a glitch, you have to make a conscious effort to trigger them. Huge performance issues and clipping through the world are not at all uncommon in Scarlet/Violet, meanwhile. They're Gen 1 levels of broken.
@@dswrabkln4900 Have you tried headbutting trees? Bugs love to hide in them in that game. I remember one time I was looking for Heracross and suddenly I got trapped in the level geometry.

I've heard Keizaron say before that Toto actually beats Sprout Tower faster to some degree, bc of Cyndaquil not getting Ember until lv 10. Think it has more to due with the nerfs to Rage, Fury Cutter.

9:41 Constrict actually has 10 base power, not 35. But considering Shuckle has like, the 3rd lowest ATK stat in the FRANCHISE (& it's level 20 vs Level 88.), it's not that big a difference; Constrict is still completely unusable. Heck, even with a better species & level it's almost certainly an awful choice!

Constrict's name is misleading, sounds powerful, but in truth it's a Move so weak, even Tackle is a better alternative, the Move many players replace with something better as soon as possible

I don't understand; Tweaking was an oversight in D/P and then "slightly patched" in Platinum. You were stuck when trying to move, making Tweaking basically useless.

I was so confused by the title at first, thinking you meant Pokémon Red not Trainer Red.
I will usually try to title my videos as "Pokemon Red" instead of just "Red" if that helps a bit haha. It was just hard to fit a Pokemon title in this one. I'll definitely keep this in mind for future titles though!

technically you could program Shuckle into Pokemon Red with Arbitrary Code Execution and then beat the game with it

I believe it's because shuckle is always guaranteed (no need to waste time looking for one) and because the stats/nature thing he mentioned. You might be able to bait quick attack with another pokemon with encore, but since you might waste time looking for one rather than receiving one for free, it ends up being preferable.
